Funeral services for Asa Balke 75. Who died early Sunday at the Tigerton Hospital, will be held at 2 PM Wednesday at the Bethlehem Lutheran church, town of Pella. Mr. Balke. Who resided in the town of Pella until a few years ago when he went to live with his son Ruben Balke in the town of Wittenberg, had been in failing health for some time. He died within a few hours after being hospitalized. 

Born Jan. 12, 1885, the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. William Balke he was a farmer by occupation. Besides farming he was a mason contractor and also was active in logging and threshing operations in his community. Mr. Balke was married to Anna Laude, March 9, 1910 at Pella and she preceded him in death in 1956. Survivors include a son, Ruben, Town of Wittenberg and a brother, Alex Balke of Shawano. 
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
