  1. An act authorizing compensation to FREDERICK REIDENOWER for damages done
  by a certain state road.
  That the written application of Frederick Reidenower, of Pike Twp., Berks Co.
  if made within one year after the passage of this act, the judges of the
  quarter session of Berks Co. are to appoint six disinterested men to adjudge
  the amount of the damages (if any) sustained by Frederick Reidenower because
  of a state road leading from Orwigsburg, Schuylkill Co. to Stetler's Tavern
  in the county of Montgomery, passing through Berks co. carried through land
  of Frederick Reidenower in Earl Twp. the commissioners shall pay amount
  awarded to him, less the amount decided upon by the advantages derived by
  Frederick Reidenower of the road passing through his lands.  20 Dec 1831

  2. An act to incorporate the town of Landisburg, Perry county, into a borough
  and to appoint trustees for the public school.
  That it shall be the duty of JACOB ALBERT, SAMUEL MURRAY and HENRY HIPPLE, of
  the first election shall appoint some other day to hold the election.

  That JOHN KIBLER, HENRY FETTER and JOHN DIVEN SEN., are hereby appointed
  trustees of the public school within the borough.  23 Dec 1831.

  3. An act to authorize MINERVA ROSSITER to confirm a certain contract.
  Whereas JESSE M. ROSSITER, late of the township of Schuylkill, county of
  Chester, died intestate, leaving a widow Minerva Rossiter and issue one
  child, SUSANNA M. ROSSITER, a minor, owning about 161 acres and a short time
  before his death, contracted for the sale of about 50 acres, part of the
  above mentioned tract, and having marked off same, died previous to the sale.
  That Minerva Rossiter, administratrix, of Jesse M. Rossiter, is hereby
  authorized to grant, sell all rights of said 50 acres and to grant a good
  deed to the purchaser.    5 Jan 1832

  4. An act for the relief of MARY WELSH the widow of a revolutionary soldier,
  The state treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Mary Welsh of Butler
  County, widow of a revolutionary soldier, forty dollars immediately, and an
  annuity of forty dollars payable half yearly, during life, to commence on the
  1 Jan 1832.  5 Jan 1832.

  5. An act for the relief of MARY SMITH, widow of JOHN SMITH, late paymaster
  of the eighty eighth regiment Pennsylvania militia,
  The state treasurer is hereby authorized to pay Mary Smith of the County of
  Philadelphia the sum of $120.28, the balance due her late husband, as
  paymaster of the 88th Regt. Pa. Mil.  5 Jan 1832.

  8. An act appointing trustees for the Providence preparative meeting, of the
  society of Friends.
  Whereas, JAMES PURVIANCE and ELIZABETH PURVIANCE his wife, did grant, by
  deed, dated 6 Dec 1789, 15 1/4 acres, situated in the township of Washington,
  Fayette county, Pa., to JOHN COOPE, EBENEZER WALKER and JONATHAN HEWIT, in
  trust for the members for the use of a meeting house and grave yard, and it
  has been represented that John Coope, Ebenezer Walker and Jonathan Hewit, are
  deceased.  Therefore, JESSE COLDREN and JOSEPH NEGUS are hereby appointed
  trustees.  11 Jan 1832. 

  10. An act for the relief of CATHARINE CURREY, the widow of a revolutionary
  soldier,
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Catharine Currey, of
  Allegheny County, the widow of a revolutionary soldier, forty dollars as a
  gratuity.   11 Jan 1832.

  11. A supplement to an act incorporating the borough of Waynesburg, approved
  25 Jan 1831.
  That the first election of officers shall be held on the first monday of
  March next, and JAMES BURNS and GEORGE BASHORE are hereby appointed to
  publish and superintend the election.  11 Jan 1832.

  12. A supplement to an act for opening a lock on Neshamony creek, in Bucks
  county, passed 26 Mar 1814.
  That THOMAS G. KENNEDY, JOSEPH JENKS and THOMAS L. ALLEN, are hereby
  appointed commissioners in the room of JOHN HULME, JONATHAN BUCKMAN and
  JOSEPH RICHARDSON JR., dec., with the same powers.  11 Jan 1832.

  15. An act to open and improve part of a state road from SAMUEL HILLS, in
  Greene county, Pennsylvania, to Middlebourne, Virginia,
  Whereas the legislature of Va. appropriated $5000.00 to open and improve the
  state road on the Va. side on condition that an appropriation should be made
  for completing that part which lies within the state of Pa.
  It is hereby enacted that the sum of $2500.00 is hereby appropriated to be
  paid to DAVID SELLARS, ASA MCCLELLAND and SAMUEL MORRIS, on warrants drawn by
  the governor, and shall be expanded by them in opening so much of the state
  road leading from Samuel Hill's in Franklin Twp. Greene Co. Pa. to
  MiddleBourne Va. as lies in Greene county and the said commissioners shall be
  allowed $1.50 for each day and shall be paid out of the county treasurer.  21
  Jan 1832.

  17. An act authorizing the laying out of streets and roads in the township of
  Passyunk, in the county of Philadelphia.
  That THOMAS D. GROVER, WILLIAM G. ALEXANDER, and FREDERICK G. WOLBERT, are
  hereby appointed commissioners to survey streets, roads and lanes.  24 Jan 1832.

  19. An act for the relief of MAGDALENA HORN and NANCY CLARK, widows of
  revolutionary soldiers,
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay Magdalena Horn of York
  County, the widow of a revolutionary soldier, forty dollars immediately, and
  an annuity of forty dollars payable half yearly, to commence on the 1 Jan 1832.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay Nancy Clark, of Guernsey
  County, Ohio, the widow of a revolutionary soldier, forty dollars as a
  gratuity.   24 Jan 1832.

  24. An act to change the names of PHILIP WILLIAM BURGHOLTHOUS, ANTHONY DANIEL
  BURGHOLTHOUS, and BERNARD HENRY BURGHOLTHOUS, of the county of York,
  That Philip William Burgholthous is authorized to change his name from Philip
  William Burgholthous, to PHILIP WILLIAM BURG.

  That Anthony Daniel Burgholtous is hereby authorized to change his name from
  Anthony Daniel Burgholtous to ANTHONY DANIEL BURG.

  That Barnard Henry Burgholthous is hereby authorized to change his name from
  Barnard Henry Burgholthous to BARNARD HENRY BURG.  30 Jan 1832.

  25. An act for the relief of MARY CAMPBELL, the widow of a revolutionary
  soldier,
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Mary Campbell, of the city
  of Philadelphia, widow of a soldier of the revolutionary war, forty dollars
  immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars during life, payable half
  yearly, to commence 1 Jan 1832.  30 Jan 1832.

  28. An act authorizing the commissioners of Berks county to build a Toll
  Bridge over the river Schuylkill at Poplar Neck.
  That PETER KLINE JR., of Greenwich, JOHN MILLER, Albany, JOHN RITTER of
  Colebrookdale, DANIEL EYSTER of Pike, JACOB BAUMAN of Earl, and HENRY KEELY
  of Douglass, are hereby appointed commissioners fix a site for a bridge over
  the river Schuylkill at Poplar Neck in the county of Berks, near the road
  that leads from the borough of Reading to the city of Philadelphia.  31 Jan 1832. 

  30. An act for the relief of DIETER SNYDER and JOHN MOSER, soldiers of the
  revolutionary war,
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Dieter Snyder, of
  Schuylkill County, a soldier of the revolution, forty dollars immediately and
  an annuity of forty dollars, payable half yearly , to commence on the 1 Jan 1832.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to John Moser, of Butler
  County, a soldier of the revolution, forty dollars immediately, and an
  annuity of forty dollars payable half yearly, to commence on 1 Jan 1832.
  31 Jan 1832.

  31. An act for the relief of AGNES VAUGHN, the widow of a soldier of the
  revolutionary war.
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Agnes Vaugh of Mercer
  county, the widow of a soldier of the revolution, forty dollars immediately,
  and an annuity of forty dollars during life, payable half yearly, to commence
  on 1 Jan 1832.  31 Jan 1832.

  32. A supplement to an act entitled, An act granting authority to purchase
  real estate with certain moneys of SAMUEL DICKSON M'CLOY,  a minor, and
  authorizing the guardian of JOHN EVENS, a minor, to purchase certain real
  estate, passed the twelfth day of April, 1828.
  That all the powers granted by the first section of act to the guardian of
  Samuel Dickson M'Cloy, a minor, are hereby transferred to JEREMIAH EMERY  and
  EBENEZER MCCLELLAND of Washington Co. the present guardians of said minor.
  31 Jan 1832.

  33. An act to incorporate the Williamsburg, Martinsburg and Bedford turnpike
  road company.
  That for the purpose of making a turnpike road, beginning at MAXWELL
  KINKEAD's on the northern turnpike, Huntingdon county, through Williamsburg
  and Martinsburg, to a point near Snake Springs on the southern turnpike,
  Bedford county, Maxwell Kinkead, SAMUEL ROYER, JOHN BINGHAM, DAVID LOY and
  JAMES MOORE, are hereby appointed commissioners.  7 Feb 1832.

  34. An act establishing the boundary line between Vanango and Jefferson
  counties.
  In Sep 1830, RICHARD IRWIN ESQ., marked the boundary line between Venango and
  Jefferson counties to the satisfaction of both counties.  Therefore the line
  is hereby confirmed and established as the boundary between the counties.  7
  Feb 1832.

  37. An act for the relief of GEORGE DREWS, a soldier of the revolutionary war,
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay George Drews, of
  Montgomery Co. a soldier of the revolution, forty dollars as a gratuity for
  his revolutionary services.  7 Feb 1832.

  41. An act authorizing the executors of JAMES GUTHRIE, deceased, to sell and
  convey certain real estate,
  That the executors named in the last will and testament of James Guthrie,
  late of the county of Westmoreland, dec. are hereby authorized to sell and
  convey  a certain tract of land situated in said county and described in a
  deed of conveyance from ISAAC PARR and wife to SAMUEL GUTHRIE, dec. in trust,
  dated 6 Feb 1819.  10 Feb 1832.

  42. An act to authorize the judges of the court of Common Pleas of Centre
  county to receive proof of the purchase and payment of the purchase money of
  a certain tract or lot of land in Lamar Twp. in said county by a certain
  DAVID WATSON, and for other purposes,
  Containing 3 acres, and 60 perches, by a certain David Watson from a certain
  WILLIAM LAMB, who died without executing a deed for the premises, and without
  having made any provision for the transfer of the same.
  The administrator of William Lamb dec. is empowered to execute a deed for the
  premises aforesaid to the said David Watson, under such rents and conditions
  as the said dec. had held the same at the time of his death.   10 Feb 1832.

  43. An act for the relief of ANDREW SHUSTER, a soldier of the revolutionary
  war,
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay Andrew Shuster, of the city
  of Philadelphia, a soldier of the revolution, forty dollars immediately and
  an annuity of forty dollars during life, payable half yearly, to commence on
  1 Jan 1832.   10 Feb 1832.

  44. An act to legitimate JOHN MILTON RUTHERFORD and WILLIAM RUTHERFORD, sons
  of JOHN RUTHERFORD, of the county of Dauphin,
  That John Milton Rutherford, son of John Rutherford of Upper Swatara Twp.
  Dauphin Co. by ANN MAXWELL, and William Rutherford, son of John Rutherford by
  PRISCILLA BARRETT, now PRISCILLA RUTHERFORD, wife of John, the said William
  having been born before marriage, shall have and enjoy all rights and
  privileges of children born in wedlock, as if born in wedlock.   10 Feb 1832.

  45. An act to confer on JANE CHAMBERLAIN the rights, privileges and benefits,
  of a child born in lawful wedlock,
  That Jane Chamberlain, late JANE STANLEY, of Hamiltonban Twp. Adams Co. now
  intermarried with JOSEPH CHAMBERLAIN, the illegitimate daughter of REBECCA
  STANLEY, late of Franklin Twp. Adams Co. dec. shall have and enjoy all the
  rights and privileges, of a child born in lawful wedlock.  10 Feb 1832.

  48. An act to incorporate the Pittsburg Navigation and Fire Insurance company.
  That BENJAMIN BAKEWELL, AARON HART, MICHAEL ALLEN, JOHN ARTHURS, JOHN M'KEE,
  ISAAC LIGHTNER, JAMES BROWN, LEWIS HUTCHINSON, JAMES ADAMS JR., HUGH M'SHANE,
  SAMUEL P. DARLINGTON, JOHN GALLAGHER, JAMES S. CRAFT, JAMES RIDDLE ESQ.,
  WILLIAM MCKNIGHT, BENJAMIN DARLINGTON, ABISHAI WAY, JOHN CALDWELL, THOMAS
  FAIRMAN, ALEXANDER ROSEBURG, HUGH DAVIS, JAMES H. MCCLELLAND, CHRISTIAN
  MAGEE, and JOHN GRAHAM, are hereby appointed commissioners, to make all kinds
  of insurance against fire and upon lives, inland transportation of goods,
  wares and merchandise, upon vessels, whether propelled by steam or otherwise
  and upon their cargoes.  15 Feb 1832.

  50. An act to enable ROBERT BROWN, of the borough of Erie, to perfect his
  title to two in lots in the borough of Erie,
  Two in lots in the borough of Erie, #1415 & 1420 in the general plan of lots
  were sold by the commissioner on 27 May 1823 to Robert Brown for $20.00 for
  each lot.  Robert Brown paid 1/3 of the purchase money, $6.66 on each lot,
  but title could not be perfected by reason of a defect in the power of the
  commissioner of sales. A certificate of sale is to be issued to Robert Brown
  for said lots and balance is to be paid by him or heirs to the commissioner
  of Erie Borough and fees for the usual office and patent.   15 Feb 1832.

