Freestone County is located in: Senate District 5, House District 8, and Congressional District 5

The earliest land surveys by the Spanish in 1833 and 1835
The land was considered part of Robertson County after December 14, 1837.
Then the land was considered part of Limestone County in 1846
Freestone County was created from Limestone County on Sept 6, 1850.
Freestone County was organized January 6, 1851.
