Asbury Church

Finished in 1894. Confederate Veterans helped to build it. The land was donated by the Sayers' of Massadale Farm.

Brentsville School

Built in 1928, it served grades one through five. It was the last functioning one-room schoolhouse in the county. It closed in 1944.

Brentsville Union Church

Circa 1880. In 2001 it was saved from collapse and restored.

County Courthouse

Built in 1822, it served as the fourth courthouse for the county.

County Jail

Built by 1822, it was larger than most jails in Virginia built at that time.

William Leachman's Cabin Today

Park Gate

A pre-Revolutionary small frame house, believed to have been built before 1750. Once the home of Thomas Lee, eldest son of Richard Henry Lee. Once owned by a niece of George Washington. He visited there.

Weems-Botts House

Built around 1798. It served as a bookshop and lodging. The first biography of George Washington was written here by Mason Locke Weems. He sold the place to Benjamin Botts, the attorney who defended Aaron Burr in his trial for treason.

Williams Ordinary

A colonial Georgian structure. It has all header-bond brickwork with a proportioned five bay facade. It has been a Virginia and National Landmark for many years.
