  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Commonwealth
  of Pennsylvania.  In General Assembly met and is hereby enacted by the
  Authority of the Same.  
  
  
  2. An act for the relief of ARTHUR  ST. CLAIR.
  That the board of enquiry are hereby directed to place Arthur St. Clair, late
  a Major General in the army of the United States, on the pension book and
  allow him an annuity not exceeding 1/4 of his pay according to the rank he
  held at the time he left the service, to continue during life, payable half
  yearly, and also an additional sum equal to one year's annuity to be paid at
  the time of making the decree, and the act for the relief of Arthur St. Clair
  passed 4 Feb 1813 is hereby repealed.  22 Dec 1813.
  
  4. An act to incorporate a company for making a road from Philadelphia and
  Lancaster turnpike, through the village of Strasburg in Lancaster county, to
  the Susquehanna bridge at _____ M'CALL's ferry, thence to the city of
  Baltimore.
  That ELISTON  PERROT, PAUL  BECK, WILLIAM  SANSOM, JACOB  DOWNING, WILLIAM 
  DAVIDSON, and JAMES  TAYLOR of the city of Philadelphia, EDWARD  BRIEN,
  JOHN  NEFF, NATHANIEL W.  SAMPLE, RUDOLPH  KEGEY, of the county of Lancaster,
  PA., and GENERAL CHARLES  RIDGELEY of Hampton, BENJAMIN  ELLICOTT, JAMES 
  CARROLL, LUKE  TIERNAN, HENRY  PAYSAN, WILLIAM  WILSON, JOHN  M'KIM JR.,
  ROBERT  MILLER, JAMES  CAREY, and CHARLES  JESSOP, of the city of Baltimore,
  MD, are hereby appointed commissioners.  22 Dec 1813.
  
  5. An act to incorporate a company for making a road, beginning at the
  intersection of the Egypt road with the Ridge turnpike, two miles above
  Norristown, Montgomery county, thence to Pawling's ford bridge over the river
  Schuylkill.
  That SAMUEL  WETHERILL JR., LEVI  PAWLING, ISAAC  MARKLEY, JOHN  SHANNON of
  Norrition, JOSEPH  CRAWFORD, JOHN  FRANCIS and HENRY  HIGHLY, are hereby
  appointed commissioners.  15 Jan 1814.
  
  6. An act to incorporate a company for making a road from the Milford and
  Owego turnpike, from the town of Milford, thence to Carpenter's ferry, on the
  river Delaware.
  That JOHN  BROADHEAD, MATTHEW  RIDGWAY, GEORGE  BUCKANNEN, JOHN  CROSS, JOHN
  B.  QUECK, JACOB  WESTBROOK, MATHIAS  KEEN, GARRIT  VANUNKER, FRANCIS A. L. 
  SMITH, are hereby appointed commissioners.  21 Jan 1814.
  
  7. An act to incorporate a company to erect a toll bridge over Big Beaver
  creek, near Wolf lane in Beaver county.
  That ROBERT  DARRAH, DAVID  HAYS, THOMAS  HENRY, and JONATHAN  MENDINHALL,
  are hereby appointed commissioners.  21 Jan 1814.
  
  8. An act to incorporate a company for making a turnpike road from the
  Lancaster and Susquehanna turnpike road, from the river shore, town of
  Columbia, to intersect Front Street, Marietta, to the intersection of Bridge
  street in the borough.
  That JOHN  HALDEMAN, JACOB  STRICKLER, DANIEL  MUSSER, SAMUEL  MILLER,
  ABRAHAM  REIMER, HENRY  CASSEL, CHRISTIAN  SHIRK, and JOHN  GREIDER,
  merchant, are hereby appointed commissioners.  21 Jan 1814.
  
  10. An act confirming the title of CALEB  HOOPES to a tract of land in
  Delaware county.
  That the title of Caleb Hoopes to a certain messuage and tract of land
  situtate in Thornbury twp., Delaware county, containing 10 acres purchased
  Jan. 1812 from JOSEPH  MOORE, an alien, through his agent JAMES  GIBBONS, is
  hereby confirmed and declared valid as if Joseph Moore had been a citizen of
  the United States at the time of purchase.  21 Jan 1814.
  
  12. An act to incorporate the Washington Steam Mill and Manufactoring Company.
  That persons of the borough of Washington, Washington county, for the purpose
  of erecting steam machinery for the making of flour and other manufactures,
  shall be declared one body politic and corporate, provided ALEXANDER  REED,
  ROBERT  HAMILTON, OBADIAH  JENNINGS, THOMAS  ACHESON, DAVID  MORRIS, HUGH 
  WORKMAN and THOMAS  BAIRD, be the present directors.  31 Jan 1814.
  
  13. An act granting to CHARLES  CAMPBELL the exclusive right to use a salt
  spring, recently discovered in the river Conemaugh.
  That the exclusive right to use a salt spring discovered by Charles Campbell
  in Blacklick twp., Indiana county, contiguous to a tract of land owned by him
  on the north side of the river, is hereby vested in Charles Campbell.  31 Jan 1814.
  
  15. An act to authorize ISAAC W.  NORRIS, administrator with the will
  annexed, of JOSEPH  SUMMERL, late of the city of Philadelphia merchant, dec.,
  to grant and convey real estate.
  That it shall be lawful for Isaac W. Norris, administrator, to sell the real
  estate of Joseph Summerl, and to execute a conveyance of the title to the
  purchaser.  31 Jan 1814.
  
  16. An act to incorporate a company for erecting a bridge over the river
  Susquehanna, near the borough of Marietta, Lancaster county.
  That HENRY  CASSEL, JAMES  MEHAFFEY, GEORGE  SNYDER, MATHIAS  RANK, THOMAS
  R.  BUCHANNON, CHRISTIAN  KEESEY, JOHN  HOUTZ, CHRISTIAN  HERTZLER, ANDREW 
  BOGGS, JOHN  GUNDACKER, SAMUEL  GROSH, DAVID  CASSEL, JACOB  ROHRER, and
  HENRY  SHARE, of the county of Lancaster, and JOHN  MILLER, GEORGE  SPANGLER,
  (surveyor) and GEORGE  UPP, of the county of York, are hereby appointed
  commissioners.  7 Feb 1814.
  
  23. An act releasing to JOHN  EASTERLINE and MAGDALENA  ESTERLINE the right
  of this commonwealth to escheated estate.
  Whereas, JOHN  WALTZ, late of Bucks county, died intestate, without issue or
  kindred, seized of real estate which escheated to this commonwealth, and
  whereas John Easterline and Magdalena Easterline were children of the late
  wife of John Waltz, by a subsequent marriage, therefore, all right and title
  of this commonwealth, in a lot of 12 acres, situate in Springfield twp.,
  Bucks county, adjoining lands of CONRAD  HESS, JOEPH  HESS, SAMUEL  TREIGLER,
  and others, is hereby released to John and Magdalena Esterline, as tenants in
  common, as well as all personal estate in the hands of GEORGE  RODROCK and
  VALENTINE  OPP.  7 Feb 1814.
  
  25. An act for the relief of HENRY  WALKER, an old soldier.
  That the state treasurer is hereby directed to pay unto Henry Walker, of
  Schuylkill county, the sum of forty dollars, immediately and an annuity of
  forty dollars for life, payable half yearly, to commence on 1 Jan 1814.  21
  Feb 1814.
  
