GEORGE NEWTON, 67 OF SHAWANO DIES ON MONDAY

George Newton, 67 of 508 North LaFayette St., Shawano, died at Green Bay Monday afternoon, May 19. His death was unexpected.

Mr. Newton was born Feb 15, 1902 in the town of Wescott. He was supervisor of the trucking department at Badger Co-op where he had been employed for the past 34 years. He was a member of St. James church.

Mr. Newton was married June 9f 1928 at Waukegan, Ill. to Lena Behling. She survives. Other survivors are one daughter, Joline, Mrs. Dan Nuske of Shawano and 2 granddaughters, Dani Jo and Darsi Sue. Also a sister, Mrs. Olive Kabat, and a brother, Dewey Newton, both of Manitowoc. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.

BRATZ SERVICES 2 P.M. TUESDAY 

Ferdinand Bratz, 90, died this morning. Aug. 5, on the home farm in the town 
of Seneca. The son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Fredrick Bratz, he was born May 6, 1877 on the same farm. He spent his entire life on this farm and it is presently occupied by the fourth generation of the family. He married Helen Bublitz on Oct. 15, 1913. who survives. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1963. 

Other survivors besides his wife are three children: Arthur on the home farm. Margaret. Mrs. Henry Wetzel of Bear Creek and Irma. Mrs. Joe Bohr. Rt. 1. Shawano. 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. A son, Otto. died in 1962. 

He was a member of the Elias Lutheran church in the town of Herman where funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
