Settled as early as 1619, this house was built in 1854 by Albert Carroll Jones. The plantation is now maintained as an exhibition farm by the Virginia Division of State Parks.

In Claremont, it remains a part of Southwark Parish but has been deemed a shrine, a place for special services.