  52. An act to authorize MARTHA FRALEY to sell and convey certain real estate,
  JESSE FRALEY, husband of Martha Fraley formerly of the city of Philadelphia,
  now of the district of Southwark, Philadelphia Co. about the year 1812
  abandoned his said wife and their two children and has not contributed to
  their support since that time and that afterwards about eight years ago he
  left the city of Philadelphia, with the intention of seeking employment as a
  captain of a merchant vessel, to sail from the city of New York, since which
  time no information has been received from him and it is supposed he is dead.
  The said Martha Fraley is seized in her own right of certain real estate
  which is subject to encumbrances that she has no means of discharging except
  by her personal industry, the avails of which are inadequate to support
  herself and children, and because of the uncertainty of her husbands death,
  she is not able to obtain a purchaser for the said estate.
  Martha Fraley, is authorized during the continued absence of her husband or
  until his return to grant, sell and convey by deed the estate she is entitled
  as if she was a feme sole only, and shall be valid as if her husband were
  living and had joined with her in the said conveyance.   15 Feb 1832.

  53. An act to authorize WILLIAM WATSON, guardian of the minor children of
  JOHN TOD, late of Bedford, deceased, to sell and convey certain lots of
  ground, and vesting the legal estate of certain property in GEORGE W.
  BERTRON, and for other purposes,
  That William Watson, guardian of the minor children of John Tod, late of
  Bedford Co. dec. is hereby authorized to sell two half lots of ground in the
  town of Bedford, Pa. marked in the general os said town as #23 and 24, of
  which John Tod died seized. providing bond and with approval of Orphans court.

  That DAVID TOWNSEND, guardian of HENRY COURT, of the borough of West Chester,
  Chester Co., a minor, is hereby authorized to grant, sell and convey to the
  corporation of the borough of West Chester a lot belonging to said minor, as
  is included within the bounds of Market Street.  The grant so made to the
  corporation shall be for that of a public street or highway.

  Whereas FRANCIS BOUCHIER, by his last will and testament, dated 9 Dec 1774,
  duly proved and registered in the Register's Office at Philadelphia, devised
  (two tenaments, and two lots of ground situate on the north side of Shippen
  St. and east side of Second St. in the district of Southwark, Philadelphia
  Co., one containing 18 feet and in depth 61 feet, with a yearly rent charge
  of $19.00., payable to JOSEPH SHIPPEN, JR.,) to his wife Ann, during her
  natural life, and immediately after her decease, to be sold by his executor
  and moneys from the sale to be equally divided between two brothers and
  sisters in law DENNIS BRYAN, KENDALL BRYAN, ELINOR BRYAN, MARY BRYAN, and his
  son in law JAMES BARNES, to be equally divided and by will appointed his wife
  ANN BOUCHIER, executrix, and his son in law James Barnes Executor.
  James Barnes, executor departed this life prior to 26 Jun 1778, and all the
  parties interested in the moneys by indenture dated 26 Jun 1778, recorded in
  Deeds, Philadelphia, Bood #19, pg. 221 granted and convey the premises herein
  described unto JOHN PALMER, which premises are now vested in George W.
  Bertron, City of Philadelphia. As all parties have received moneys and
  conveyed title by the said indenture yet in consequence of the decease of the
  executor, and there being no person legally empowered to execute the trust in
  his stead, therefore the legal estate is vested in George W. Bertron as fully
  as if the said executor James Barnes had conveyed the same. 15 Feb 1832.

  61. An act for the relief of ULRICH HECKMAN and ADAM SONDAY, 
  soldiers of the revolutionary war.
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay Ulrich Heckman of Northampton
  Co., a soldier of the revolutionary war, forty dollars immediately, and an
  annuity of forty dollars, payable half yearly, to commence on the 1 Jan 1832.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay Adam Sonday, of Centre Co., a
  soldier of the revolutionary war, forty dollars immediately, and an annuity of
  forty dollars payable half yearly to commence on the 1 Jan 1832.   20 Feb 1832.

  62. An act for the relief of MELCHIOR RIFFLE and GEORGE NICHOLAS WENNER,
  soldiers of the revolutionary war,
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Melchior Riffle, of York
  Co., a soldier of the revolution, forty dollars immediately, and an annuity
  of forty dollars, payable half yearly, to commence on the 1 Jan 1832.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay George Nicholas Wenner, of
  Luzerne Co., forty dollars as a gratuity for his revolutionary services.  20

  64. An act to incorporate the Philadelphia and Trenton railroad company.

  65. An act to attach a certain island in the West branch of the river
  Susquehanna, now owned by GEORGE PORTER, to Clinton Twp.
  The island in the West Branch of the Susquehanna river, opposite the farm of
  George Porter, which said island is now attached to Loyalsock Twp., Lycoming
  Co. is hereby attached to the Township of Clinton, Lycoming Co. as if the
  same had always been part of Clinton Twp.   23 Feb 1832.

  66. An act to confer on HANNAH WITHERS the rights and benefits of a child
  born in lawful wedlock.
  That Hannah Withers, late HANNAH SENSEMAN, a daughter of JOSEPH SENSEMAN and
  NANCY SENSEMAN, of the county of Lancaster, born some time before the
  marriage of Joseph and Nancy Senseman, shall have and enjoy all the rights,
  and advantages of a child born in wedlock, and to all intents and purposes as
  if she had been born subsequently to the intermarriage of her parents.   23
  Feb 1832.

  70. An act for the relief of sundry soldiers, and widows of soldiers of the
  revolutionary war,
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay RICHARD HAMILTON of Chester
  Co. forty dollars as a gratuity and compensation in full for his
  revolutionary services.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to FREDERICK BODINE, of
  Lycoming Co., a soldier of the revolutionary war, forty dollars as a gratuity
  and as a full compensation for his revolutionary services.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to MATTHEW GEORGE, of
  Montgomery Co., a soldier of the revolutionary war, forty dollars immediately
  as a gratuity and compensation in full for his revolutionary services.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to MATTHEW HENNEN of Greene
  Co., and HENRY FELL of Northampton Co. forty dollars immediately and an
  annuity of forty dollars payable half yearly, to commence on the 1 Jan 1832.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to CHRISTIAN HERRING, of
  Bedford Co. forty dollars immediately and an annuity of forty dollars payable
  half yearly during life, to commence on 1 Jan 1832.

  Berks Co., a widow of a soldier of the revolutionary war, the sum of forty

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to SAMUEL WILEY, of Fayette
  Co., a soldier of the revolutionary war, the sum of forty dollars,

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to DAVID DONLEY of Washington
  Co., a soldier of the revolutionary war, the sum of forty dollars immediately

  WASHINGTON, PHILIP BERLIN, THOMAS LINDSAY, THOMAS CHAMBERS, JOHN COX, SAMUEL
  DUNN, WILLIAM POTT, JOHN BEAVER SEN., JOSEPH GRUBB, DANIEL SHAFFER, JAMES
  WATSON, JOHN D. WORK, JOSEPH SNIVELY JR., JAMES BURNS, DANIEL ROYER, SAMUEL
  HUGHES JR., JOHN VANCE, JACOB STOUFFER and ANDREW THOMPSON, of Franklin
  County, are hereby appointed commissioners, for the construction and repair
  of a railroad from the borough of Chambersburg, to the boundary line of Pa.
  and joining the river Potomac, or any railroad canal authorized by the state
  of Maryland, and to repair the railroads from the town of Greencastle and

  and JACOB EMMITT of the borough of York, and CHARLES A BARNITZ, of Spring
  Garden, HENRY SNYDER and DANIEL RAMAN of Shrewsbury township, JOSEPH OSBORN
  of York township, JOHN HELLINGS, JOHN SMITH and WILLIAM PATTERSON of Hopewill
  township, are hereby appointed commissioners to construct railways and erect
  steam engines, beginning at the north line of the borough of York, and

  86. An act to incorporate the Philadelphia Exchange Company.
  That JOSPUA LIPPINCOTT, SAMUEL COMLY, ALEXANDER FERGUSON, GEORGE HANDY,
  LAWRENCE LEWIS, WILLIAM D. LEWIS, ASHBEL G. RALSTON, JOHN SITER and WILLIAM
  YARDLEY JR. are hereby declared  to be constituted a body corporate in the
  city of Philadelphia, engaging in any banking, commercial, manufacturing or

  87. An act to incorporate a company for erecting a bridge over Schuylkill
  river and canal at the town of Manayunk.

  MARQUEDENT, SAMUEL STADELMAN, JACOB LEVERING, LOYD JONES, SAMUEL GORGAS,
  GEORGE W. SMICK, JAMES DARRACH, PAUL JONES, J.J. BORIE, ANDREW ADAMS, JOSEPH
  RIPKA, NEWMAND and HALY, NORRIS J. HOFFMAN, ENOCH RITTENHOUSE, JACOB
  RITTENHOUSE, JOHN SCRAVENDYKE, ALEXANDER QUINTON, PERRY W. LEVERING, SILAS G.
  LEVERING, CHARLES V. HAGNER, WILLIAM RAWLEY and JOHN ROBERTS,  are required to
  pay to the treasurer, ten dollars on each and every share. and they are hereby
  incorporated into one body politic and corporate.  Until elections can be held
  Loyd Jones shall be president, John Levering, Paul Jones, Alexander Quinton

  89. An act vesting the right of this commonwealth to the escheated estate of
  JOSEPH DICKS,	deceased, in JAMES DICKS and others,
  That the title which this commonwealth may have acquired by reason of
  escheat, for want of heirs, of Joseph Dicks, dec. of Delaware Co. died seized
  and possessed is hereby vested in James Dicks, WILLIAM DICKS, MARY ANN DICKS,
  SARAH JANE DICKS, PETER R. DICKS and BENJAMIN DICKS, of said county.   24 Mar 1832.

  91.  A supplement to an act to enable the Hebrew congregation Kaal Kadosh
  Miskve Isreal, city of Philadelphia, to lease a lot, belonging to them and
  the Loganian Library, passed 14 Apr 1828.
  The above named congregation has sold and convey a lot of ground, but doubt
  has arisen as to the ability of the trustees to release and extinguish the
  ground rents.  Therefore, SAMUEL HAYS, SIMON GRATZ, ZALEGMAN PHILLIPS and
  ABRAHAM MYERS COHEN trustees of the Hebrew congregation, are hereby
  authorized to sign and execute full releases of certain rent charges on a lot

  County, a soldier of the revolutionary war, forty dollars as a gratuity and

  94. An act for the relief of CONRAD SMITH and ROBERT WRIGHT, soldiers of the
  revolutionary war,
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay Conrad Smith of Franklin Co.,
  a soldier of the revolution, forty dollars immediately, and an annuity of
  forty dollars, payable half yearly to commence on 1 Jan 1832. 

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Robert Wright of
  Cumberland Co., forty dollars as a gratuity for his revolutionary

  95. An act for the relief of the heirs of JOHN FITZGERALD, a soldier of the
  revolutionary war,
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay JACOB DRUMHELLER, in trust
  for the heirs and legal representatives of John Fitzgerald, two hundred
  dollars, as compensation for a tract of donation land to which John
  Fitzgerald became entitled by his revolutionary services.  24 Mar 1832.

  98. An act for the relief of DENNIS M'CARTY, of Fayette county, a soldier of
  the revolutionary war,
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized and required to pay to Dennis
  McCarty of Fayette County, a soldier of the revolution, forty dollars,
  immediately and an annuity of forty dollars, payable half yearly, to commence
  on 1 Jan 1832.   27 Mar 1832.

  101. An act to authorize the chief burgess and second burgess of the borough
  of Sunbury, in the county of Northumberland, to execute a deed to CHARLES G.
  DONNELL for certain real estate in said borough, in compliance with an
  ordinance of said corporation.

  JACOB PREISINGER, by his last will and testament, dated 24 Sep 1804, devised
  a certain two story brick house and lot of ground, situated in the borough of
  Sunbury, Northumberland Co. #7 in the plan of said Borough, bounded by
  Market  or Shamokin St. on the south, and by a lot of EDWARD GOBIN on the
  east, containing in breadth 60 ft. and in depth, 170 feet to his wife
  CATHARINE PREISINGER for life, and the remainder to and for the use of the
  poor of the borough of Sunbury.
  As Catharine is still living, and the property from natural decay and
  dilapidation will soon become of little value, the borough deem it to their
  interest to make sale of said premises. In pursuance of an order the chief
  burgess and second burgess made a contract with CHARLES G. DONNEL to sell and
  convey to him the said premises for the consideration of $1000.00. The
  principal, interest and profits shall be applied to and for the use of such
  person, and on the same terms as in said real estate is directed to be
  applied by the aforesaid will of Jacob deceased.   29 Mar 1832.

  104. An act relative to real estate, and vesting the rights of this
  Commonwealth by reason of escheat to the personal property of JAMES FORSTER,
  in ELIZABETH SOMERS,
  By proceedings had in the Supreme court for the western district of Pa. that
  a certain MATTHEW S. MASON has been adjudged a lunatic, and that TREVANION B.
  DALLAS was, by the said court, duly appointed a committee to take care of the
  estate of Matthew S. Mason and it appears that the jury by their verdict,
  declared Matthew S. Mason to be non composmentis, prior to the 16 Oct 1831.
  On this day while Matthew was so a lunatic he, and Matthew S. Mason, made a
  parole agreement with HARMAR DENNY, for the purchase of a piece of ground
  situated in the Reserved tract, opposite Pittsburg, being parts of lots #268
  and 269, for which Matthew S. Mason was to pay the sum of $4000.00 and by
  virtue of said agreement, possession of the premises has been taken,
  extensive improvements are in progress, and a considerable portion of the
  purchase money paid, therefore, the agreement is declared to be as good,
  valid and binding between the parties thereto, as though the said Matthew S.
  Mason had been of sound mind at the time of making said agreement. A deed is
  authorized to be made for the property specified.

