WATER, Heinrich, one of the oldest settlers in this area if not in Shawano County, will be eighty-eight years old this coming August.  He is still lively and communicative but a little hard of hearing.  His place of birth was in Lahr, Baden, Germany.  Everyone there it appears also the famous hinsender calendar messenger.  Shortly after the revolution of 1848 he came to this land, settled in Milwaukee and labored a number of years for the Pfister and Bogel Company in the tannery in Two Creeks, Wis.  In 1872-73 Mr Watter came with his family on a homestead in Seneca.  His children are all settled here in this area.  Three of his sons are on farms.  We wish this old gentleman many happy hours in his life.