  28. An act to confirm to WILLIAM  LAWSON, the right to a certain tract of land.
  Whereas, as act passed 4 Mar 1813, in consideration of military services of
  FRANCIS  MILLER, late a sergeant in the PA line, did direct a patent to issue
  to legal heirs of Miller, for a tract of land containing 250 acres, in
  pursuance of a tract in Beaver county, being lot #4, in the first donation
  district, was drawn and patented, and as Miller left two female twin
  children, ISABELLA  MILLER, intermarried with JOHN  ROGERS, and NANCY 
  MILLER, intermarried with WILLIAM  LAWSON, who were born a short time before
  the marriage of their parents, whereby they are legally disqualified from
  succeeding to the land, and John Rogers and Isaabella his wife, have for a
  consideration transferred by deed to William Lawson, all their right to the
  land, therefore, Nancy Lawson and Isabella Rogers, late Nancy and Isabella
  Miller, natural children of Francis Miller, late a sergeant in the PA line,
  of the revolutionary army, are hereby entitled to all rights of succession
  and inheritance as if they were born in wedlock, and the title to lot #4,
  Beaver county, is hereby confirmed to William Lawson, 1/2 in right of his
  wife, and the other half to John Rogers, and Isabella his wife, provided
  right of dower of the widow of Francis Miller in the land is not in any
  manner impaired.  21 Feb 1814.
  
  30. An act to incorporate the German religious society of Seventh day
  Baptists of Ephrata, Cocalico twp., Lancaster county.
  Whereas, the monastic branch is reduced to a few aged and infirm members, who
  are incapable of managing their estate, and upon whose death the same will
  probably become extinct, therefore, the religious society is hereby
  constituted a body politic and corporate, and CHRISTIAN  BOWMAN, JACOB 
  GORGAS, ABEL  WITMER, SAMUEL  FAHNESTOCK, JACOB  KIMMEL JR., OBED 
  FAHNESTOCK, and JACOB  KOENIGMACKER, are hereby appointed trustees, and they
  have power out of the funds and profits of the real estate of the society, to
  provide for the comfortable support and maintenance of the in door members of
  the society, during the door members lifetime, provided that the rights,
  privileges and immunities of JOHN A.  KELP, JONATHAN  KELP, CATHARINE  KELP,
  and CHRISTIAN  LUTHER, who now reside on the premises of the society, shall
  continue to do so for their natural lifetimes.  21 Feb 1814.
  
  35. A supplement to an act erecting parts of Dauphin and Lancaster counties
  into a separate county, called Lebanon.
  That THOMAS  SMITH of Dauphin county, and LEVI G.  HOLLINGSWORTH, of Lebanon
  county, and JACOB  HIBSHMAN of Lancaster county, are hereby appointed
  commissioners to mark the boundary lines between Lebanon, Dauphin, and
  Lancaster.  21 Feb 1814.
  
  40. An act releasing to ANNA MARIA  LOYER, the right of the commonwealth to
  an escheated estate.
  Whereas, JOHN  LOYER, late of Unity twp., Westmoreland county, dec., died
  intestate without heirs or kindred, seized of real estate and as John left a
  widow, named Anna Maria to whom it appears the title of the commonwealth to
  the estate should be released, therefore, the right, title and interest of
  the commonwealth to a tract of land which was conveyed to on 17 Apr 1809, by
  JOHN  BOSSART, and ELIZABETH  BOSSART his wife, situtate in Unity twp.,
  containing 27 1/2 acres is hereby released to Anna Maria Loyer, widow, as
  well as all personal estate in the hands of JACOB  POORMAN, administrator. 
  25 Feb 1814.
  
  44. A supplement to the act incorporating the company of Marietta, Richland
  and Mountjoy turnpike road, passed 28 Jan 1813.
  That the company is to complete a road beginning at the river Susquehanna, in
  the borough of Marietta, along Bank street, through lands of HENRY  CASSEL and
  JOHN  CROW, to the intersection of the turnpike at HENRY  SHARE's new
  buildings, and they are hereby authorized to receive from WILLIAM  CHILD, all
  the money he may receive from lot owners in Marietta, which was appropriated
  for making the road, and to pay over to the treasurer of the turnpike
  company.  25 Feb 1814.
  
  47. An act to incorporate a company, to make a road beginning at the end of
  Little Conestoga turnpike road, Berks county, through Morgantown, and
  Churchtown, to the Blue Ball tavern in Lancaster county.
  That WILLIAM  CLYMER, JONATHAN  HUDSON, and DAVID  MORGAN, of Berks county,
  and CHRISTIAN  MAST, GEORGE  JENKINS, JOHN  ZELL, MARTIN  RINGWALD, JOSEPH 
  WEAVER, RICHARD  JACOBS, and GEORGE  WEAVER, of Lancaster county, are hereby
  appointed commissioners.  25 Feb 1814.
  
  51, An act to erect the town of Bridgeport, Fayette county, into a borough.
  The boundaries begin at the mouth of Dunlap's creek, and end at JONAH 
  CADWALLADER's mill dam, and MORRIS  TRUMAN and SAMUEL  JONES shall publish
  and superintend the election.  9 Mar 1814.
  
  52. An act vesting a escheated estate, late the property of JABEZ  BAILEY, of
  Chester county, dec.
  Whereas, Jabez Bailey, died by casualty, intestate, unmarried and without
  issue, seized and possessed of a messuage and tract of land containing 100
  acres, situate in the township of East Marlborough, and he was the reputed
  and acknowledged son of ISAAC  BAILEY, but Jabez having been born some short
  before the intermarriage of his parents, and for that reason being
  illegitimate, his estate has escheated to the commonwealth, and Isaac his
  father has petitioned the escheated estate of his son be released by the
  commonwealth, and permitted to vest and descend to the father and mother,
  brothers and sisters of Jabez in the same manner it would have descended if
  he had not been born pervious to the marriage of his parents, therefore, all
  the right and title of the commonwealth to the estate of Jabez Bailey, son of
  Isaac, of Newlin twp., Chester county, is hereby released and shall descend as
  if he had been born in lawful wedlock, provided Isaac Bailey will release, all
  title and claim in his share of the portion in the estate of which his father
  died intestate, and which had been bequeathed to SAMUEL  BAILEY his
  brother.  9 Mar 1814.
  
  53. An act to authorize the administrators of DAVID  BRANDT, dec., to convey
  a tract of land in Allen twp., Cumberland county.
  Whereas, by petition of ADAM  BRANDT the elder, and MARTIN  BRANDT the
  younger, administrators of David Brandt, late of Allen twp., Cumberland
  county, dec., that JAMES  CORBET conveyed a tract of land, containing 160
  acres and 92 perches, to the deceased in his lifetime, and as a verbal
  contract was entered into between the deceased and Adam Brandt the younger,
  for 100 acres and 16 perches, and he was party in the original agreement
  between James Corbet and the deceased, and paid the full consideration money
  for the portion of land, and the dec. made no provision for conveying it to
  Adam Brandt, therefore, the administrators are authorized to make a good deed
  to Adam Brandt the younger, for 100 acres and 16 perches of land, adjoining
  the lands of MICHAEL  EGE, Martin Brandt, and others.  9 Mar 1814.
  
