Thursday, Aug. 30. 1973 PELLA FARMER IS KILLED IN FARM MISHAP A Shawano county farmer was killed this morning in a mishap about
8:30 A.M. Sheriff Sandy Montour said the victim was Louis E. Wissmann,
67, of Rt. 3 Clintonville. According to the sheriff, Wissmann was removing
concrete from a silo room with a mall at his town of Pella farm when a
large piece of concrete fell on him. He was pronounced dead at the scene
by Shawano count Coroner, Douglas Knope. The Shawano ambulance was called
to the scene.
Friday, Aug. 31, 1973 LOUIS WISSMANN, TN. PELLA, DIES FROM INJURIES Louis E. Wissmann, 67, town of Pella, died Thursday morning, Aug.
30. His death was the result of injuries received in a farm accident when
part of a silo caved in on him. Mr. Wissmann was born Feb. 11, 1906 in
the town of Pella. He was the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. August Wissmann
and had lived in the town of Pella, where he farmed all of his life. His
marriage to Leona Braun took place on Nov. 22, 1930 in the town of Pella.
He was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran church and a former trustee of
the church. Survivors are his wife. Leona; 1 daughter, Ruth Wissmann at
home and 1 son Carl, also at home. Other survivors are a brother John Wissmann,
Pella. and 2 sisters, Mrs. Lydia Grunewald, town of Grant, and Louise,
Mrs. Donald Tellock, Pella. Two brothers preceded him in death. Funeral
services will be conducted on Sunday at 2:00 PM at Bethlehem Lutheran church,
town of Pella. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