  That ROBERT IRWIN, EPHRAIM GALBRAITH and PAUL FRAIZIER, trustees of the
  Frankstown school, Huntingdon Co. are hereby authorized to sell and convey a
  lot of ground in the town of Frankstown, it being the same lot of ground
  which L. LOWRY did convey to the trustees for the purpose of erecting a
  school house thereon. The moneys arising from the sale of shall be applied to
  the purchase of ground and the erection of a new school house thereon, and to
  no other purpose.

  That JAMES S. SMITH and HENRY HOLLINGSWORTH, executors and trustees named in
  the last will and testament of ROBERT BLACKWELL, late of the city of
  Philadelphia, dec. are hereby authorized to sell a certain lot situate on the
  south side of Pine St. between Second and Third Sts., from the river Delaware,
  in the city of Philadephia, containing in front on Pine St. 136 feet and in
  length 144 feet, bounded on east and west byl other property, late of said
  Robert Blackwell, and to make and convey a good deed of all estate of Robert
  Blackwell had immediately before his death and the moneys arising from such
  sale be appropriated to the intention and meaning of Robert Blackwell dec. as
  expressed in his last will and testament.

  All the right, title and interest, which this commonwealth may have acquired
  by reason of an escheat from the want of heirs of EDWARD HOOPER, formerly of
  the borough of Uniontown in Fayette Co. dec., the same is hereby granted to
  and vested in SARAH DESELLENS, (formerly SARAH HOOPER, widow of Edward
  Hooper.) and her heirs forever.

  The Executors or administrators of the estates of JOHN A. HANNA and of
  RICHARD DEARMOND, late of the county of Dauphin, dec. are hereby authorized
  to sell and convey all the estate which John A. Hanna and Richard Dearmond,
  severally had at the time of their respective deaths, in and to certain
  in-lots and out-lots in and near the town of Erie Pa. the property of the
  Harrisburg and Presqu'Isle co. viz: In-lots, #2048, 2646, 3292 and out lots
  #418, 519. Said Executors shall pay over the net proceeds after deducting
  reasonable costs and expenses to the several persons entiled to the same.

  The late REV. PATRICK LONERGAN, by his writing dated 15 Sep 1801, did give
  unto the Right REV. DR. JOHN CARROLL, then Bishop of Baltimore, now dec.
  certain lots of ground situate in Waynesburg, Greene Co. for the purpose of
  erecting a Catholic Church and residence for a priest and at the death of
  Bishop Carroll, had not executed said trust, and said lots remain unsold and
  unprofitable, therefore for the purpose of carrying into exection of said
  trust and paying debt already contracted in building a Cahtolic church in
  Wayesborough aforesaid, the Right REV. FRANCIS PATRICK KENRICK, Bishop of
  Philadelphia, is hereby authorized to bargin and sell for the best price all
  or any of the lots formerly the property of Patrick Lonergan, in the town of
  Waynesburg, Greene Co. (excepting the one on which the church is built,) and
  to make good deeds to the purchasers and Francis Patrick Kenrick shall be
  entitled to retain a reasonable sum for expenses and charges.

  It shall be lawful for the present or any future trustee of the marriage
  settlement of the 23 Sep 1823 made by MARY TOWERS, then MARY TUCKER,
  previously to her then intended marriage with JOHN TOWERS, since dec. during
  the life time of Mary Towers, upon the request in writing of herself and her
  three children therein named, from time to time to sell and convey the whole
  or any part or parts of the real estate convey to the trustee in and by said
  settlement, and to grant and to the purchaser and to give receipts which
  shall fully acquit and exonerate all persons paying the same. The said
  purchase monies may be applied during the life time of Mary Towers as she may
  direct in improving the said real estate, or for paying for improvements, or
  invested in trust for the uses and purposes in the said settlement.

  The trustees of the Methodist Episcopal church of the borough of Lewistown,
  Mifflin Co. are hereby authorized by good deed to convey to HENRY STONER, of
  said borough, the old meeting house and the lot on which it is erected, being
  the property of the members of the church, for the price heretofore fixed and
  agreed upon, provided proceeds of such sale shall be applied to such purposes
  as the members of the church or a majority of them shall direct.

  That all the right, title and claim which this commonwealth may have acquired
  by reason of escheat, form the want of heirs, of a certain James Forster, dec.
  in  the estate of James Forster, at the time of his death, is hereby granted
  to Elizabeth Somers, the mother of James Forster, dec. and JOHN HOSACK of
  Washington Co. is hereby authorized to recover any outstanding debts, and to
  pay the same, together with what monies may be in his hands to the said
  Elizabeth Somers.    30 Mar 1832. 

  105. An act authorizing compensation to JOHN RAU, for damages done by a
  certain state road, and for other purposes,
  ON the application of John Fau, of Lowhill Twp., Lehigh Co. if the same shall
  be within one year of the passage of this act, the court of Quarter Sessions
  of Lehigh Co. are hereby authorized to appoint 6 disinterested men to view
  and adjudge the amount of damages (if any) sustained by John Rau in
  consequence of a state road leading from Kutztown, Berks Co. to Mauch Chuck,
  Northampton Co. passing through the county of Lehigh, through the land of
  John Rau, situate in Lowbill Twp. Lehigh Co.. and if any four of them shall
  agree to the amount of damages sustained, the commissioners of said county
  shall draw a warrant on the treasurer in favor of John Rau for the amount
  awarded to him.

  On the written application of PHILIP BAUSCHER and SUSANNA KEMP, of Albany
  Twp. Berks Co. if made one year after passage of this act, the judges of the
  court of Quarter Session of Berks Co. are hereby authorized to appoint 6
  disinterested men to view and adjudge the amount of damages (if any)
  sustained by Philip Bauscher and Susanna Kemp, in consequence of a state
  road, leading form Union iron works in Berks County to Fogelsville in Lehigh
  Co. passing through the county of Berks, through the land of Philip Bauscher
  and Susanna Kemp, situate in Albany Twp. Berks Co. If any four shall agree to
  the amount of damages sustained, the commissioners shall draw their warrant on
  the treasuer of Berks Co. in favor of Philip Bauscher and Susanna Kepm for the
  amount so awarded to each of them.
  Such viewers shall take into consideration the advantages derived by Philip
  Bauscher and Susanna Kemp from said road passing through their land in Berks
  County.

  That JOHN BIERER of Westmoreland Co. may present his petition to the court of
  Quarter Sessions for the review of an act laying out a graded road from
  Robbstown, by way of GENERAL MARKLE'S mill, Greensburg, and to intersect the
  northern turnpike road at New Alexandria, in Westmoreland Co. as passes
  through the land of John Bierer, and the court to take such order on said
  petition and if he petition had been presented at the time required.  30 Mar 1832.

  boroughs.
  That the town of Lewisberry, York county, is erected into a borough, bounded:
  beginning between lands of JOHN CLINE and SAMUEL GROVE, east to the corner of
  the village, thence through lands of ELIJAH GARRETSON and HUGH FOSTER, dec.,
  northwest to line between the townships of Newberry and Fairview, to Bennet's
  run, to beginning.  That the voters shall meet at the house of HERVEY HAMMOND,
  innkeeper, to cast votes.

  That the town of Martinsburg, Bedford county, is hereby erected into a
  borough, bounded: beginning at the house of FREDERICK NICHODEMUS, north to
  the line between Huntingdon and Bedford counties, to lands of ABRAHAM STONER
  and the heirs of JACOB SNOWBERGER dec., to the place of beginning.  The
  voters shall meet at the house now occupied by ADAM SNYDER, every year, for
  elections.  That HENRY BREIDENTHALL and JOHN BINGHAM shall publish and
  superintend the first election.

  That the town of Claysville, Washington county, is hereby erected into a
  borough, bounded: Beginning at corner of _____ PORTER's and ____ DOUGHERTY's
  heirs, thence by lands of CHARLES WILSON, by lands of JAMES WORREL, thence by

  114. An act to annul the marriage contract of HENRY STILLE and MARY ANN
  STILLE his wife,
  That the marriage contract entered into between Henry Stille and Mary Ann his
  wife, of the city of Philadelphia is hereby annulled and made void and the
  parties released from all duties and obligations arising from as fully, and
  absolutely as if they had never been joined in the bonds of matrimony.  3 Apr 1832.

  118. An act authorizing the trustees of the Methodist Episcopal church in the
  borough of Williamburg, Huntingdon county, to sell and convey certain real
  estate.
  Whereas, JACOB AKE, by deed, dated 17 Aug 1812, granted to the trustees of
  the church a lot of ground for the purpose of building a house of worship,
  but the congregation has increased to such a degree that the building will no
  longer accommodate them, but will accommodate the Baptist congregation who
  have purchased the same.  Therefore, the trustees are authorized to convey by
  deed, to the Baptist church said church with the assent of Jacob Ake.  5 Apr 1832.

  119. An act to incorporate a company for making a turnpike road from the
  Somerset and Bedford turnpike road to the Maryland line, in the direction of
  Cumberland, and a company to make a turnpike road from the Philadelphia and
  Great Bend turnpike, near the house of JEREMIAH CLARK, to the river
  Susquehanna, in Exeter twp.
  That CHARLES OGLE, GEORGE CHORPENNING, FREDERICK GEBHART, GEORGE WELLER,
  JACOB G. MILLER, JOHN BREUBAKER, JACOB KIMMEL, JAMES PLATT and HENRY FULLER,
  are appinted commissioners of the Sumerset and Cumberland turnpike.

  That GEORGE M. HOLLENBACK, JOHN L. BUTLER, SAMUEL SUTTON, JOHN HARDING, ISAAC
  HARDING, JEREMIAH CLARK, WILLIAM CLARK, and ASAPH TWITCHEL of Luzerne  county,
  are appointed commissioners of the Abington and Exeter turnpike road.  5 Apr 1832.

  120. An act for the relief of BARGY & HENRY, contractors on the Juniata
  division of the Pennsylvania canal,
  The Canal commissioners are hereby authorized to examine the claim of Bargy &
  Henry for damages which they allege have been sustained by pulling down and
  building up again lock number 28 on the Juniata Division of the Pa. Canal.
  They shall assess such damages (if any) and paid by the commissioners out of
  the money appropriated for canal and railroad purposes. The amount shall not
  exceed $600.00.  5 Apr 1832.

  121. An act for the relief of DAVID LEECH,
  The Canal Commissioner are hereby authorized to allow David Leech of
  Armstrong Co., such damage, if any, sustained by the injury done to his mill,
  in consequence of the erection of the new dam at Leechburg, on the Western
  Division of the Pa. Canal. Nothing shall be construed to entitle David Leech
  to damages for the loss of water power by the destruction of the old dam, the
  same shall be considered as if no such water power had existed.  5 Apr 1832.

  122. An act for the relief of HENRY HARMONIE and DAVID WOLF, late supervisors
  of Fannett Twp. Franklin Co.,
  The Auditors of Fannett Twp. Franklin Co. are hereby authorized to re-examine
  the accounts of Henry Harmonie and David Wolf, and if it appears there is a
  balance in their favor, they are required to collect and pay the same to
  Henry Harmonie and David Wolf.  5 Apr 1832.

  123. An act to annul the marriage contracts of JOHN WELDING and ANN WELDING
  his wife, and LEWIS RINEHART and SARAH RINEHART his wife,
  That the marriage contract entered into between John Welding and Ann his
  wife, of the county of Northampton, is hereby annulled and made void and the
  parties released and discharged from the contract and from all duties and
  obligations as fully as if they had never been joined in marriage.

  The marriage contract entered into between Lewis Rinehear and Sarah his wife,
  of the county of Luzerne, is hereby annulled and made void, and the parties
  released and discharged from the contract and from all duties and obligations
  as fully as if they had never been joined in Marriage.   5 Apr 1832.

  124. An act vesting the title of the commonwealth of Pa. to a certain tract
  of land in the Reformed and Lutheran Congregation of the twp. of Lehigh,
  Northampton county.
  Whereas, in pursuance of an application dated 11 Nov 1767, #2949, there were
  surveyed to GEORGE WANNEMAKER and JOHN DORN, trustees of the Reformed and
  Lutheran Congregation in trust for the congregation, a track of land
  containing 7 acres has never been patented, therefore, all the right, and
  claim of the commonwealth to a tract of land, adjoining lands surveyed to
  DANIEL BROWN, the Indian tract, and others, surveyed to the congregation, is
  hereby vested in CONRAD NEWHART and GEORGE WENTZ, trustees, for the sole use
  of the congregation forever, and the Secretary of the Land Office is
  authorized to issue a patent to the trustees, without fee or reward.  Should
  the congregation cease to occupy the land or sell it then all the rights
  hereby granted shall revert and vest in the commonwealth of Pa..  5 Apr 1832.

  125. An act authorizing JOHN LEY, CHRISTIAN LEY and PETER BATDORF,
  administrators of CHRISTIAN LEY SR., late of Myerstown, in Lebanon Co.,
  deceased, and DANIEL ESTERLY, administrator of DANIEL DRENKLE, deceased, to
  sell and convey certain real estate,
  That John Ley, Christian Ley and Peter Batdorf, administrators of the estate
  of Christian Ley, late of Meyerstown, Lebanon Co. dec. are hereby authorized
  to sell, for the purposes of paying the debts of Christian Ley all the lands
  he had at time of death in the counties of Schuylkill, Dauphin, and
  Clearfield and to make good deeds to the purchaser thereof.