  54. A supplement to the act incorporating a company for making a road from
  the bank of the river Susquehanna opposite Harrisburg to Pittsburg.

  56. An act to validate and confirm the proceedings of JOSHUA  DAVIS, late
  justice of the peace in Northampton county.
  That all acknowledgments of deeds and other judicial proceedings taken before
  Joshua Davis, a justice of the peace in East Penn twp., Northampton county,
  prior to 1 Apr 1811, are hereby confirmed and made as valid as if he had
  resided within the district for which he had been appointed.  9 Mar 1814.
  
  57. An act for the relief of JOSEPH  HORNER.
  Whereas, Joseph Horner purchased of ANDREW  ALLEN, 182 acres and 67 perches
  of land in Allen twp., Northampton county, in 1776, at the rate of $12.00 per
  acre, 832 pounds, 19 shillings of consideration money was confiscated for the
  use of the commonwealth, and paid into the treasurery, in pursuance of an act
  passed 6 Mar 1778, and Joseph Horner was in October 1809, by due course of law
  evicted from the premises by a title paramount in MARGARET  DE LANCY, of the
  kingdom of Great Britain, therefore, the state treasurer is required to pay
  to Joseph Horner, the sum of $354.88 in full compensation for all damages he
  has sustained, by being evicted, held by him under a title derived from this
  commonwealth.  9 Mar 1814.
  
  58. An act for the relief of JOHN  STENGOR.
  Whereas, JOHN  LATIMORE, on 1 May 1776, purchased of ANDREW  ALLEN, 159 acres
  and 60 perches of land in Allen twp., Northampton county, at the rate of
  $12.00 per acre, 657 pounds, three shillings of consideration money was
  confiscated for the use of the commonwealth and paid into the treasury, and
  as 3/4 of the estate has been vested in John Stengor, from which he was by
  due course of law, in October 1808, evicted by title paramount in Margaret De
  Lancy, of the kingdom of Great Britain, therefore the state treasurer is
  hereby authorized to pay to John Stengor, $151.60 as full compensation for
  all damages he has sustained by being evicted by due course of law from 96
  3/4 acres of land in Allen Twp., Northampton county, held by him under a
  title derived from this commonwealth.  9 Mar 1814.
  
  59. An act for the relief of JOHN  FOGLE.
  Whereas, JOHN  LATIMORE, on 1 May 1776, purchased of ANDREW  ALLEN, 159 acres
  and 60 perches of land in Allen twp., Northampton county, at the rate of
  $12.00 per acre, 657 pounds, three shillings of consideration money was
  confiscated for the use of the commonwealth and paid into the treasury, and
  as 66 acres and 2 perches have since been vested in John Fogle, from which he
  was by due course of law, in October 1808, evicted by title paramount in
  Margaret De Lancy, of the kingdom of Great Britain, therefore the state
  treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to John Fogle, $113.45 as full
  compensation for all damages he has sustained by being evicted by due course
  of law from 66 acres and 2 perches of land in Allen Twp., Northampton county,
  held by him under a title derived from this commonwealth.  9 Mar 1814.
  
  60. An act to annul the marriage of MICHAEL  KAPP JR., and CATHARINE  KAPP,
  his wife.
  Whereas, Michael Kapp has been in the habit of ill treating his wife
  Catharine, and in addition to his abusive conduct towards her, has neglected
  to provide for her support, and has given himself up to an irregular and
  immoral life, therefore, the marriage contract entered into between Michael
  Kapp Jr., and Catharine his wife, of the borough of Harrisburg, is hereby
  declared null and void, and the parties set free from all duties as fully as
  if they had never been joined in marriage.  9 Mar 1814.
  
  61. An act for the relief of the heirs of JAMES  ARMSTRONG, dec.
  That the accountant officers are hereby directed to liquidate and settle the
  value of a new loan certificate of PA, #14865, issued to James Armstrong for
  11 pounds, 19 shillings and 5 pence, and the sum due shall be paid to
  ROBERT  JAMISON, surviving executor of James Armstrong, for the use of his
  heirs.  9 Mar 1814.
  
  66. An act for the relief of persons who furnished provisions for volunteers
  who marched to the relief of the frontiers of the state of Ohio.
  That the accountant department is authorized to settle the accounts of the
  committee who were appointed by the volunteers, who in the month of August,
  1812, marched from the 23rd regiment of the militia of this commonwealth, for
  the defence of the frontiers of the state of Ohio, not to exceed $358.42
  1/2.  That the accountant department be authorized to settle the accounts of
  SAMUEL  POWERS, who was appointed by the volunteers, and to allow Samuel
  Powers, on his producing his accounts to department for settlement, what they
  think just and reasonable for supplying the volunteers with provisions,
  ammunition, baggage waggons, forage and necessaries, not to exceed
  $150.00.  14 Mar 1814.
  
  67. An act releasing to REBECCA  REED the right of this commonwealth to a
  escheated estate.
  That all the right and title that this commonwealth by escheat arising by
  reason of the death of TIMOTHY  REED, late of George's twp., in Fayette
  county, without heirs or kindred to a messuage and tract of land, adjoining
  lands of JAMES  DOWNARD, WILLIAM  MORGAN, WILLIAM  VANCE, and JAMES  FOUTZ,
  containing 52 acres and 151 perches, is hereby released to Rebecca Reed,
  widow of Timothy Reed.  14 Mar 1814.
  
  70. An act releasing to MELSHEY  PATTON the right of this commonwealth to a
  escheated estate.
  That all the right and title that may be in this commonwealth by eschat
  arising by reason of the death of JOHN  PATTON, late of the city of
  Philadelphia, without heirs or kindred, to a messuage or tenement, and lot of
  ground, situate on the west side of Delaware Tenth street said to be granted
  to JOHN  ARMSTRONG, lot #676, is hereby released to Melshey Patton, widow of
  John Patton.  14 Mar 1814.
  
  73. An act for the sale of the residue of the reserve tract of land at the
  mouth of Big Beaver creek.
  That WILLIAM  LEET and JOHN  WOLF SEN., of the county of Beaver, and JAMES 
  DENNIS of the borough of Beaver, are hereby authorized to lay out lots of not
  less then 5 or more then 10 acres each, all the residue of the reserve tract
  at the mouth at the Big Beaver creek, which yet remains the property of the
  commonwealth, and sell them at the court house in the borough of Beaver. 
  14  Mar 1814.
  
  74. An act providing for the payment of a detachment of militia.
  That the detachment of the first brigade of the third division of PA militia,
  which in May last marched to the defence of Elkton in MD., shall be entitled
  to receive the same pay and emoluments for the service, as those called out
  in the act passed 29 Mar 1813, and the accounting officers are hereby
  authorized to settle the accounts of MAJOR GENERAL  STEELE, in relation to
  the detachment.  14 Mar 1814.

