This cemetery is located about one mile west of
Brooks, KY at the top of Brooks Hill Road. It is accessible from the I-65 interchange at
Brooks and sets just off the road. It is kept in very good condition with only a couple of
broken headstones.
There are about 20 very weathered and worn headstones that were
obviously set without inscription. Over half of the headstones are fairly new and of
granite or marble reflecting excellent care by being a replacement in some instances
according to the dates. This alpha list is incomplete at this time.

This cemetery is located off Knob Creek Road approximately one mile west of Barrelton about 150 yards up Wierd Road. There is another cemetery (REDDON family, fairly new) adjacent to the gravesites and separated by a fence. The Wierd Cemetery is not kept up and, albeit the season, would have been very difficult to locate or see from the road even though the headstones are within reaching distance from a vehicle. The fence serves as a property boundary. There is only one footstone with the initials "H W" on it which is not in the proximity of the Henry Wire grave. Without markers, no other graves could be indentified. There appeared to be at least four more depicted by indentations in the ground in line with other graves. The names in the Wierd Cemetery do not match the cemetery name as the road name does. The only visible headstones are listed below with obvious other graves not marked. This cemetery name appears on the USGS Topo map dtd. 1959.

I went up to the cemetery on the hillside off Collings road. It is about a 100 yards up the hill. I paced it off at 26paces by 16paces next time will try to remember to take a measuring tape. The cemetery is quite overgrown. There are a few headstones I cannot get to without a weed-eater and a big knife. There are also a few that are fallen over. There are also quite a few headstones outside of the main cemetery. At the gate there is a stone with the name Collings. It is fairly new so I'm assuming it is just for the name of the cemetery.

Sheperdsville City Cemetery
Submitted as a partial list by: Tom Hembrey
This is the old City cemetery dating from late 1700 to very early 1900. It is located at the end of W 1st Street in Sheperdsville, KY. The layout depicts the size to be near a full football field in dimension. There is no distinct row formation. Some of the original iron fencing is still present. Many of the headstones are toppled and broken. The area is wooded with heavy undergrowth at present. Restoration and cleanup is being planned.
