Point of Honor

Built in 1805, by Dr George Cabell, on Cabell Street on Daniel's Hill. Dr Cabell was a friend of Thomas Jefferson and a physician of Patrick Henry. Known as "The Mansion" till the doctor died in 1823. Inherited by his son,William Lewis Cabell,primary owners,George Cabell, Sr, Lewellen Jones, James R. Gilliam, Jr, Judge William Daniel and Robert L Owens. One of the oldest homes in Lynchburg.