  79. An act divorcing JOHN  ROSE, and MARTHA  ROSE, his wife, from the bonds
  of matrimony.
  Whereas it appears that Martha Rose, late MARTHA  TAYLOR, was in the year
  1797, lawfully joined in marriage to John Rose, and that he at a court of
  Quarter sessions, held at Somerset, Somerset county, in February 1812, was
  convicted of the crime of horse stealing, and was sentenced to undergo
  servitude in the penitentiary house of Philadelphia for the term of 5 years,
  where he remains, and it seems proper to grant Martha a divorce, therefore,
  the marriage contract entered into by John Rose and Martha his wife, is
  hereby declared void, and the parties discharged from all duties as if they
  had never been joined in marriage, provided nothing shall be construed to
  render illegitimate any child born of Martha, during her existence of the
  marriage contract.  14 Mar 1814.

  106. An act for the relief of HENRY  SHULER and MATTHIAS  ARMBRUSTER, old
  soldiers.
  That the state treasurer is hereby authorized to pay WILLIAM P.  MACLAY of
  Mifflin county, forty dollars immediately, to be applied to the use of Henry
  Shuler, and an annuity of forty dollars to commence the 1 Jan 1814, to be
  paid half yearly, during his lifetime.
  
  That the state treasurer is hereby directed to pay unto Matthias Armbruster
  of the city of Philadelphia, the sum of forty dollars immediately, and an
  annuity of forty dollars to be paid half yearly during life, to commence on

  107. An act for relief of MARTIN  REILEY.
  Whereas, Martin Reiley of the town of Bedford is owner of a lot #2,
  containing 5 acres and 101 perches adjoining the town, through which a public
  road commonly called the State road has been laid out and opened, that for the
  damages occasioned by the road, Martin Reily has not been able to get any
  compensation, therefore, the court of Bedford county, shall appoint viewers
  to adjudge the amount of damages sustained, and the amount of damages
  assessed shall be paid to Martin Reily.  22 Mar 1814.
  
  108. An act to revive the charter of the Presbyterian church of Harts-Log
  Valley, Huntingdon county.
  That the incorporation of the church is hereby revived and declared to be in
  full force, and JOHN  DEAN, JOHN  CRAWFORD, JOHN  CANAN SEN., CONRAD  BUCHER,
  DAVID  CALDWELL and WILLIAM  STEWART are hereby appointed trustees.  22 Mar
  1814.
  
  111. An act authorizing the state treasurer to pay to JOHN  MEANS.
  Whereas, by act dated 2 Apr 1811, the sum of $1000.00 for the purpose of
  building a bridge over Turtle creek, Allegheny county, where the state road
  crosses, and John Means undertook and completed a bridge of excellent
  workmanship, but having no previous contract for building the bridge is
  unable to draw upon the state treasurer for the money appropriated,
  therefore, the state treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to John Means the
  sum of $1000.00.  25 Mar 1814.
  
  112. An act authorizing a review of the state road from the town of Indiana
  in Indiana county to Pittsburg.
  The clerks of the counties through which the road passes, are hereby
  authorized to receive and file the draft of the road already laid out by
  JOHN  EWING, ISAAC  MOORE and CHARLES  JOHNSTON, commissioners appointed by

  114. An act authorizing the governor to contract with JACOB  ELDER to print
  the laws of this commonwealth.
  That the governor is hereby required to accept the contract with Jacob Elder
  of Harrisburg, printer, for 3000 copies of the laws, corresponding with the
  pamphlet editions of the laws of the state now published by JOHN  BIOREN.

  115. An act declaring creeks public highways.
  That Mahantango creek in Schuylkill county, from the mouth of Pine creek up
  to SAMUEL  KEIM's saw mill, and Pine creek, from AMOS  BUCKAWEW's saw mill,
  in Columbia county, to the main forks above JONATHAN  WESTOVER's saw mill in
  Hunting twp., Luzerne county, and the western branch of the Lachawaxen creek,
  from COLONEL  SEELY's mills to SILAS  KELLOGG's in Mount Pleasant twp., in the
  county of Wayne, and Little Swatara creek in the county Schuylkill, from its
  junction with the big Swatara creek, up the same to JOHN  FIDLER's saw mill,
  and Clearfield creek from the Beaver Dam branch, up to HUGH  GALLAHER's mill
  dam in Cambria county, and Sugar creek in the county of Bradford, from the
  mouth of up the main branch to ______  RICH's mills, are hereby declared

  118. An act authorizing ROSWELL  WELLES and SARAH  HODGE, executors of the
  last will and testament of JEREMIAH  COLEMAN, dec., to make a title for a
  tract of land.
  That Roswell Welles and Sarah Hodge, executors, are hereby authorized as soon
  as AMZA B.  BALDWIN and SUMMERS  BALDWIN shall pay them the fourth part of the
  purchase money, with the interest due for patenting the same, to make and
  execute to them a deed of conveyance for all the estate of Jeremiah Coleman,
  dec., to the fourth part of a lot #40, in the 2nd tier, 5th division of lots

  120. An act to incorporate a company for opening a Lock Navigation on
  Nesbaminy creek in Bucks county from the tideway to Bridgetown.

  124. An act to erect M'Connellsburgh in the county of Bedford, into a borough.
  That the town of M'Connelsburgh is hereby erected into a borough and bounded,
  beginning at a plot adjoining lands of GEORGE  DARRAH, and running east along
  lands of JOHN  COOK, to the eastern corner of the borough adjoining lands now
  in possession of ANTHONY  SHOEMAKER and JAMES  AGNEW, thence along land of
  GEORGE  HOCK, in a southern direction along lands of MARY  M'CONNELL and
  George Darrah, to the beginning, and voters are to meet at the house now

  125. An act to incorporate the York Haven Company.
  Whereas the York Haven Company has formed a limited copartnership for the
  purposes of improving the Conewago Canal in York county, and of establishing
  mills and other water works, etc. therefore, THOMAS WILLING  FRANCIS,
  WILLIAM  COLE, WILLIAM  WILSON, JAMES  WILSON, THOMAS  WILSON, WILLIAM  GWYNN
  (of JOHN  GWYNN), JOSEPH  TOWNSAND, HERMAN HENRY  HACKEMAN, JUSTUS  HOOPE,
  ISAAC  BURNESTON, ROBERT  BARRY, EDWARD  IRELAND, JOHN  HEATHCOTE, WILLIAM 
  M'MECHEN, FREDERICK  WAESHE, JAMES  LABES, JAMES  NELSON, JOHN  DAVIS and
  JOSHUA  STEVENSON, are hereby constituted a body politic and corporate. 
  William Cole, president, Joseph Townsend, John Heathcote, Justice Hoope, John
  Davis and William Gwynn, directors.  That all property etc. in Newberry twp.,
  York county, owned by Thomas Willing Francis of Philadelphia, and which by
  indenture or deed dated 21 Nov 1810, he conveyed to JOHN  WEATHERBURN, Joseph

  127. An act authoring the officers of the land office to dismiss a caveat.
  Whereas the agents of the commonwealth have entered a caveat alleging a claim
  of the state, by virtue of a lien obtained against the estate of JOHN 
  NICHOLSON, to a share in warrants in the new purchase in the name of ROBERT 
  MORRIS, #4070 to 4075, and legal title is now vested in CHARLES  HUSTON of
  the county of Centre, therefore, the land office is hereby authorized to
  dismiss the caveat entered into by the agents of the state as respects the
  six warrants now owned by Charles Huston, in the name of Robert Morris.  28

  130. An act for the relief of revolutionary soldiers.
  That the state treasurer is hereby authorized to pay to MARTIN  BRECHALL of
  Northampton county, forty dollars immediately.
  