  That Daniel Esterly, administrator of the estate of Daniel Drenkle, dec. is
  authorized to sell and convey all title he held at time of death in messuage
  or messuages, tenement or tenements and lands in this commonwealth, owned in
  his own right and to make good and sufficient deeds of conveyance to the
  purchaser, with the approval of the orphans court of Berks Co.   5 Apr 1832.

  128. A supplement to an act to provide fro the erection of a house for the
  employment and support of the poor in the county of Schuylkill, passed 4 Apr 1831.
  That the purchase made by JOHN C. OFFERMAN, JOHN DARR, JOHN HUGHES and
  WILLIAM GRIEFF, for a site on which the poor house shall be erected shall be

  130. An act to incorporate the Adams county railroad company.

  Lykens valley railroad, in Lykens valley, SIMON SALLADE, JOSIAH BOWMAN,

  HALDEMAN of Harrisburg, and WILLIAM CLARK of Middle Paxton twp. all of the

  133. An act incorporating the Northhampton Horse Ins. company for the
  insurance of the lives of horses and the apprehension and detection of the
  horse thieves.

  GRATWOHL, PHILIP CORYELL, PHILIP FRANKENFIELD, CHRISTIAN KNICHT, GEORGE

  134. An act to incorporate a company to erect a toll bridge over the river
  Juniata, at the town of Hollidaysburg, and to incorporatae the Ligett's Gap
  railroad company.

  Hollidaysburg.

  144. An act authorizing WILLIAM WILSON, administrator of the estate of SAMUEL
  WILSON, late of Westmoreland Co. to execute a deed of conveyance for certain
  real estate, and to authorize JOHNSTON WHARTON to execute a deed of
  conveyance for certain real estate in Bucks County,
  By an order of court of Common Pleas of Westmoreland Co. JAMES LONG and
  NATHANIEL DOTY, trustees of Samuel Wilson, a lunatic, were authorized to sell
  the real estate of Samuel Wilson, being a tract of land situate in Derry Twp.
  Westmoreland Co. containing 190 acres. The said trustees sold the real estate
  to JOSEPH COOK for the sum of $1400.00 but before and deed was executed Samuel
  Wilson died, whereby the said trust ceased to exist, and letter of
  administration were granted to William Wilson.
  William Wilson of Mercer Co. is hereby authorized to convey by deed to Joseph
  Cook, of New Alexandria, Derry Twp. Westmoreland Co. title to a certain tract
  of land  situate in Derry Twp. Westmoreland Co. containing 190 acres. Before
  the delivery of said deed it shall be the duty of Joseph Cook to secure
  payment of any arrearages of purchase money that may be due to the heirs of
  Samuel Wilson dec.

  That Johnson Wharton, administrator of the estate of ELIZABETH OPDYKE, late
  of Bucks Co. dec. is hereby authorized to execute a deed of conveyance to the
  purchaser for all title that Elizabeth Opdyke, dec. held in a certain lot of
  ground of 2 acres in the township of Lower Makefield, Bucks Co. which was the
  property of RICHARD MITCHELL, dec. upon receiving the balance of the purchase
  money, due the estate of Elizabeth Opdyke, dec. if any remains unpaid from

  146. An act authorizing the guardians of the minor children of JOHN WILLS,
  late of Allegheny county, deceased, to join in the sale and conveyance of
  certain lands in Allegheny and Butler Counties, which were held by the said
  John Wills, in his life time, and ALEXANDER WILLS of Cumberland County, as
  tenants in common.

  GIDEON LONG, soldiers of the revolutionary war, 
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to John Jacobs, of York
  County, a soldier of the revolution, forty dollars immediately, and an
  annuity of forty dollars, payable half yearly, to commence on the 1 Jan 1832.

  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Archibald Shaw of
  Baltimore County, state of Maryland, a soldier of the revolution, forty
  dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars payable half yearly, to
  commence on the 1 Jan 1832.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to John Myers, of Perry Co.
  forty dollars, as a gratuity for his revolutionary services.

  158. An act authorizing the sale of a lot of ground situated in the borough
  of Easton, in the county of Northampton, the estate of REBECCA M'KEEN, a
  lunatic, and for other purposes,
  That it may be lawful to and for ARTHUR H. ERWIN and FRANCES MARIA ERWIN his
  wife, to expose to sale a certain lot of land situated on the north side of
  Northampton street between Fermor St. and the public square in the borough of
  Easton, bounded south by Northampton St. west by a lot now or late of GEORGE
  A. HICE, north by a twenty foot wide public alley, and east by a lot of the
  representatives of GEORGE BEIDELMAN, dec. the estate of Rebecca M'Keen of
  Erwin, Steuben Co., New York, widow, the mother of Frances Maria Erwin, and
  upon sale to convey the fee in the premises to the purchaser and to invest
  the proceeds in some productive stock or loan on good securities, bearing
  interest and Arthur H. Erwin shall apply the income and profits to the
  support and maintance of Rebecca M'Keen, who is non compos mentis, and if the
  income and profits thereof shall be insufficient it shall be lawful for him to
  apply as much of the principal as shall be necessary for the purposes aforesaid.

  Whereas, a tract of land situate in Upper Darby Twp. Delaware Co., Pa.
  bounded by lands of THOMAS LEWIS and others, containing 5 acres, descended
  from her father to JANE THOMPSON, the wife of JAMES THOMPSON an habitual
  drunkard, in fee simple, which James became tenant by curtesy initate of said
  land; and Jane Thompson being desirous that GEORGE M'FARLAND, surviving
  guardian and trustee of the said James Thompson, shall have power to sell and
  convey the real estate for the purpose of paying the debts and supporting the
  family of said habitual drunkard. Therefore it shall be lawful  for George
  M'Farland, together with Jane Thompson the wife of said habitual drunkard, to
  make a affirmation to the court of Chester Co. of the amounts of debts due by
  James Thompson as far as he has knowledge of, the amount of money expended by
  George M'Farland for the payment of debts and the support of his family and if
  necssary sell premises aforesaid as if James Thompson and his wife Jane had
  done so, and convey deed for same.  1 May 1832. 

  159. An act for the relief of WILLIAM M'CRUM, JACOB PARKER and  JACOB BICKEL,
  soldiers of the revolutionary war,
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to William M'Crum of
  Bucks Co., Jacob Parker of Chester Co., and Jacob Bickel of Union Co., forty
  dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars to each of them, payable
  half yearly, to commence on 1 Jan 1832.  3 May 1832.

  160. An act authorizing ARCHIBALD BARD to convey certain real estates and
  execute certain trusts,
  Whereas DAVID RANKIN  and FRANCES RANKIN his wife, by deed dated 20 Dec 1826
  conveyed to Archibald Bard of Franklin Co. a certain tract of land in said
  county, the estate of said Frances in trust, to sell the same and after the
  payment of certain debts mentioned in the deed, to apply the balance to the
  purchase of real property, for the separate use of Frances and her heirs. And
  whereas Archibald did  sell said tract of land and did purchase from the
  Philadelphia Bank, a tract of land in Westmoreland Co. at the sum of $3000.00
  and paid the sum of $1980.00 of the purchase money, being the whole balance of
  the money raised by the sale of the first tract, and the bank is now pressing
  for the residue, which cannot be paid without selling the land purchased,
  said David Rankin and his wife are willing and desirous that said land may be
  sold and the debt paid and the residue applied according to the trust of the
  first deed.  Therefore Archibald Bard is authorized to sell and convey to the
  purchaser the said tract of land in Westmoreland Co. and to apply the money
  raised by such sale to the payment of the balance due to the Philadelphia
  bank, and the residue to the uses and purposes mentioned in the deed of David
  Rankin and Frances his wife, dated 26 Dec 1826 provided the assent of David
  and Frances shall be given to such sale in writing.  3 May 1832.

  162. An act to authorize the Orphans' Court of Lebanon county to direct JOHN
  FORNEY to execute a deed of conveyance to MICHAEL GINGRICH,
  The Orphan's Court of Lebanon Co. is authorized on the application of Michael
  Gingrich, one of the executors of the last will and testament of JOHN
  GINGRICH, dec. who was the administer of MARY GINGRICH, dec. for sale of a
  certain house and lot of ground, late the property of Mary Gingrich, dec.
  situate in Millerstown, Anville Twp. Lebanon Co. to order and direct a deed
  to be executed by John Forney, one of the executors of John Gingrich dec. to
  Michael Gingrich upon evidence that Michael Gingrich was the purchaser of the
  property and that the consideration was fully paid and satisfied.   3 May 1832.

  163. An act to incorporate a company to build a toll bridge over the river
  Schuylkill between the Black and White Horse taverns, in Amity township,
  Berks county.
  That GEORGE DOUGLAS, FREDERICK LINDERMAN, CLEMENT BROOK, JOHN P. RUTTER,
  JACOB S. SPANG and JOHN BERTOLET, of the county of Berks, are hereby
  appointed commissioners.  3 May 1832.

  166. An act regulating election districts.
  That the elections in Lower Chanceford twp., York county, shall be held at
  the house now occupied by JOSEPH M'SHERRY.

  That the elections of Carroll Twp., York county, shall be held at the house
  now occupied by PETER LOUCKS, in Dillsburg.

  That the electors of Manheim twp., York county, shall hold their elections at
  the house now occupied by JOHN HOFFACKER.

  That the electors of Salem twp., Luzerne county, shall hold their elections
  at the house now occupied by JAMES CAMPBELL.

  beginning on the line of the twp. nearest the house of MATTHEW DAVIDSON, on
  the turnpike road leading from Carlisle to Shippensburg, thence to ______
  DAVIS' blacksmith shop, on the Walnut Bottom road, by the public road to the
  saw mill late the property of ADAM HOUCK, dec., to the line of said township
  on the southeast side of the tract of land late of JOHN DIXON, to the place
  of beginning, shall be a separate election district.

  That the electors of the borough of Mechanicsburg, in Cumberland county,
  shall hold their elections at the house of JOHN HOOVER.

  That the electors of Allen twp. Cumberland county, shll hold their elections
  at the house of JACOB GEHR.

  That the electors of the township of Clinton, Lycoming county, shall hold
  their elections at the house of CHRISTIAN GOSHE.

  That the townshop of Bristol, Bucks county, is erected into a separate
  election district, and the electors shall hold their elections at the house
  now occupied by BENJAMIN NELSON.

  That the township of Coolbaugh, Pike county, and that part of Palmyra
  beginning at a corner near the Belmont and Easton turnpike road, on the line
  of land surveyed to JOHN BROTOMAN, also on a line between Pike and Wayne,
  along Wallenpaupack creek, to the bridge near 	WILLIAM ERGOOD's mill, between
  the land of JAMES SIMONS and THOMAS BARTLESON, thence about four miles to the
  line of the barrens, to the line of Price twp., six miles to beginning, shall
  become a separate election district, and the electors shall hold their
  elections at the house now occupied by DANIEL E. LABAR.

  That part of Bethlehem twp., Northampton county, beginning at the river
  Lehigh, near _____ JENKS' mill, along a rod leading to JOHN ZEIGENFUS'
  tavern, thence from the main road from Easton to Bethlehem, along a road by
  the Pond to _____ DORNBLASER's farm, to the township line, shall be erected
  into a separate election district and the electors shall hold their elections
  at the house now in the occupancy of GEORGE KIDD.

  That the township of Chatham, Tioga county, is erected into a separate
  election district, and the electors shall hold their elections at the house
  now occupied by ALLEN FRASIER.

  That the township of Morris, Tioga county, is erected into a separate
  election district, and the electors shall hold their elections at the house
  now occupied by WILLIAM BABB.

  That the electors of Deerfield township, Tioga county, shall hold their
  elections at the house now occupied by JAMES CRANDALL.

  That part of Wysex Twp., Bradford county, which was annexed by the court of
  Quarter Sessions at the December term, 1831 to Sheshequin twp., is hereby
  annexed to the Sheshequin election district and the electors shall hold their
  elections at the house now occupied by DANIEL BRINK.

  That the electors of Conemaugh twp., Somerset county, shall hold their
  elections at the house now occupied by PETER LEVY.

  That parts of the townships of Washington and Guilford, Franklin county,
  beginning on the Adams county line, along the road to the Cross Raods at
  Duffield's to the intersection by the road from ____ BROWN's to Quincy, north
  of DOCTOR FORNEY's house, to beginning.

  That the electors of Southampton, Franklin county, shall hold their elections
  at the house now occupied by JAMES JOHNSTON.

  That the electors of Barnetz twp., Jefferson county, shall hold their
  elections at the house now occupied by JOHN WYNKOOP.

  That the electors of Conneautee twp., Erie county, shall hold their elections
  at the house now occupied by ABEL WHITNEY.

  BRUMBOUGH, through Forshey's Gap, to Union twp., to a point opposite to DAVID
  CORBIN's, to the corneer of Porter twp., to the beginning, shall be a separate
  election district, and the elections shall be held at the house of JOHN NAIL,
  in the village of M'Connelsburg.

  That the electors of Young twp., Indiana county, shall hold their elections
  at the house now occupied by THOMAS M. ANDERSON.

  That the electors of Fairfield twp., Crawford county, shall hold their
  elections at the house now occupied by EDWARD HERRINGTON.

  That the electors of Limestone twp., lying between the Lancaster land
  company, lots #45 and 64, and the Allegheny river opposite Brokenstraw twp.,
  shall be part of the Brokenstraw district, and the remaining part of the
  township of Limestone and Tionista twp. and part of Kenjua twp., lying on the
  southeast of Warren county, to lots #153 and 72 and west to Limestone twp.
  shall be an election district and the electors shall hold their elections at
  the house of TIMOTHY BARNS.

