Last fall when the great epidemic Spanish Influenza was around he took sick with it and has been in poor health since. This fall on the 9th of September he was taken to Willowbrook Sanitarium at Kenosha to cure the sickness. He was there five weeks when the family received the call saying he was very ill. He died Wednesday morning Oct. 15 at the hospital. The remains were sent home Thursday for burial. The funeral was held Saturday at the Johannes Lutheran church at Seneca, The funeral was very largely attended and the flowers were beautiful. Rev. Stubenvoll delivered the sermon.