  That the state treasurer is hereby required to pay to JOHN  BARR of
  Washington county, forty dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars
  to commence on 1 Jan 1814, and to be paid half yearly.
  
  That all money due shall become due to JOSEPH  JOHNSON, and DANIEL  DOUGHERTY
  of Butler county, old soldiers, by the act passed 10 Mar 1812, shall be paid
  to themselves.
  
  That the state treasurer is hereby required to pay to CHARLES  TIPPER of
  Bedford county, the sum of forty dollars immediately.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  132. An act to enable the executors of WATER  CLARK to convey a piece of
  ground.
  Whereas, Walter Clark, late of Londonderry twp., Dauphin county, dec., did
  sell by parole to SAMUEL  THOMPSON, 3 acres being part of Walter Clark's
  land, at forty dollars per acre, and died not having completed the contract,
  and the full balance has since been paid to JAMES  WILSON and WILLIAM 
  CHTHCART, executors of the last will and testament of Walter Clark,
  therefore, the executors are hereby enabled to convey by deed the 3 acres of
  land.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  133. An act enabling JOHN  FLEMING and THOMAS  BURNSIDE to convey a tract of
  land in Lycoming county.
  Whereas, the legal representatives of John Fleming, late of Lycoming county,
  dec., articled for the sale of a tract of  land, situate on the north side of
  Bald Eagle creek in 1796 to GRIFFITH  CARR and GEORGE  CARR, when possession
  was delivered and part of purchase money paid, and Griffith Carr and George
  Carr have since sold the land to CHARLES  HUSTON and GEORGE  BRESSLER, and
  there is no power to convey the tract, owing to several deaths, and a number
  of the parties are minors, therefore, John Fleming of Lycoming county and
  Thomas Burnside of Centre county, are hereby authorized to convey to Charles
  Huston and George Bressler the tract of land, containing 262 acres, provided
  they pay all money owing.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  134. An act authorizing administrators to complete the titles to lots and
  lands.
  That JACOB  EARLY and WILLIAM  EARLY, administrators of the estate of JOHN 
  EARLY, late of Londonderry twp., Dauphin county, now Lebanon county, are
  hereby authorized to execute a deed of conveyance unto DANIEL  WONDERLICK,
  agreeable to a parole contract made between John Early dec., and Daniel
  Wonderlick, for a lot in the town of Palmyra, Lebanon county, bounded by lots
  of ADAM  DONINGER, CHRISTOPHER  MILLER, Jacob Early and JACOB  KREMER,
  containing 3/4 of an acre.
  
  That DANIEL  MILLER, administrator to the estate of SAMUEL  MILLER, late of
  Mount Pleasant twp., Washington county, dec., is hereby authorized to convey
  to THOMAS  MILLER a tenement and lot situate in the town of Mount Pleasant,

  137. An act to appoint commissioners to lay out a road from the borough of
  Carlisle in Cumberland county to Littleton in Bedford county.
  That the governor is hereby authorized to appoint three commissioners to lay
  out a road beginning at the borough of Carlisle in Cumberland county, through
  Newville and Roxbury, near the house of BENJAMIN  BURD at Littleton in Bedford

  138. An act to enable HARDMAN  PHILIPS to receive certain conveyances, and
  grant and convey certain lands.
  That HARDMAN PHILIPS, Centre county, is hereby authorized to receive from his
  father JOHN  PHILIPS, and from his brothers JOHN LEIGH  PHILIPS and FRANCIS 
  PHILIPS, a deed of conveyence for any lands owned by them in PA, and Hardman
  Philips is hereby authorized to grant, sell and dispose of the lands as fully
  as if he was a citizen of the United States.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  144. An act for the relief of the heirs of JOSEPH  FLORA, dec.
  Whereas, Joseph Flora, formerly of Paxton twp., Lancaster county (now
  Dauphin), by his last will and testament, dated 16 Sep 1783, bequeathed to
  the two children of his son ABRAHAM  FLORA, dec., a part of his estate, which
  amounts to 337 pounds, 6 shillings and 6 pence, that the legatees with their
  mother removed from the state of PA, about 1778, and have never been heard of
  since, that it is not known whether they be living or dead, although diligent
  inquiry has been made during the 36 years which have elapsed, that Joseph
  Flora left 6 other children whose descendants are now numerous and many of
  them poor, therefore, JOHN  WOLFLEY, one of the executors of CONRAD  WOLFLEY,
  who was one of the executors of Joseph Flora, dec., and CHRISTIAN  SPAYD and
  JOHN  M'CAMMON executors of JACOB  WOLFLEY, who was an executor of Conrad
  Wolfley, are hereby authorized to distribute the sum of 337 pounds, 6
  shillings and 6 pence, and interest, which was bequeathed to Jospeh Flora to
  the issue of his son Abraham, as if the issue were now dead, intestate,

  certificates of state debt.
  That the state treasurer is hereby directed to pay unto Robert Neilson of
  Armstrong county, forty dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty dollars

  That the accountant officers are hereby directed to liquidate and settle the
  amount due on a certificate of funded debt, #13,326, issued to ROBERT  M'NITT
  for 10 pounds, 10 shillings, to be paid to Robert M'Nitt.
  
  That the accountant officers are hereby directed to liquidate and settle the
  amount due on a certificate of funded debt, #12,845, issued to WILLIAM 
  WILSON for 10 pounds, 10 shillings, to be paid to THOMAS  M'KINLEY, executor
  of William Wilson, late of York county, dec.
  
  That the auditor general is hereby authorized to receive from MARY ANNA 
  SCOTT, of the town of Bedford, a certificate of funded debt, #12,611, in the
  name of FREDERICK  WOER, for 14 shillings, and a bill of credit #13,338,
  issued 7 Apr 1781, for 50 shillings, and another bill of credit #21,502, for

  146. An act compensating JARED  INGERSOLL for preparing bills.
  That the state treasurer is hereby directed to pay to Jared Ingersoll $200.00
  as a remuneration for the expenses incurred and services rendered by him in
  preparing 3 bills consolidating and amending the penal laws of

  147. An act to authorize the executors of JOHN  HAWK, dec., to convey a tract
  of land in East Pennsborough twp., Cumberland county.
  Whereas, the petition of MAGDALENA  HAWK, executrix, and MARTIN  RENNINGER,
  executor of the last will and testament of John Hawk, dec., that a certain
  GEORGE  GRAHAM conveyed a tract of land to JOHN  ORR, now dec., although it
  was intended by both parties that the use should still remain in the grantor,
  and that John Orr conveyed the whole of the land to the above testator and
  George Hawk, who afterwards divided it between them, when in fact it was
  expressly agreed that 33 acres and 53 perches should be reserved out of the
  part of the land which fell to the testator, to John Orr in trust, for the
  use of George Graham, and the reserved land was never in possession of the
  testator, but held by the trustee, therefore, Magdalena Hawk and Martin