  That the electors of Brown twp., Lycoming county, shall hold their elections
  at the house now occupied by SAMUEL TOMB JR.

  That the electors of Fairfield twp., Lycoming county, shall hold their
  elections at the house now occupied by SOLOMON BRUNER.

  That the electors of Liberty twp., McKean county, shall hold their elections
  at the house now occupied by HORACE COLMAN.

  That the borough of New Cumberland, Allen twp., Cumberland county, beginning
  at the river Susquehanna, to the end of Miller's lane, thence to Yellow
  Breeches creek near JOSEPH BEST's farm, to its mounty, at the river
  Susquehanna, shall be a separate election district and the electors shall
  hold their elections a the the house now occupied by WEBSTER LEWIS.

  That the electors of Harbour Creek Twp., Erie county, shall hold their
  elections at the school house on Buffalo road, near the house of WALTER
  GREENWOOD.

  That the electors of Venango Twp., Crawford county, shall hold their
  elections at the house now occupied by JOHN M'FADDEN, in the village of
  Cambridge.

  That the electors in Salt Lick twp., Fayette county, shall hold their
  elections at the house now occupied by JAMES ROGERS.

  That the part of Catawissa twp., Columbia county, which was set off into a
  separate township, called Roaring Creek, shall be a separate election
  district and the electors shall hold their elections at the house of JOHN
  YEAGER.

  That the electors in Washington twp., York county, shall hold their elections
  at the house of JAMES MARSHALL, now occupied by DAVID SHULTZ.

  That the electors of part of Manheim twp., Schuylkill county, lying southeast
  of the line commencing at the township line of Wayne and Manheim on Summer
  Hill, thence to the house of WIDOW SCHWEICKER and the house of JOHN DEWALD,
  to the house of PHILIP DRUMHELLER, thence to the house of JOHN DEIBERT, at
  the centre turnpike, to the house of JOHN BATZ, thence to the house of PHILIP
  KOCH, then to the town ship line of Manheim and Schuylkill twps., shall hold
  their elections at the court house in the borough of Orwigsburg.

  That the electors of Rush twp., Schuylkill county, shall hold their elections
  at the house of JOHN BRAUS.

  That the elections in Doylestown twp., Bucks county, shall be held at the
  house now occupied by ELNATHAN PETTIT, in the village of Doylestown.

  That the electors of Canton twp., Bradford county, shall hold their elections
  at the house of JONATHAN R. PRATT, at the four corners.

  That the electors of Hickory twp., Mercer county, shall hold their elections
  at the house of THOMAS J. PORTER, in the town of Sharon.  3 May 1832.

  169. An act repealing certain acts concerning state roads.
  An act passed 5 Apr 1806, authorizing the laying out of certain state roads
  from a point near the house of ALEXANDER INNIS, in Huntingdon county, to
  Landisburg, Perry county, is hereby repealed, as far as respects Mifflin
  county, as relates to Juniata county, from the Mifflin county line to the
  Tuscarora creek.  3 May 1832

  170. An act authorizing the inhabitants of Passyunk twp. to erect directors
  for the Girard School of Passyunk, to be erected and established, and for
  other purposes.
  Whereas, STEPHEN GIRARD, of the city of Philadelphia, in his last will and
  testament, did give and bequeath a sum of money for the erection of a school
  house in Passyunk twp., "I give and bequeath unto PHILIP PELTZ, JOHN LENTZ,
  FRANCIS HESLEY, JACOB BAKER and ADAM YOUNG of Passyunk twp., Philadelphia
  county, the sum of $6000.00 in trust, that they shall purchase a suitable
  piece of ground and erect a substantial brick building sufficiently large for
  a school house and the residence of a school master, one part for poor male
  white children, and the other part for poor female white children of the
  township."

  Whereas, GEORGE SPRING and GEORGE DANGLER laid out a plantation adjoining the
  town of New Berlin, Union county, into a town called Springfield, and sold
  lots by lottery, and only a few houses were erected, that most of the lots
  are now owned bya few individuals who find it convenient to fence the same in
  fields larger then one square, and that many of the streets, lanes, and
  alleys, are useless.  Therefore, the court of general Quarter sessions of
  Union county, shall have authority to vacate and useless streets, etc.  3 May 1832.

  171. An act relative to certain roads and declaring certain creeks highways,
  and for other purposes.
  That all monies which may within six years from this act, be received by the
  treasurer of Luzerne county, on account of road taxes, assessed on certain
  unseated lands, lately belonging to the estates of MATTHIAS HOLLENBACK and
  EDWARD TILGHMAN situate within the townships of Lehman, Monroe, Dallas,
  Union, Northmoreland and Eaton, shall be held in a separate account.

  That SAMUEL HILL and JOSEPH BARR of Washington county, and HARVEY H. PETERSON
  of Allegheny county, are hereby appointed commissioners to lay out a state
  road, beginning near the house of ROBERT LOVE, on the Williamsport and
  Washington turnpike, in Washington county, thence to JAMES CONNER's on the
  road leading to Pittsburg, in Alleghey county.

  That MICHAEL REED, JOHN BENNETT, JOHN WOLF and PETER SCHELL of Bedford
  county, and ALEXANDER KNOX of the town of Newry in Huntingdon county are
  hereby appointed commissioners to lay out a road beginning at Bedford, to
  Hollidaysburg, in Huntingdon county.

  That BENJAMIN ADAMS and JAMES JOHNSTON of Beaver county, and JOHN STEVENSON,
  of Allegheny county, are hereby appointed commissioners to lay out a state
  road, beginning at Phillipsburg in Beaver county, thence by the White Oaks
  Flats to intersect with Hookstown state road, near the Big Lick, in Robinson
  twp., Allegheny county.

  That DAVID KILLINGER, GEORGE F. GOODMAN and JOSEPH MOORE M.D., are hereby
  appointed commissioners to continue the survey of streets, roads, and lanes
  in the districts of Spring Garden, Northern Liberties and Kensington.

  That MORDECAI DAVIS, RANDAL EVANS, JOSIAH HESTON, THOMAS JONES ESQ., JOSEPH
  ROBERTS and JONATHAN JONES,  are appointed commissioners to review that part
  of the state road laid out from New Hope to the Mary state line in a
  direction to Baltimore, commencing where it strikes the land of ENOCK MALIN
  and ABNER GRIFFITH, in Willistown Twp, Chester county, above WILLIAM KELLY's
  land, through East Goshen twp., and JOSEPH ELDRIDGE's land, west of Hoopes
  and Garretts corner, striking the land of JOSEPH HOOPES, dec., through lands
  of GEORGE GARRET and JOSEPH HOFFMAN, to existing road of township of East
  Goshen.  The commissioners shall meet at the house of JONATHAN W. HOFFMAN.

  That EDWARD M'HENRY and THOMAS MOOREHEAD, of Columbia county, and ROBERT
  CURRY of Northumberland county, are appointed commissioners to lay out a
  state road, commencing near the house of JOHN STUCKER, Columbia county,
  through Rhorsburg, Jerseytown and Washingtonville, to the borough of Milton,
  Northumberland county.

  That the first fork of Pine Creek, Lycoming county, from the mouth up to the
  Block House fork and Broadhead's creek, for ELEAZER PRICE's mill dam, in Pike
  county, also, the west branch to NICHOLAS BUSH's to Bradhead's Creek etc. are
  hereby declared public highways.

  That the west branch of the river Susquehanna from JOHN DOUGLASS' saw mill,
  Cambria county, is declared a public highway.  3 May 1832.

  BREWSTER, BERNARD FITZSIMMONS, PETER K. EMERICK, WILLIAM HARVEY, WILLIAM
  KING, JOSEPH B. MITCHELL, and DAVID GINTHER are appointed commissioners of
  the Fire Insurance Company of Philadelphia.  3 May 1832.

  174. An act relative to certain real estates,
  Whereas, JOHN COOK, late of the city of Philadelphia, dec. and ISRAEL MAULE,
  late of Penn Twp. Philadelphia Co. were in their lifetime in fee as tenants
  in common of equal moities of a certain lot of ground situated on the south
  side of Callowhill St., and east side of John St. in the district of Spring
  Garden, Philadelphia Co., beginning at the southeast corner of Callowhill St.
  and John St. extending eastward along the Callowhill st. 153 feet seven inches
  to ground of PATRICK SCULLY, southward by Patrick Scully's ground 82 feet,
  four inches to a four foot wide alley leading into Sixth St., westward in a
  line parallel with and at a distance of 82 feet, four inches, from the south
  side of Callowhill St. 68 feet, then southward along a three feet wide alley
  39 feet four inches to DANIEL SMITH's ground, etc, being ground granted by
  JAMES WHITEHEAD and JAMES GOWEN by deed recorded at Phila. in deed book M.R.
  #21, pg. 353, and as JOHN COOKE, in his last will and testament, duly proved
  in the county of Phila. devised his undivided moiety of the said lot of
  ground in certain portions specified to his four children, JOHN COOKE,
  CHARLES COOKE, MARY E. COOKE wife of MORRIS LONGSTRETH, and LYDIA COOKE.  The
  said Israel Maule in his will and testament duly proved devised all the
  residue of his estate (including his undivided moniety in the said lot of
  ground) to his wife ANN MAULE for life, is she should remain unmarried, with
  remainder to such children as should be living at the termination of the life
  estate, and the issue of such should be then dead, and the same does appear
  the lot shall be set out in severally to all parties involved and upon their heirs.

  That WILLIAM ECKERT, guardian of the person and estate of MARIA LOUISA PRETZ,
  a minor daughter of GODFREY PRETZ, late of the borough of Northampton, Lehigh
  Co. dec. is hereby authorized to convey to CHRISTIAN BLOSS all right, title
  and interest of the said minor in a certain tract of land situate in
  Heidelberg Twp. Lehigh Co. adjoining lands of STEPHEN BALLIET and late SAMUEL
  HELFRICH, SIMON SCHNEIDER and others, containing 64 acres and 135 perches in
  fee simple by deed and with the same effect as if Maria Louiza Pretz were of
  full age and had conveyed the same.

  That RICHARD WILLING guardian of his minor children, HENRY WILLING, ELLEN
  WILLING, CAROLINE WILLING, ELIZABETH WILLING and EDWARD SHIPPEN WILLING,
  shall have power and authority during their minority from time to time to
  sell and to convey to the purchasers the whole or part of the real estate of
  the said minors in the counties of Crawford and Mercer and to make and
  execute all deeds for completing such sales as if the said minors themselves
  at full age might make or execute.

  It is enacted that upon the payment of the usual fees, without requiring the
  ordinary proof of settlement and improvement, the Secretary of the Land
  office is hereby authorized to issue patents to SARAH W. CATNACH, for any or
  all five tracts of land in Cunningham's district, Butler county, warranted in
  the names of GEORGE SAWMAN, FREDERICK HUBLEY, HUGH OGDEN, THOMAS DENTON and
  WILLIAM WISTAR the right in which warrants by sundry good conveyances has
  been visited in the Sarah W. Catnach, provided that nothing in this act shall
  effect the rights of third persons.

  Whereas SAMUEL HOOD, being the owner of a plantation in the county of
  Delaware did on the 21 Dec 1732 make his last will and testament and therein
  devise the same to his daughter MARY CLARK, to her heirs forever, or on
  default of such heirs to descend to her two sisters MARTHA HOOD and ELIZABETH
  HOOD or their heirs, which said Martha and Elizabeth are deceased, intestate,
  and without issue and the lineal descendants of Mary Clark have continued to
  enjoy and possess the same and whereas certain proceedings in partition were
  instituted in the court of Delaware Co., wherein all the lineal descendants
  of Mary Clark were parties; to wit: MARY LEVIS, her grand-daughter and
  CLEMENT LEVIS her husband, PHOEBE WILLIAMS her grand-daughter and AMBROSE
  WILLIAMS her husband, and JACOB HABBERSETT, the guardian of ELIZA DONE  and
  LYDIA ANN DONE, minors and the sole children of ______ DONE, the other
  only-grand-daughter dec. and the plantation not being capable of division was
  ordered by the court to be sold and the same was sold by the sheriff for the
  sum of $5595.45 to REESE W. FLOWER which said purchase money has been paid to
  the heirs and the sale has been confirmed by the courts.  It has been
  ascertained that the estate which was vested in the said parties was not an
  estate in fee simple but an estate in fee tail.  The parties as far as in
  them lie have since on 1 Mar 1832 executed  a deed for the said purchaser it
  is enacted that said deed shall be legal and equitable to the purchaser and
  to bar the estate tail of Mary, Phoebe, Eliza and Lydia Ann to all intents
  and purposes.

  That ELEAZER CAREY, of the county of Luzerne, is authorized to sell and
  convey all or part of the real estate to which his minor children are
  entitled or may during their minority, become entitled by the decease of
  their material relatives, and invest the proceeds in some profitable fund for
  the sole use, benefit and advantage of the said minors; he is authorized to
  execute a deed of conveyance  and the sale shall not be valid until the
  proceeds shall be invested in some productive fund as aforesaid.

  Whereas FREDERICK SCHLIER of Windsor Twp., Berks Co., on the first day of
  March 1825 made his last will and testament which since the death of the
  testator has been duly proved and entered in the Berks county court house, by
  which he devised a certain tract of land in Windsor Twp. to his children,
  giving a life estate in part to his wife.  Whereas the widow of Frederick
  Schlier is since dead, and it is represented that the estate is in a state of
  waste and unproductive and that there are certain grand children in a state of
  minority, by reason of which the property cannot be sold. Therefore the
  guardians now appointed of the minor children of JONAS TYSON, by ELIZABETH
  SCHLIER his wife, dec. are hereby authorized to sell all the right, title and
  interest of the minors in the tract of land in Windsor Twp. Berks Co. and to
  execute a deed of conveyance for the same to the purchaser, which deed shall
  be as valid and effectual in law as if the minors were of full age.

