Historical Markers - Charlotte County Virginia

Thanks to Louis Hawes 14 August 1998

Mr. Hawes writes of his interesting project:

I am retired from the Postal Service in Northern Virginia. I traveled around the area in my job and saw the markers and just got interested in them and started taking pictures of them. I along with a friend,  Al Merriman, of Chincoteague Va., have traveled the entire state taking historical marker pictures.  I have pictures of markers somewhere in the 1600 range.  More are erected by the state each year and that makes this an ongoing project.
