TYNES, ANGENETTA 12 Jun 1835 17 Jan 1896 This is the brother of my grgreatgrandfather Robert Fisher Tynes (1805 - 1888) who went to Alabama then Itawamba Co. Mississippi. His parents: Capt. Robert Tynes and Martha Gibbs of Isle of Wight County. His siblings: Henry S. Tynes (1804) of Nansemond Co.; Merrit M. Tynes (1808); Belvedere Tynes (1810); Winfield Scott Tynes (1815); James Jackson Tynes (23 May 1819 - 13 Jan 1896) m. Angenetta H. Corbett (12 Jun 1835 - 17 Jan 1896); and Elizabeth Tynes. Capt. Robert Tynes (War of 1812) was son of Henry, who was son of Robert Tynes, son of Timothy Tynes of Isle of Wight County, of some prominence in the county. They were vestrymen at St. Luke's, justices. The Tynes Store (now called Tynes Plantation) 1750 home still stands just north of Isle of Wight on US 258. This was a tragedy - James and Angenetta died within days of each other.
