Leedstown

The once busy harbor of Leedstown, was a busy port by the late 1600s, and was the arrival point of many early VA. emigrants. Here, the "Leedstown Resolutions" were drawn up, the first example of colonial sentiment against the Stamp Act. Today there is no trace of the town.
