BELL, CLEERE, COLLIER posted by Nancy Cleere Rodgers on Sunday, January 19, 1997

I would like to locate the marriage of my g-grandfather, Cornelius Eaton CLEERE and 2nd wife, (Sarah) Margaret COLLIER said to have married Aug. 31, 1865. Neal settled in Freestone Co. by 1871 after moving from Lawrence Co., AL. It's not known if his seco nd marriage was in AL or TX . So far I can not find a record in Freestone Co., TX or Lawrence Co., AL for this marriage. On June 1880 Census of Freestone Co. it lists: Neal, wife Sarah A. and four children who were born in TX; Mattie V.1871c, Robt. C. 187 3, Washington L. 1875, and Margaret B.1877. Margaret's mother's maiden name might have been BELL(E). I believe Margaret Collier Cleere died after mid-1880 as Neal remarried in Oct. 1881. Since families often traveled together perhaps Margaret's COLLIER fa mily moved to Freestone Co. and there are descendants who may know of her family. I would appreciate any information in discovering the complete full name of Margaret COLLIER, where she married, and any information on her parents and siblings