  The administrators of the estate of WILLIAM WHITE, late of Baldeagle Twp.
  Centre Co. dec. are hereby authorized to sell and by deed shall convey to the
  purchaser the one fourteenth part, or childs half share of a tract of land,
  containing 100 acres situated in Pine Creek Twp. Lycoming Co. late the estate
  of WILLIAM JACKSON dec.

  The trustees named in the last will and testament of PHILIP SCHRAWDER, late
  of Smithfield Twp. Northampton Co. and the survivors of them are hereby
  authorized to make sale on the best terms they can obtain such parts of the
  real estate of deceased as lie in the counties of Wayne and Luzerne, and also
  such as lie elsewhere, and are unimproved or unproductive and to convey the
  same to the purchaser thereof; then to invest the nett proceeds of sale in
  some productive stock or loan and the profits or interest thereof shall be
  held, applied in the manner directed by the testor in relation to the said
  lands.

  Whereas the German Lutheran and the German Presbyterian congregations of
  Guilford Twp., Franklin Co. have for a long time held and occupied together
  the church called Solomon's Church, with the graveyard and land containing
  about 17 acres the title to which was vested in the trustees of the said
  Presbyterian  congregation and whereas the congregations being about to erect
  at their joint expense a new building for public worship, have agreed that the
  title os said premises shall be vested in both congregations and for this
  purpose a deed by the trustees of the Presbyterian congregation to the
  Lutheran congregation and they desire this to be confirmed.  The deed
  executed by JACOB SNIDER and JOHN HOSLER, trustees of the German Presbyterian
  congregation of Guilford Twp. Franklin Co. to JOHN TRITLE  and  JOHN ESSICK,
  trustees of the German Lutheran congregation of the same township and county
  dated 20 Jan 1832 is hereby confirmed and declared valid and the estate is
  vested in the trustees and members of the two congregations as tenants in common.

  That JAMES BANKS of Mercer Co. guardian of JOHN ELDER and HANNAH ELDER, minor
  children of WILLIAM ELDER, dec. is authorized to make sale of the whole or
  parts of such tracts or lots of land in Mercer Co. as the aforesaid William
  Elder, in his lifetime may have purchased at treasurer's sale for taxes, and
  to make deeds in due form of law for the same, and he James Banks shall
  place  the proceeds arising from the lands in some productive fund for the
  use of John and Hannah Elder.

  That GEORGE KENT, guardian of the children of ARTHUR HOOK, dec. is hereby
  authorized to sell and convey by good deed in fee for the best price he can
  obtain, a certain lot of land containing 40 acres, situate in Morgan Twp.
  Greene Co. adjoining lands late of JACOB RHINEHEART, DAVID THOMAS and others,
  and the proceeds of said sale the guardian is hereby authorized to put to
  interest for the benefit of the children as they arrive at 21 years of age.

  175. An act to authorize the laying out of a state road in Lancaster and
  Berks counties and for other purposes.
  That WILLIAM HIESTER, SAMUEL O. JACOBS of Lancaster county, and DOCTOR JONAS
  ROTHROCK and DAVID LUDWIG of Berks county, are hereby appointed commissioners
  to lay out a state road, beginning near the public house of AMOS S. KINZER, on
  the Downingtown, Ephrata and Harrisburg turnpike, in Lancaster county, thence
  to the old Lancaster road, near the new bridge over the Schuylkill at
  Garber's ferry.

  That JARED SHATTUCK of Crawford county, BERNARD MARTIN of Venango county, and
  MARTIN STRONG of Erie county, are hereby appointed commissioners to lay out a
  state road beginning near Pine creek, on the Susquehanna and Waterford
  turnpike road in Venango county, thence by Oil Creek Furance, Titus,
  Centerville and Bloomfield, in Crawford county to Union Mills in Erie county.

  That ANTHONY KLECKNER of Centre county, JOHN FLEMING and DAVID HANNA of
  Lycoming county, are hereby appointed commissioners to lay out a state road
  beginning at the tavern house of Anthony Kleckner in Logan Twp., Centre
  county, thence to Bald Eagle creek, near the Great Island in Lycoming county.

  That ANDREW BORLAND, IRA HOLLOWAY and DAVID GARDNER, are hereby appointed
  commissioners to review that part of the state road leading from Greenville
  to Franklin, near to Georgetown and Holloway's mill, with power to alter it.

  That EBENEZER LAWSON, shall have the right at his cost, to make a convenient
  landing on the west side of the west branch of the river Susquehanna, as a
  public ferry, across the river from Muncy creek twp., to Clinton Twp..

  That SOLOMON MANGESS, shall have the right to make a convenient landing on
  the east side of the west branch of the river Susquehanna as a public ferry,
  from Clinton twp., to Muncy creek twp. 

  That the directors of the poor and of the house of employment for the
  townships of Oxford and Lower Dublin of Philadelphia, are hereby authorized
  to sell and convey unto SAMUEL COMLY, SAMUEL WILLING, RICHARD F. ALLEN,
  WILLIAM FOLWELL and JOSEPH RIPKA, so much of the land belonging to the farm
  connected with the poor institution not exceeding five acres.

  That WILLIAM PATTERSON, of the county of Adams, and HENRY LOGAN of the county
  of York, and PETER LOBACH of the county of Cumberland, are hereby appointed
  commissioners for marking a line, beginning at a point where the York, Adams,
  and Cumberland county lines meet, called Coulters road, to a point leading
  from Gettysburg to Shippensburg, on the top of the South mountain, which
  shall be the boundary line dividing the county of Adams from the county of
  Cumberland.

  That SAMUEL OAKES of Columbia county, and THOMAS SMITH and ABRAHAM STRAUB of
  Northumberland, are hereby appointed commissioners to mark the division line
  between the counties of Union and Lycoming.

  That BENJAMIN ADAMS and JAMES JOHNSTON of Beaver county, and JOHN STEVENSON,
  of Allegheny county, are hereby appointed commissioners to lay out a state
  road, beginning at Phillipsburg in Beaver county, to intersect with Hookstown
  state road, near the Big Lick, in Robertson twp., in Allegheny county.

  That the Governor is hereby authorized to draw his warrant on the State
  Treasurer in favor of MATHEW DILL ESQ. and THOMAS FRAGARDIN ESQ. of Greene
  county, and JESSE BUMGARNER ESQ., of Washington county, for the sum of
  $700.00 for erection of a bridge over Ten Mile creek, where the state road
  leding from the city of Pittsburg to Morgantown, Va. crosses.

  That the Governor is hereby authorized to draw a warrant on the State
  Treasurer, in favor of WILLIAM SCOTT, ANDREW CHRISTY and JAMES WAUGH, of the
  county of Mercer, for the sum of $600.00 for rebuilding of the bridge over
  Shenango creek, at Greenville, in Mercer county.   4 May 1832.

  176. An act for the relief of sundry soldiers and widows of soldiers of the
  revolutionary war.
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to JAMES EWING, of Chester
  Co., HENRY NEVIL of Montgomery Co., PAUL THORP, of Fayette Co., THOMAS YOUNG,
  of Greene Co. and VALENTINE KOHLER, of York Co., soldiers of the revolutionary
  war, forty dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars, payable half
  yearly, during life, to commence on 1 Mar 1832.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to FREDERICK BURKART of the
  city of Philadelphia, JACOB JOHNSON  and  CHRISTOPHER CAR and ABRAHAM
  HARTRANFT of Montgomery Co., MICHAEL SCHINDLEDECKER of Mercer Co., FREDERICK
  BAUM of Mifflin Co., PAUL BARLET of Berks Co., PETER BERRY of Lebanon Co.,
  JACOB HOLSTON of Northumberland Co., and HUGH BEATY of Union Co. forty
  dollars immediately as a gratuity and compensation in full for their
  revolutionary services.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay MARGARET ERWIN of
  Philadelphia Co., and RACHEL ROSEBRAUGH of Huntington Co., widows of soldiers
  of the revolutionary war forty dollars immediately and an annuity of forty
  dollars during life, payable half yearly to commence on 1 Mar 1832.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay ISAAC FEATHER of Montgomery
  Co., PHILIP NEITZ of Union Co., GEORGE FOX of Philadelphia Co., ANDREW
  DENNISON  of Bucks Co., JAMES DRENNAN  and JAMES FULTON of Chester Co.,
  GEORGE LINGENFELTER and JACOB RUDY of York Co., THOMAS BECK of the city of
  Philadelphia, JAMES DUNGAN of Philadelphia Co., and JOSEPH WILSON  of Fayette
  Co., forty dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars, payable half
  yearly during life, to commence on 1 Mar 1832. 

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay ELEANOR GOSNELL of the city
  of Philadelphia, the widow of a soldier of the revolutionary war, forty
  dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars payable half yearly
  during life, to commence on the 1 Mar 1832.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay JOHN KUHNS of Union Co.,
  CONRAD SCHMITH of Montgomery Co., ANDREW SMITH of York Co., JOHN MIDDAUGH of
  Juniata Co., JACOB EYLER of Cumberland Co. and WILLIAM BEAN of Mercer Co.
  forty dollars, as a gratuity and as a compensation in full for their
  revolutionary services.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay MARY MYLER, widow of WILLIAM
  MYLER of Westmoreland Co., a soldier of the revolutionary war, and MARGARET
  DEMPSY of Ross Co. state of Ohio, a widow of a soldier of the revolutionary
  war, a gratuity of forty dollars.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to JOHN EWING of Huntingdon
  Co., a soldier of the revolution forty dollars as a gratuity for his
  revolutionary services, and the act passed 24 Mar 1832, entitled "An act for
  the relief of James Ewing, James Seals and Thomas Abbott, soldiers of the
  revolutionary war," as grants a gratuity to JAMES EWING of Huntingdon Co. is
  hereby repealed.  4 May 1832.

  181. An act to incorporate the town of Liverpool, in the county of Perry,
  into a borough.
  It shall be the duty of GEORGE MITCHELL, JOHN STEHLEY, GEORGE FOLKER, to give
  notice of the first election.  4 May 1832.

  183. An act to incorporate the trustees of the Proprietors of Salem township,
  in Luzerne county.
  That until the election of the officers of this corporation, JOHN BIDLACK,
  JOSIAH T. BEACH and ALEXANDER JAMISON, the present committee of the
  proprietors of the township of Salem, shall be vested with the powers of
  trustees.   4 May 1832.

  186. An act for the relief of SEBASTIAN KOCH, THOMAS M'KLEROY, JAMES DENNY,
  ISAAC COWELL and ADAM POPE, soldiers of the revolutionary war, and ELIZABETH
  CLINDIENST and SUSAN MOSHER, widows of soldiers of the revolutionary war,
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay Sebastian Koch of Berks Co.,
  Thomas M'Kleroy of Fayette Co., and Adam Pope of York Co., forty dollars
  immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars, payable half yearly, to
  commence on 1 Jan 1832.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay James Denny and Isaac Cowell,
  of Green Co., soldiers of the revolutionary war, forty dollars each
  immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars payable half yearly during life,
  to commence on 1 Jan 1832.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay Elizabeth Clindeinst, of York
  Co., the widow of a soldier of the revolutionary war, forty dollars
  immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars, payable half yearly, to
  commence on 1 Jan 1832.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay Susan Mosher, widow of
  JEREMIAH MOSHER, late of the city of Lancaster, a soldier of the
  revolutionary war, a gratuity of forty dollars.  4 May 1832. 

  187. An act to incorporate a company for making a turnpike road from the
  borough of Pottsville, through Minersville and Carbondale, in Schuylkill
  county, to DANIEL HERB'S tavern, in Northumberland county, and for other
  purposes.
  That BENJAMIN BECKER, BENJAMIN BENSINGER, WILLIAM MORTIMORE, JOHN C.
  OFFERMAN, JOHN PATRICK, PETER KLOCK, GEORGE HEPLER and DANIEL HERK SEN., are
  hereby appointed commissioners, for making a turnpike road.

  That JACOB GOSSLER of Columbia, WILLIAM POIST and ABRAHAM BITNER of
  Washington, JACOB WITMER and BENJAMIN MELLINGER of Manor twp., HENRY SHENK of
  Conestogo, WILLIAM M'CREERY of Martick, THOMAS NEIL and JOSEPH PENNY of
  Drumore, and JEREMIAH BROWN of Little Britian, all in the county of
  Lancaster, are hereby appointed commissioners, to incorporate the Columbia,
  Washington, and Port Deposit road company, to lay rails upon the road for
  rail road purposes.

  That BARNET GILLELAND of Connequenessing twp., THOMAS KELLEY of Butler twp.,
  Butler county and ROBERT BEATTY of Allegheny county, are hereby appointed
  commissioners to lay out a state road, beginning near ARTHUR M'GILL's mill,
  in Middlesex twp., Butler county, to intersect the Pittsburg and Harmony
  road, near the house of MARTIN BYRNE, in Allegheny county.   5 May 1832.  

  188. An act to incorporate a company for making a turnpike road from
  Sunneytown to the Perkiomen and Reading turnpike road, near the Perkiomen
  bridge, in Montgomery county.
  That JOHN MARKLEY of the borough of Norristown, JOHN MILLER of Norriton,
  SAMUEL DETWILER, JOHN HUNSECKER, JOHN ZEILER, JACOB SCHWENK, ANDREW ZEIBER,
  JOHN GUYER and ISAAC SHULTZ are hereby appointed commissioners.   5 May 1832. 

