  Hazel J. Loser 
   
  Hazel J. Loser LANCASTER Hazel J. Loser, 81, of Woodcrest Villa, passed away 
  unexpectedly on Friday, May 14, 2010. She was married for 57 years to Theodore 
  C. Loser, Jr., who passed away in 2005. She was the daughter of the late 
  Jonathan K. and Clara Sipling Brownsberger. Hazel received her Bachelor's 
  degree from Millersville University and held several social services positions. 
  She had served as Director of the YWCA Holiday House; as a social worker with 
  Tressler – Lutheran Services assisting with refugee resettlement; and with 
  Catholic Charities working with the elderly. She also worked as executive 
  director of the Lancaster Mediation Center, and as a partner in the Divorce 
  Mediation Association of Central Pennsylvania. She was an active member of 
  First Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, and a supporter of the Lancaster Red Rose 
  Chorus. She enjoyed travel and visited many countries in Asia and Europe. She 
  loved people and animals, and took special delight in all children. Surviving 
  are two sons, Robert C. Loser of Alexandria, Va., and Rev. Michael, husband of 
  Elizabeth D. Loser of Dover; grandchildren, Christopher A., husband of Heather 
  R. Loser of York, and Bethany A., wife of Karl R. Fisher of Williamsport; 
  greatgrandchildren, Landon M. Loser and Sabra E. Fisher; sister, Thelma Miller 
  of Lancaster; and brother, Paul Brownsberger of Lebanon. She was preceded in 
  death by two sisters, Martha Shirk and Mary Weik; and two brothers, John and 
  Amos Brownsberger. Funeral services will be held from the First Presbyterian 
  Church, 140 E. Orange St., Lancaster, 17602 on Thursday at 11 a.m. The family 
  will visit with friends from 10:15 a.m. until the time of the service. Private 
  interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, 
  contributions may be sent to the First Presbyterian Church Emergency Assistance 
  Fund. Arrangements are by the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home.
