Additional Comments
I was fortunate to be his wife for 16.5 years. I was with him when he was diagnosed with cancer. I was with him until his grave was closed. Joe selected to die at home. That is how much he loved me and how much he showed his trust in me to care for him. I am still receiving cards from people who knew him 'back when'. They all are missing him as a friend, a MSgt, the historian in the squadron, the leader who could lead. I miss him as my friend, my lover, my hero, my husband. I miss our weekends together. Even if we were in separate parts of the house, we knew we were together. Sleep peacefully my love until we can rejoice together; "...for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life;......John 5: 28-29