  191. An act for the relief of JACOB BOOZ and EBERHART OHL, soldiers of the
  revolutionary war,
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Jacob Booz of
  Montgmery county, forty dollars as a gratuity for his revolutionary services.

  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to Eberhart Ohl of
  Schuylkill county, forty dollars as a gratuity for his revolutionary
  services.   5 May 1832.

  201. An act to authorize JOHN G. LOWERY and HAMILTON HUMES, guardians of the
  minor children of JOHN MILES, deceased, and the administrator of JOHNSTON
  FRYE, deceased, to sell and convey certain real estate,
  That Hamilton Humes and John G. Lowrey, guardians of EDWARD MILES, EMELINE
  MILES, JOSEPH MILES, GREEN MILES and ELIZABETH MILES, minor children of John
  Miles, late of Boggs Twp., Centre Co. dec. are authorized to sell all the
  right, title, etc. the said children have in certain real property in said
  county, viz: in Centre furnace, with land etc. and in Milesburg forge, with
  lands etc. subject to a certain deed of trust entered into by the said John
  Miles in his life time with JOSEPH MILES, and to the payment out of the
  proceeds of said sale of any money that may appear to be due to Joseph Miles,
  and the guardians are hereby authorized to execute a deed to the purchaser of
  said property.

  That ABRAHAM FRYE of Washngton Co. administrator of the estate of Johnston
  Frye, is hereby authorized to make and execute a deed of conveyance to
  BENJAMIN FRYE of said county, for nine acres and nineteen perches of land
  situate in Fallowfield Twp., Washington Co. adjoining land of Benjamin Frye,
  which deed shall have the same effect and validity as if the same had been
  executed by Johnston Frye in his life time.  5 May 1832. 

  202. An act to authorize MARY MCCALL, guardian of WILLIAM C. MCCALL minor
  child of DR. WILLIAM C. MCCALL, deceased, to sell and convey his real estate,
  That Mary M'Call, guardian of William C. M'Call, minor child of Doctor
  William C. M'Call, late of the city of Philadelphia, dec. is hereby
  authorized to sell and convey any real estate of the said minor, situtate in
  the state of Pa. and the deeds executed shall be deemed to have the same
  effect as if the said minor were of full age and the same were duly made and
  executed by him.

  That VIOLETTA RAMSEY, administratrix with the will annexed, of ANN SCOTT,
  late of Middletown , Dauphin Co. dec. is hereby authorized to sell all the
  right, title etc. of said Ann Scott, dec held in her lifetime in a house and
  lot of ground situate in Middletown, Dauphin Co., bounded by the Main St., by
  lot late of CHRISTIAN SPAYD, dec. ,lot of GEORGE SELTZER and others,
  containing two acres, and convey the same by deed to the purchaser, provided
  also that the sale shall be approved by the Orphans court of Dauphin Co.  7
  May 1832.

  204. An act to incorporate a company for making a turnpike road form
  Honesdale to the Delaware river, near the mouth of the Great Equinunk creek,
  in Wayne county.
  That PAUL S. PRESTON, CHARLES FORBES, THOMAS T. HAYES, ASA KIMBLE, ALEXANDER
  CALDER and EPHRAIM W. HAMLIN are hereby appointed commissioners.   7 May
  1832. 
 
  205. An act for the relief of JOHN KROAN, JOHN SANTEE, THOMAS MONTGOMERY and
  ROBERT CASBOLT, soldiers, and CATHARINE BONNICKS the widow of a soldier of
  the revolutionary war,
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay John Kroan of York Co.,
  John Santee of Northampton Co. Pa. and to Robert Casbolt of Green Co. state
  of Ohio, each forty dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars,
  payable half yearly, to commence on 1  Jan 1832.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay Catharine Bonnicks of York
  Co., the widow of a revolutionary soldier, forty dollars immediately and
  forty dollars, payable half yearly, to commence on the 1 Jan 1832.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay Thomas Montgomery of
  Washington Co. State of Kentucky, a gratuity of forty dollars, as a
  compensation in full for his revolutionary services.

  206. An act to authorize SAMUEL DORSEY, and PRISCILLA DORSEY, his wife, to
  sell and convey certain real estate, and to reinvest the proceeds thereof, in
  other real property,
  Whereas, Priscilla Dorsey, of Fayette Co. before her marriage did execute a
  deed of her interest in a certain lot of ground in Union Town, containing
  about 6 acres, being the one undivided fourth part to the children she had
  then or might have, subject to her use during her lifetime.  The interest of
  Priscilla and her children could be greatly promoted by the sale of their
  interest in the said lot.  Therefore, Samuel Dorsey and Priscilla his wife,
  are authorized to sell in fee simple, the estate of her minor children and to
  re-invest the proceeds in other real property, which shall be held under the
  same provisions as the said lot is now held. If there is any surplus from the
  sale, that cannot be conveniently-re-invested in other real property, the same
  shall be secured agreeably to the directions of the Orphans Court of Fayette
  Co.  7 May 1832.

  207. An act to incorporate a company for erecting a bridge over the river
  Schuylkill at Matson's Ford, in the county of Montgomery.
  That DAVIS HENDERSON, DAVID HARRY, ISAAC JONES, NATHANIEL M. LEARNARD, PETER
  DAGER and HARMAN YERKES, all of Montgomery county, are hereby appointed
  commissioners for erecting a bridge.  7 May 1832.

  208. An act for the relief of JOHN MILLER and JOHN BICKEL, administrators of
  JOHN KENDALL, deceased, and for the relief of MICHAEL H. SPANGLER, brigade
  inspector of the first brigade fifth division Pennsylvania militia, and for
  other purposes,
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to John Miller and John
  Bickel administrators of John Kendall, dec. late a deputy marshall for the
  counties of Berks and Schuylkill, $396.95, as compensation for collecting
  certain militia fines.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay Michael H. Spangler, brigade
  inspector of the first brigade, fifth division, Pa. Militia, the sum of sixty
  dollars as compensation for setting up the accounts of his predecessor.

  The commissioners of Allegheny county, are hereby authorized to draw their
  warrants on the county treasurer, in favor of EBENEZER KERR, late a coroner
  of said county, for the amount of jurors, constables and witnesses fees, paid
  on coroners inquests held by him at the rate of one dollar per diem for each
  juror in each case; and the constables and witnesses fees shall be taxed in
  conformity with the act of the 22 Feb 1821.  7 May 1832. 

  210. An act relative to the real estate of NATHANIEL NEWLIN, deceased, late
  of Delaware County,
  The Orphans court of Delaware County is hereby authorized upon the
  application of CYRUS MENDENHALL and THOMAS SMITH, guardians of the minor
  grand children of Nathaniel Newlin, dec., if the judges be satisfied that a
  sale of the real estate of said minors consisting of about eighty acres of
  land situated othe the township of Darby, in said county, devised to said
  children by the will of their grandfather, would be more conducive to the
  interest of said minors, to order a sale and conveyance of said land for the
  purpose of paying legacies charged thereon, and maintaining and educating
  said minor children.  7 May 1832.  

  214. An act to authorize the sale of certain real estate of ISRAEL ISRAEL,
  late of the city of Philadelphia, deceased.
  That upon the petition of MARY ELLET and her husband CHARLES ELLET, the court
  of Philadelphia is hereby authorized to appoint a trustee to sell and convey
  all of the share of real estate of Israel Israel, late of the city, dec.
  which was allotted to and taken by Mary Ellet, daughter of the dec., for her
  use for life, and for her children.  The trustee shall secure the safe and
  permanent investment of the funds arising from such sale, the payment of the
  income to Mary Ellet for life, and after her decease among her children and
  the issue of any deceased child, the latter to take only the parents'
  share.   7 May 1832.

  215. An act relative to the Carlisle and Hanover turnpike road company, and
  for other purposes.
  That LEWIS DEWART, HENRY MASSER, EDWARD GOBIN, ISAAC SEIGLER, PETER WEIMER,
  GIDEON MARKEL, JOHN ROBINS, JOHN G. YOUNGMAN, CHARLES G. DONNEL, MARTIN
  WEAVER, HENRY SHAFFER, FRANCIS W. RAWLE, JAMES A. GILMER, GEORGE WEISER,
  HENRY YOXTHEIMER, JOHN YOUNG, JOHN G. MARTIN, ALEXANDER JORDAN, WILLIAM
  M'CARTY, GEORGE WIETZEL, DANIEL LEVY, PETER MARTZ, GEORGE PRINCE, SAMUEL
  M'CORMICK, JOHN B. PRICE, WILLIAM N. ROBINS, CHRISTIAN BALDY, DANIEL BOGAR,
  JACOB BRIGHT, SAMUEL JOHN, JOHN JONES, WILLIAM H. MUENCH, ALBE C. BARRET and
  PETER LEISENRING are hereby appointed commissioners to construct a railroad
  instead of a canal from the Shamokin coal mines to the river Susquehanna.  7

  216. An act to authorize the administrators de bonis non with the will
  annexed of PETER MUNDORFF, late of the borough of York, deceased, to sell and
  convey the real estate of said deceased, and for other purposes,
  That JOSEPH MORRIS and MARTIN EBERT, administrators de bonis non, with the
  will annexed of Peter Mundorff of the borough of York, dec. are hereby
  authorized to sell all the real estate of the said Mundorff, situate in the
  county of York; and to execute a deed of conveyance thereof to the purchaser.

  Whereas, WILLIAM BUTLER purchased from JANE CLARK of the city of
  Philadelphia, with his own funds, a tract of land called Wakefield,  situate
  on the west side of the Youghiogany river at the Great Crossings, in Fayette
  county, containing 362 1/4 acres, and being
  in a state of ill health, from which he was not expected to recover, procured
  the deed for the same, to be made to his wife Margaret, now dec. as a
  maintenance for her, in the event of her surviving him. An whereas clear
  profits of the said premises did not exceed twenty dollars, he laid out
  $400.00 in making improvements thereon. Whereas William Butler and MARGARET
  BUTLER his wife, by articles of agreement, on the 16 Sep 1828 and JOHN EASTER
  JR. contracted for the sale of the premises by them to him for the sum of
  $2000.00 and John Easter, on the faith of the contract entered into the
  possession of the premises, paid before the death of Margaret $1350.00 of the
  purchase money and expanded in improvements on the premises, upwards of
  $1200.00.  And as Margaret, dying suddenly, more then eight months before the
  time when according to the contract, the deed for the said tract of land was
  to be made for the performance of the same contract in her life time., and
  there appearing no adequate provision by existing law, and it being but right
  and equitable that the said purchaser should have a clear title.  Therefore
  William Butler, administrator of the estate of Margaret Butler, late of Adams
  Co. dec. is authorized to be proved in the court of Fayette Co. the contract
  in writing for the sale of a certain tract of land called Wakefield, on the
  west side of the Youghiogany river at he Great Crossings, in the county of
  Fayette, and execute a deed for the said lands consistent with the true
  meaning of the said contract, and the same shall be recorded in the office of
  deeds.  7 May 1832.	

  217. An act relative to the real estate of MICHAEL FESSLER, late of
  Schuylkill county, deceased,
  The Orphans Court of Schuylkill county is hereby authorized upon the
  application of ELIZABETH FESLER, executrix, and LUDWIG BERGER, executor of
  the last will and testament of Michael Fesler, late of said county, dec. if
  the judges be satisfied that a sale of the real estate mentioned in said
  will, situated in the township of Manheim would be most beneficial to the
  interest of those concerned, to order a sale and execute a deed to the
  purchaser.  7 May 1832. 

  218. An act to incorporate the Philadelphia Typographical Society.
  That JAMES RUSSELL, A.W. BENEDICT, JOHN P. COLCORD, JOHN BOYLE, J.J. HASWELL,
  NICHOLAS SPENCER, FAYETTE PIERSON, JOHN NOTSON, JOHN R. WALLACE, WILLIAM
  CORSE, WILLIAM WELLINGTON, ALEXANDER KNOX, DAVID BARTRAM, GEORGE D. HASWELL,
  JOHN W. GIBBS, ROBERT W. BARNARD, E. BARRINGTON, BENJAMIN MIFFLIN are hereby
  incorporated under the name of Philadelphia Typographical Society.  7 May 1832.

  222. An act to incorporate the town of Pinegrove, Schuylkill county, into a borough.
  The boundries of the borough: beginning in the middle of the river Swatara,
  on a line of lands of PETER FILBERT, _____ LEY, ______ HOCH, and church land,
  through land of JOHN KEYSER, thence through land of JACOB HUBLER, ______
  LEHMAN, and _____ GRATZ, and JOHN ZIMMERMAN's lands to the middle of the
  river Swatara, to beginning.  All persons entitled to vote shall do so at the
  house of HENRY W. CONRAD.  7 May 1832.

  223. An act concerning proceedings in partition on the property of SETH
  GRAIGE, dec.
  In the city and county of Philadelphia, in which SETH W. CRAIGE, GEORGE S.
  CRAIGE and WILLIAM T. CRAIGE, minors, by their guardian, ELIZA CRAIGE, are
  demandants, and THOMAS H. CRAIGE, and others are defendants, brought to Dec.
  term, 1831, an action of partition shall be held as valid as if the parties
  were of full age, and the courts had ruled the lands and tenements could not
  be divided and had valued the same.  1 Jun 1832.

  225. An act relative to election districts, and for other purposes.
  That the electors of the township of Wayne, Schuylkill county, shall hold
  their elections at the house now occupied by MORITZ HEILNER, innkeeper, in
  the town of Friedensburg.