  148. An act to authorize the accountant officers to open their accounts with
  WILLIAM  HENDERSON, late treasurer of Montgomery county.
  Whereas, William Henderson was appointed treasurer of the county of
  Montgomery, for the years 1801/02/03, and on the final settlement of his
  accounts, found that several returns made by the commissioners of the exempts
  were $1170.19 more than he actually received from the collectors and he is now
  barred by the act of limitation to obtain redress therefore, it shall be

  157. An act for the relief of ELEANOR  HOFFMAN.
  Whereas HENRY  HOFFMAN, dec., of the county of Westmoreland, by his last will
  and testament did devise unto his wife Eleanor, amongst other things the use
  of 49 acres during her natural life, and at her decease directed it to be
  sold and the proceeds to be paid out for the erection a Dutch Lutheran
  church, and Eleanor, from necessity, expended in improving the premises and
  other unavoidable expenses, all her share of the personal estate, and that
  she is now old and infirm, and the proceeds of the land are no wise adequate
  to her maintenance, and that money bequeathed for building the church is
  still in the hands of the executors uncalled for, therefore, the interest on
  any money bequeathed for the building of a Dutch Lutheran church, by Henry

  158. An act for the relief of purchasers of lands in Wayne county, late the
  property of HENRIETTA LAURA  PULTNEEY.
  Whereas, SIR WILLIAM  PULTNEEY, late of the city of London, in the United
  Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, being seized of tracts of land situated
  in Wayne county, PA., died intestate, leaving Henrietta Laura Pulteney, his
  only child, and heiress at law, to whom the tracts descended, and Henrietta
  lately died in the city of London, intestate, and without issue, thus the
  tracts descended to SIR JOHN LOWTHER  JOHNSTON, and many others being the
  collateral relations of Henrietta, and some reside in England, Scotland, the
  continent of Europe, the East, and the West Indies, and some are minors and
  others non compos mentis, which made it impracticable for the agent ROBETT 
  TROUP, a citizen of the state of New York, to convey the tracts, he had sold,
  therefore now acting as an agent for Sir John Lowther Johnston, he is hereby
  authorized to execute deeds in his own name, for conveying to the purchasers,
  land in Wayne county, to persons residing in the United States, and all money
  received by him in trust, shall be for the heirs of Henrietta Laura

  163. An act for the establishment and regulation of election districts.
  That the electors of Kingessing and Blockley twps., Philadelphia county,
  shall hold their elections at the house now occupied by GEORGE C.  LINTENER,
  on the West Chester road.
  
  That Lower Salford and Franconia twp., Montgomery county, shall be a separate
  election district, and the electors shall hold their elections at the house
  now occupied by GEORGE  SCHWENCK, inn-keeper in Lower Salford twp.

  and the electors shall hold their elections at the house now occupied by
  JAMES  RODGERS, inn-keeper.
  
  That the electors of Braintrim and Rush twps., south of Choconet twp.,
  Susquehanna county, shall be a separate election district, and shall hold
  their elections at the house now occupied by JOAB  PICKET, in Rush twp.
  
  That the electors of Greenfield twp., Bedford coumty, shall hold thier
  elections at the house now occupied by JACOB  GLASS.
  
  That Oley twp., Berks county, shall be a separate election district, and
  electors shall hold their elections at the house now occupied by JACOB  KEMP.
  
  That the electors of 8th or Manor election district, Chester county, shall
  hold their elections at the house now occupied by JACOB  HOWER, inn-keeper,

  That Salisbury twp., Lancaster county, shall be a separate election district
  and the electors shall hold their elections at the house now occupied by
  BARTON  HENDERSON.
  
  That the electors of Donegal twp., Lancaster county, 10th election district,
  shall hold their elections at the house of JACOB  BARR, inn-keeper, in the
  village of Maytown.
  
  That part of Chilisquaque twp., Columbia county, west of the creek and
  including the farm late of WILLIAM  WILSON, dec., to the Chilisquaque bridge
  near the former residence of WILLIAM  MURRAY, dec., to the meeting house is
  hereby attached to the 8th election district.
  
  That part of Elizabeth, Cocalico and Warwick twps., formerly in Lancaster
  county, now in Lebanon county, shall form part of the election district of
  Lebanon county, and the electors shall hold their elections at the house
  occupied by SAMEUEL  REX, and the part of Rapho twp., in Lebanon county,
  shall be part of the electors who hold their elections at the house now
  occupied by ABRAHAM  DOEBLER, and the part of Mountjoy, twp., now in Lebanon
  county, shall form part of the district that hold their elections at the
  house occupied by CASPER  DASHER.
  
  That the elections for Sadsbury twp., Crawford county, shall be held at the
  dwelling house of DAVID  BRACKENRIDGE.
  
  That the electors of Fayette twp., Allegheny county, shall hold their
  elections at the house of MATTHEW  M'COY, in Noblestown.
  
  That upper and lower Nazareth twps., Northampton county, are hereby erected
  into a separate election district, and the electors shall hold their
  elections at the house of HENRY  JARRETT, at Jarrett's villa, in Lower
  Nazareth twp.
  
  That Towamensing twp., Northampton county, is hereby erected into a separate
  election district and the electors shall hold their elections at the house of
  HENRY  BOMAN.
  
  That Union twp., Luzerne county, shall be a separate election district and
  the electors shall hold their elections at the house now occupied by JOHN
  T.  MILLER.
  
  That Clifford twp., Susquehanna county, shall be a separate election
  district, and the electors shall hold their elections at the house now
  occupied by JAMES  WELLS.
  
  That Pike twp., Bradford county, shall be a separate election district, and
  the electors shall hold their elections at the house now occupied by JESSE 
  ROSS.
  
  That the electors of part of Stoney Creek twp., in Somerset county, who held
  their elections at Shade Furnace, shall hold their elections at the house now
  occupied by ANDREW  PORCUPINE.
  
  That the inhabitants of part of Centre twp., Indiana county, north of the
  line of Armstrong twp., by the house of JAMES  M'CLENAHAN, DANIEL  M'KISSICK
  and DAVID  CUMMINS, to Wheatfield twp., shall hold their elections at the

