On Dismal Creek, just north of the "notch" in the Bland/Giles boundary.

HOBBS' Log Home

Built in 1830 by Thomas Jefferson HOBBS with help from his father, James HOBBS. The stone chimney, cracked by an 1897 earthquake, remains intact and usable.