  That the electors of New Milford, Susquehanna county, shall hold their
  elections at the house now occupied by HARVEY GRIFFIN.

  That Girard twp., Erie county, shall be a separate election district and the
  electors shall hold their elections at the school house near THOMAS

  226. An act to annul the marriage contract of ULRICHT KNEIHT and SUSANNA
  KNEIHT his wife,
  The marriage contract entered into by Ulricht Knecht of Northampton county,
  and Susannah his wife, is hereby annulled and made void, and the parties
  released from all duties and obligations as if they had never been joined in
  marriage.   7 Jun 1832. 

  227. An act to provide for the election of Representatives of the people of
  this state in the Congress of the United States.

  234. An act altering and amending the Charter of Incorporation of the

  Whereas, MATTHEW CARR, JOHN ROSSITER, and MICHAEL HURLEY, were on 10 Nov
  1804, incorporated as the Brothers etc.  Matthew Carr and John Rossiter have
  since become deceased.  Therefore, Michael Hurley, is authorized to elect two

  237. An act for the relief of JOHN LINDSEY and JOHN ALLISON, soldiers of the
  revolutionary war,
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay John Lindsey of the city of
  Philadelphia, and John Allison, of Chester County, soldiers of the revolution
  each forty dollars as a gratuity for their revolutionary services.  11 Jun 1832.

  238. An act to vest in MARIA DOROTHY WINKLEFOSS the right of this
  commonwealth to the estate of her illegitimate sister, MARIA ANTIONETTE
  WINKLEFOSS, late of the township of Spring Garden, in the county of York,
  That all right, claims and interest which this commonwealth may have acquired
  by reason of any escheat, form the want of heirs of Maria Antoinette
  Winklefoss, formerly of Spring Garden Twp. York County, dec. in an estate
  whereof she died seized and possessed, shall be and the same is hereby
  granted to Maria Dorothy Winklefoss subject to the tax imposed by the act
  relating to collateral inheritance.  11 Jun 1832. 

  239. An act to confer on GEORGE KAUFMAN, junior the rights and benefits of a
  child born in lawful wedlock,
  That GEORGE KAUFMAN JR., a son of George Kaufman and MARIA KAUFMAN, (late
  MARIA BOYER) of Schuylkill county, and born sometime before the marriage of
  George and Maria Kaufman shall have and enjoy all the rights, benefits and
  advantages, of a child born in lawful wedlock as if he had been born
  subsequently to the intermarriage of his aforesaid parents.  11 Jun 1832. 

  240. An act altering the place of holding the general elections in Fairview
  township, Erie county.
  That the electors of Fairview township, Erie county, shall hold their
  elections at the school house near THOMAS FARGO, on the Ridge road.   11 Jun 1832.

  244. An act to enable ALEXANDER HENRY, guardian of the minor children of the
  late SILAS E. WEIR, to take the real estate of the deceased, for the minor
  children,
  That Alexander Henry, guardian of the minor children of Silas E. Weir, dec.
  is hereby authorized for the minors to accept and take the real estate of
  Silas E. Weir, in the city and county of Philadelphia, at the valuation of
  eighty thousand five hundred dollars, to hold to the said minors as tenants
  in common, and to pay if deemed advisable to secure upon the said real estate
  the portions which may belong to ABRAHAM MASON and ELIZABETH P. MASON his
  wife, formerly ELIZABETH P. WEIR, and EBENEZER MASON and SARAH L. MASON his
  wife, formerly SARAH L. WEIR, after a reasonable sum to be agreed upon for
  their contribution to the widow's income, and the Orphans court is authorized
  to secure to the widow the whole of her income as ascertained upon the real
  estate. Provided Abraham Mason and Elizabeth P. Mason, and Ebenezer Mason and
  Sarah L. Mason his wife, decline taking any portion of the said real estate at

  246. An act for the relief of sundry soldiers, and the widow of a soldier of
  the revolutionary war,
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay JACOB LAMBERT and MICHAEL
  HARTMAN of Berks County and ZACHARIAH CLOSSOM of Montgomery county, soldiers
  of the revolutionary war, forty dollars each, as a gratuity and compensation
  in full for their revolutionary services.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay MARY BERLIN of Crawford
  county, widow of ISAAC BERLIN, a soldier of the revolutionary war, forty
  dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars, payable half yearly,
  during life, to commence on the 1 Mar 1832.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay PHILIP WAMBACH, of York
  county a soldier of the revolutionary war, forty dollars immediately, and an
  annuity of forty dollars, payable half yearly, during life, to commence on
  the 1 Mar 1832.

  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay JOHN WILSON, a soldier of the
  revolution and JAMES SAYER of Dauphin County, a revolutionary soldier, forty
  dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars to each, payable half
  yearly, to commence on 1 Jan 1832.   11 Jun 1832. 

  249. An act to enable WILLIAM CLARK to dispose of a lot of ground in the city
  of Philadelphia, and for other purposes,
  That William Clark of the city of Philadelphia, having purchased from ELISHA
  W. COOK and wife a certain lot of ground situate on the west side of
  Thirteenth Street, in the city of Philadelphia, subject to a yearly rent
  charge of seventy one dollars and twenty five cents, to BENJAMIN DAVIDS and
  REBECCA DAVIDS his wife, which rent charge he also purchased form the said
  Benjamin Davids in trust for his daughter Caroline Clark, without any power
  to sell the same, he is hereby authorized to sell and to execute a deed for
  the same, as fully as if the conveyance to him had been absolute.  11 Jun 1832. 



  RESOLUTIONS


  1. Resolution relative to ELIZABETH BROBST,
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized  to pay to Elizabeth Brobst, widow
  of CHRISTIAN BROBST, dec. such monies as shall appear to have been wrongfully
  paid out of the estate of her late husband Christian Brobst, under the act
  relating to collateral inheritances. 20 Dec 1831.
 
  4. Resolution relative to CAPT. ISAAC LYNN,
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay Capt. Isaac Lynn of Fayette
  County, such monies as may appear to be due him, for money expended in
  marching his company to Erie in Pennsylvania, in the year 1813.    24 Jan
  1832.
  
  9. A supplement to a resolution, relative to ISAAC LYNN, passed 24 Jan 1832.
  The State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay Captain Isaac Lynn of Fayette
  County, the sum of $103.84 in full, for monies expended by him in marching his
  company of militia from Brownville, in Fayette county, to Erie in
  Pennsylvania, in the year 1813.  10 Feb 1832.

  12. Resolution relating to the claim of ARTHUR TONER,
  The Canal Commissioners are hereby authorized to settle the claim of Arthur
  Toner, late a contractor on the Pennsylvania Railroad on fair and equitable
  principles, and if anything shall be due him to draw their warrant on the
  treasury for the sum awarded.  5 Mar 1832.

  13. Resolution relative to soldiers of the revolutionary war,
  That the legislature fully and freely accord with, and respond to the
  resolutions adopted by the legislatures of the states of Delaware and
  Indiana, relative to placing on the United States Pension list such of the
  officers and soldiers of the revolutionary war, both regulars and militia, or
  their widows, as do not come within the present rules and requisitions of the
  act of Congress, to use their exertions to procure such a modification of the
  pension as as will comport with the spirit and intention of this resolution. 
  The governor be requested to forward a copy of these resolutions to each of
  our senators and Representatives in Congress.  16 Mar 1832.

  14. Resolution relative to the claim of JAMES MURRY, for compensation for
  damages upon the Western Division of the Pennsylvania canal,
  The Canal Commissioners are hereby instructed to examine the claim of James
  Murry of Westmoreland County, and if satisfied with facts related they shall
  allow him such compensation as they may think just, and if the said Murry be
  dissatisfied he shall have the right to appeal to the board of appraisers. 
  To be taken out of the same fund and in the same manner as in cases of
  damages sustained by reason of the construction of the Pennsylvania canal,
  now provided for by law.  16 Mar 1832.

  15. Resolution relative to JOSEPH M'MASTERS,
  The State Treasurer is hereby directed to pay Joseph M'Master, late Deputy
  Marshal of Allegheny county, such monies as may appear to be due him by the
  settlement of his accounts with the Auditor General, on the 31 Oct 1826 and
  on 11 Jan 1832, the said monies to be paid out of the fund arising from fines
  of delinquent militia men, for non-performance of militia duty during the late
  war.  16 Mar 1832.
 
  18. Resolution to pay the reward to JOHN STEWART and SIMEON HAYS, for
  apprehending a fugitive from justice,
  The Governor is hereby authorized to draw his warrant in favor of John
  Stewart and Simeon Hays, of the city of Baltimore, upon the State Treasurer,
  for the sum of two hundred dollars, the amount of the reward offered for the
  apprehension of a certain fugitive, charged with killing a certain JOHN
  LYNCH, on conviction of the said fugitive from justice.   4 Apr 1832.

  19. Resolution for the relief of ISAAC GRIFFITH, late Deputy Marshal of the
  Eastern district of Pennsylvania,
  Whereas a judgment was obtained in the court of Common Pleas, of Bucks
  county, at the suit of the Commonwealth against Isaac Griffith, late Deputy
  Marshal for the Eastern District of Pa. for certain fines which had been
  collected from delinquents in the county, for non-performance of militia duty
  during the late war with Great Britain.  Whereas he did not receive a credit
  for certain services, rendered under his appointment, for which it seems
  reasonable he should be allowed, amounting to a sum equal to the judgement so
  obtained.  Therefore he is hereby released and discharged form the payment of
  the judgement remaining unsatisfied against him and that the lands and goods
  of Isaac Griffth shall be exonerated from any execution or executions which
  have been issued for the recovery of the said judgement. Provided that
  nothing shall prevent or interfere with the recovery from Isaac Griffith all
  the costs, charges and expenses which may have accrued in the prosecution of
  said suit, including the monies already advanced as any expenses which yet be
  due.   5 Apr 1832.  

  21. Resolution to pay the reward to WILLIS H. BLAYNEY, for apprehending a
  fugitive from justice,
  The Government is hereby authorized to draw his warrant in favour of Willis
  H. Blayney, of the city of Philadelphia, upon the State Treasurer, for the
  sum of $300.00, the amount of the reward offered for the apprehension of
  LUCRETIA CHAPMAN, alias MINA,	by the proclamation of the Governor.   5 Apr 1832.

  22. Resolution relative to the commissioners for revising the code of
  Pennsylvania.
  That the State Treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to the orders of WILLIAM
  RAWLE ESQ., THOMAS I. WHARTON ESQ., and JOEL JONES ESQ.,  commissioners
  appointed in pursuance of the resolutions of the 23 Mar 1830, the sum of
  $1000.00 each, in full of all compensation for services and expenses in the
  performance of their duties and up to the 23 day of March, 1832.   7 Apr 1832.

  24. Resolution relative to the claims of ROBERT BEATTY, late inspector of the
  second brigade, of the fifteenth division, Pennsylvania militia, and of PETER
  EHINGER, late captain of the fifth company, of the one hundred and
  twenty-sixth regiment, Pennsylvania militia, and relative to the trustee of
  ELLIZABETH LYON,
  The Auditor General is hereby authorized to settle and adjust the accounts of
  Robert Beatty, late inspector of the second brigade, fifteeth division, Pa.
  Miliatia, and of Peter Ehinger late captain of the fifth company of the 126th
  regiment, Pa. militia, for sundry bills of contingent expenses incurred and
  services performed by them at and for the use of a court martial while
  sitting for the trial of delinquents and deserters during the late war.  The
  accounts when adjusted, are hereby authorized to be paid.

  That JOHN B. BOYD of the borough and county of Northumberland is hereby
  appointed trustee for Elizabeth Lyon, widow of an old soldier in the place of
  JOHN BOYD, lately dec. and is authorized to receive for the use of Elizabeth
  the annuity granted to her by act of 25 Mar 1824.   10 Apr 1832.

  30. Resolution relative to costs of THOMAS ROSS, deputy escheator general,
  and to the escheated estate of DINAH HENDERSON,
  The Auditor General is hereby authorized to settle and adjust the amount of
  costs legally due to Thomas Ross, late Deputy Escheator General for Bucks
  county, and the other officers, jurors and witnesses in the cases of the
  alleged escheat of the estates of EDWARD WEST and JOHN REYNOLDS, dec. and to
  draw his warrant on the State Treasurer for the amount due in favor of Thomas
  Ross and that the Auditor General be instructed to settle and pay the costs
  accrued in the case of the alleged escheated estate of Dinah Henderson dec.
  late of Northumberland county.  7 May 1832.

  31. Resolution authorizing the payment of the funeral expenses of WILLIAM
  MUSGRAVE, deceased, late state librarian,
  That the clerk of the Senate & clerk of the House of Representatives be
  directed to pay out of the contingent funds of the House and Senate in equal
  proportions the funeral expenses of William Musgrave dec. late state
  librarian, and they are authorized to place a head and foot stone at his
  grave, not to exceed in price forty dollars.

  33. Resolution relative to the claim of ANDREW BOGGS, for compensation for
  damages upon the Western Division of the Pennsylvania canal, 
  The canal commissioners are hereby instructed to examine the claim of Andrew
  Boggs of Westmoreland Co. for damages occasioned by the construction of the
  Western division of the Pa. canal, and report the extent of the damages
  sustained.  9 Jun 1832.

  36. Resolution to authorize the street commissioners of the borough of
  Towanda, to open a certain road or street therein.
  That the street commissioners of the borough of Towanda, are hereby
  authorized to open for public use a street lying within said borough, which
  was laid out by order of the court of Quarter Sessions of Bradford county,
  from the court house in Towanda to the fording near the public house then of
  WILLIAM MEANS JR..  11 Jun 1832.