  166. An act vesting the title of a piece of land in Toboyne twp., Cumberland
  county, in certain trustees, for the use of a school.
  That the land office is hereby authorized to issue a warrant and complete a
  title for a piece of land adjoining lands of JOHN  FLETCHER, JOHN  ERNEST,
  and others containing 10 acres, being the same unto DANIEL  BLOOM, JOHN 
  GARBER and JOHN  FLEICHER, of Cumberland county, in trust, for the sole use
  of schools already established.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  167. An act to incorporate a company for making a road from the river
  Susquehanna, at M'Call's ferry permanent bridge, on the state road, by
  NATHAN  THOMPSON JR., and WILLIAM  NOBLE's store, to JOHN G.  PARKS, thence
  to the Philadelphia and Lancaster turnpike, between the 37th and 38th mile
  stone, on the road.
  That NATHANIEL  WATSON, JOHN  GRAFF, WILLIAM  RAMSEY, John G. Parks, JOSEPH 
  CLOUD, and WILLIAM  FLEMING, tanner, of Chester county, are hereby appointed
  commissioners.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  168. An act to remedy defects in the title to lots of land belonging to
  Chester Monthly Meeting, in Delaware county.
  Whereas the members of the religious society called Quakers, have held two
  lots in Nether Providence twp., since 1726 and one lot in Upper Providence
  twp., since 1717, containing in all 3 acres, for the purposes of meeting
  houses and graveyards, by several deeds in trust, and the persons named in
  the deeds are deceased, and no other trustees did receive conveyances,
  whereby the title is defective, therefore, all rights, title and claim to the
  three lots are hereby vested in GEORGE  MILLER, of Upper Providence twp.,
  JOSEPH  PENNEL JR., and JAMES  EMLIN, of Middletown twp., ENOS  SHARPLESS,
  and ELI D.  PEIRCE, of Nether Providence twp., and JOSEPH  RHOADS, of Marple
  twp.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  169. An act for the relief of JAMES  WOODBURN.
  Whereas, James Woodburn of Cumberland county, purchased a tract of unseated
  land in Mifflin twp., at treasurer's sale, taxed in the name of DANIEL 
  BOYLE, as original warrantee, and he paid the purchase price, and it appears
  that the owner of the land at the time of sale, has since come forward and
  received the purchase money, after taxes and cost of sale were deducted, and
  the time which the treasurer could serve expired before he acknowledged the
  deed for the land, therefore, the present treasurer is herby required to
  make, execute and deliver a deed to James Woodburn.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  170. An act to incorporate the Gettysburg Steam Mill and Manufacturing
  Company.
  That persons in the borough of Gettysburg, Adams county, for the purpose of
  erecting steam machinery for the making of flour and other manufactures are
  hereby created on body politic and corporate, provided that MATHEW  LONGWELL,
  WALTER  SMITH, GEORGE  SMYSER, SAMUEL  SLOAN, MATHEW  DOBBIN, JOHN F. 
  M'FARLAND the present president and directors shall continue in office.  28

  171. An act authorizing the trustees of the German reformed church of
  Heidleberg twp., in Lebanon county, formerly Dauphin to sell and convey
  certain land.
  That the trustees are hereby authorized to sell and convey 3 acres of a tract
  of land containing in the whole 180 acres, adjoining lands of ABRAHAM 
  ANDREAS, JOHN  DEIFENBACH, and PETER  MUSSELMAN.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  172. An act to incorporate Stroudsburg Academy in the village of Stroudsburg,
  Northampton.
  That the trustees are, DANIEL  STROUD, SAMUEL  REES, JACOB  POSTENS, JACOB 
  BROWN, WILLIAN  VAN BUSKIRK, WILLIAM D.  WALTON, ASA  HERRING, JOHN  ALLABACH
  and JAMES  HOLLINGSHEAD, and the trustees shall hold their first meeting at
  the house of GEORGE  DROEER, in the village of Stroudsburg.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  173. An act to incorporate a company for erecting a bridge over the river
  Delaware, near the town of Milford, Wayne county.
  That SIMON  CORURIGHT, DANIEL  STEWART, JOHN  GUSTIN, and ISRAEL  CAUFIELD,
  of the county of Sussex, New Jersey, and JOHN  BROADHEAD, JOHN  BRINK, DAN 
  DIMMICK, JOHN  CROSS, and JAMES  WALLACE of Wayne county, PA, are hereby
  appointed commissioners.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  174. An act enabling ANDREW  OLIPHANT, guardian of WILLIAM  SMITH, a lunatic,
  to sell and convey real estate.
  Whereas, William Smith, by virtue of process from the court of common pleas,
  of Fayette county, has been reported to the court to be non compos mentis,
  and Andrew Oliphant has been appointed guardian by the court, and as William
  Smith by inheritance is entitled to the undivided half of real estate in
  Fayette county, (reserving to SARAH  SMITH, widow of  WILLIAM AUGUSTUS SMITH,
  dec., her right of dower), and it is the desire of ESTHER  GRIFFIN, sister of
  William Smith, intermarried with SAMUEL  GRIFFIN, to sell her interest in
  part of the real estate of William Augustus Smith, dec. as lies within the
  commonwealth of PA, therefore, it shall be lawful for Andrew Oliphant,
  guardian, to sell and convey all real estate, lying in the commonwealth of
  PA. and convey to the purchaser a deed, and the money remaining after paying
  debts of William Smith, to be used for the benefit of William Smith.  28 Mar
  1814.
  
  176. An act authorizing SAMUEL  GRAVES, guardian of the minor children of
  JOHN  BREWER, dec., to sell and convey a lot.
  Whereas, Samuel Graves was appointed by the court of Bedford county, guardian
  of 5 minor children of John Brewer, dec., JONATHAN  BREWER, SARAH  BREWER,
  WILLIAM  BREWER, JOHN  BREWER JR., and ABIGAIL  BREWER, all of Bethel twp.,
  Bedford county, and that John Brewer died intestate seized of 1/10 part of
  250 acres, lying in Bethal twp., HENRY  BREWER being in possession of the
  other part, and not being productive, therefore, Samuel Graves, guardian is
  hereby authorized to sell and convey the undivided part of the messuage and
  tract of land adjoining CHRISTIAN  WALTZ, BETHUEL  COVALT and JACOB  MANN,
  containing 250 acres and apply the money to the best interest of the
  children.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  177. An act to authorize the sale of real estate of the late HENRY  BRUSTAR,
  of the Northern Liberties, Philadelphia, dec.
  Whereas, Henry Brustar, dec., by his last will and testament devised to his
  wife, CATHARINE  BRUSTAR, one full third part of his real estate, during her
  natural life, and he did direct all his estate was to be kept whole and
  entire, for the term of 70 years from the day of his decease, providing that
  all rents, issues, income and profits should annually divided among his eight
  children, in equal parts, to wit, MARY ANN  STOY, wife of PETER  STOY, SARAH 
  BATTISS wife of ELIJAH  BATTISS, ELIZABETH  BENNETT, wife of DANIEL  BENNETT,
  JAMES  BRUSTAR, SUSANNA  BRUSTAR, MERZA  BRUSTAR and PHOEBE  BRUSHTAR, and his
  grandson, Henry Brustar, son of his deceased son, JOHN  BRUSTAR, and lawful
  issue of the children and grandchild, and after 70 years the estates shall
  vest in the children and grandchild, but the widow is now without means of
  support, and receiving aid from the guardians of the poor and the minor
  grandchldren are without means of education and support, therefore, JOHN 
  CLUNN, of the county of Philadelphia, administrator, are hereby authorized to
  cause to be sold all the real estates and interests and convey to the
  purchasers good deeds, and the proceeds shall be distributed as follows, 2/3
  to the legal heirs, and the remaining 1/3 to be held by John Clunn, to pay
  the interest during her lifetime to Catharine Brustar, and at her death, to
  distribute the same among the legal heirs.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  179. An act relating to lands in Claverack twp., late in the county of
  Luzerne, now in the county of Bradford.
  That the judges of the supreme court, shall meet at the court house in the
  borough of Harrisburg, and determine the legality of certain certificates
  granted to JOHN  SHEPARD and BENJAMIN  DORRANCE, and their right to 12,328
  acres of land, one of the seventeen twps.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  181. An act confirming the title of WILLIAM  PURVIS and ROBERT  PERVIS,
  aliens, to lands and a house and lot.
  That William Purvis and Robert Purvis of Cumberland county, aliens, are
  hereby authorized to sell and convey a tract of land in Southampton twp.,
  containing about 118 acres, now held by them, and also a house and lot in
  Shippensburg, as fully as if they had been at the time of acquiring the same
  citizens of the United States. 28 Mar 1814.
  
