His father once walked to New London for a sack of flour, and that city held the only post office for many miles.

In the early 1900's the deceased was town chairman of Pella for eight years. In 1892, he was married to Mary Braun at the Bethlehem church, Mrs. Moldenhauer died 20 years ago.

Survivors include 10 children, Ella, Mrs. Helmuth Verch, Marion, Louise, Mrs. Walter Weix, Shawano; Mrs. Ida Gary, Detroit; Hazel, Mrs. Woodrow Boaz, McKenzie, Tenn; Bernice Moldenhauer, Peshtigo; Richard, Cincinnati; Otto, Shawano; Fred, on the home farm; Alex, Bonduel, and Mark, McKenzie, Tenn. One son Paul and a daughter, Lydia, preceded him in death. Other survivors are 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one sister, Emma, Mrs. Frank Krause of Antigo.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 at the Bethlehem Lutheran church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