  182. An act providing for the settlement of sundry accounts for military
  expenditures.
  That the state treasurer is hereby directed to pay to GEORGE  RAWLS, $48.10
  in full on demand, for provisions furnished to the detachment of the militia
  under BRIGADIER GENERAL  CROOKS.
  
  That JACOB  BUCHER, one of the commissioners to superintend the erection of
  public buildings, is authorized to sell such of the materials, tools an
  implements left about the buildings judged to be perishable or proper to be
  disposed of, and pay the money into the state treasury.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  183. An act making compensation to the heirs of DANIEL  BRODHEAD, dec., for
  certain lands valued and certified to Connecticut claimants, in the county of
  Luzerne.
  Whereas, Daniel Brodhead, dec., is early in 1795 procure a title under 17
  warrants, dated 1794, for 6240 acres, 121 perches of land situate in
  Plymouth, Kingston and Exeter twps., in Luzerne county, and the state has
  received the full amount of the purchase money for the lands, therefore, the
  treasurer is hereby directed to pay out to the exector of Daniel Brodhead,
  dec., the sum of $1639.72 for the use of the heirs, provided that the
  executor release to the commonwealth all the right and title the deceased had
  in his life time.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  184. An act to prohibit the sale of land for taxes, the property of the
  commonwealth, on which the state has a lien.
  It shall not be lawful for the commissioners in any county to sell for taxes,
  within two years, any land, late the property of JOHN  NICHOLSON, which was
  purchased for the use of the commonwealth, or any lands of PETER  BAYNTON,
  upon which the state has a lien.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  185. An act for the relief of old soldiers.
  That state treasurer is hereby directed to pay unto TIMOTHY  O'NEAL of
  Indiana county, the sum of forty dollars immediately, and an annuity of forty
  dollars to be paid half yearly during life.
  
  That the state treasurer is hereby required to pay to THOMAS  BRODNOX and
  JOHN  MURPHY, both of Bucks county, and to PHILIP  KENNEDY of Centre county,
  the sum of forty dollars each, immediately.
  
  That the state treasurer is hereby required to pay unto PETER  SMITH, late a
  lieutenant in the revolutionary war, the sum of eighty dollars immediately,
  and an annuity of eighty dollars, to commence on 1 Jan 1814, to be paid half
  yearly during his life.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  186. An act to incorporate a company to erect a toll bridge over Juniata
  river, near Millerstown, Cumberland county.
  That THOMAS  COCHRAN, CALEB  NORTH, WILLIAM  POWER, DAVID  WATTS, WILLIAM 
  RAMSAY of Cumberland county, JOHN  MAGORY, WILLIAM  BELL, DAVID  WALKER,
  JOHN  BROWN, WILLIAM P.  MACLAY, ELIAS W.  HALE of Mifflin county, ROBERT
  T.  STEWART, JOSEPH  PATTON JR., of Centre county, ROBERT  ALLISON, WILLIAM 
  STEEL of Huntingdon county, are hereby appointed commissioners.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  187. A supplement to the act incorporating the company of the Anderson's
  ferry and York turnpike road.
  That HENRY  SHARE, GEORGE  SNYDER, JAMES  MEHAFFEY, JACOB  GRAYBILL and
  THOMAS R.  BUCHANON of Lancaster county, and JOHN  MILLER, JOHN  SULTZBAUGH,
  GEORGE  UPP and GEORGE  SPANGLER, (surveyor) of the county of York, are
  hereby appointed additional commissioners, and are hereby authorized to
  change the route to intersect the Susquehanna and York borough turnpike.  28

  188. An act to authorize ABRAHAM  BROUSE and JACOB  HARMAN to sell a tract of
  land.
  Whereas, a tract of land in Penn twp., Union county, containing 100 acres and
  7 perches was granted by patent dated 20 Aug 1813 to Abraham Brouse and Jacob
  Harman in trust for the United Congregation of German Lutheran and Calvinists
  worshipping at Hessler's church, which tract is unproductive, and the
  congregation for want of funds are unable to complete their church and school
  house, therefore, Abraham Brouse and Jacob Harman, trustees are hereby
  authorized to sell an part expedient of the tract adjoining lands of SIMON 
  ESPY, MICHAEL  HESSLER, MARTIN  MICHAEL and JOHN  REEM, granted to Abraham
  Brouse and Jacob Harman in trust.  28 Mar 1814.
  
  192. A Maryland act.
  Act passed in Annapolis MD. 6 Dec 1813 to make a road from the Philadelphia
  and Lancaster turnpike road through the village of Strasburg in Lancaster
  county to the Susquehanna bridge at M'Call's ferry, thence to Baltimore. 
  That ELISTON  PERROT, PAUL  BECK, WILLIAM  SANSOM, JACOB  DOWNING, WILLIAM 
  DAVIDSON, and JAMES  TAYLOR of the city of Philadelphia, EDWARD  BRIEN,
  JOHN  NEFF, NATHANIEL W.  SAMPLE, RUDOLPH  KEGEY, of the county of Lancaster,
  PA., and GENERAL CHARLES  RIDGLEY of  Hampton, BENJAMIN  ELLICOTT, JAMES 
  CARROLL, LUKE  TIERNAN, HENRY  PAYSAN, WILLIAM  WILSON, JOHN  M'KIM JR.,
  ROBERT  MILLER, JAMES  CAREY and CHARLES  JESSOP, of the city of Baltimore,
  MD., are hereby appointed commissioners.    Passed in Pa. 20 Jan 1814 by the
  house, and 24 Jan 1814  by the senate.
  
  
  RESOLUTIONS
  
  3. The legislature of PA believing that the gratitude and applause of a free
  people, are the most acceptable and honourable rewards of great and glorious
  actions, do in the name of the people of this state, hereby express the high
  sense which they entertain of the character and consequences of the victory,
  achieved on 10 Sep last, on Lake Erie, by the American fleet under the
  command of O.H.  PERRY, over a British fleet, of superior force, commanded by
  CAPTAIN  BARCLAY, a victory, not more distinguished by the bravery and skill
  displayed in the achievement, than by the clemency with which it was followed
  on the part of the illustrious conqueror, therefore, the governor is hereby
  requested to convey the thanks of the government of this commonwealth to
  CAPTAIN OLIVER HAZARD  PERRY, for the brilliant action in which he succeeded
  in capturing his Britannic majesty's fleet on Lake Erie, and otherwise to
  procure for and present to him, in compliment of the said victory, a Gold
  Medal of fine workmanship, emblematically finished with the flag of our
  county, and noting him as commander in chief, with such other devices as the
  governor shall direct.
  
  That the governor is hereby requested to convey the thanks of the government
  of this commonwealth to MASTER COMMANDANT JESSE DUNCAN  ELLIOTT and
  LIEUTENANT JOHN F.  YARNALL, for their gallant and brave conduct, and the
  able assistance they gave to their commander in the said engagement, and that
  he likewise procure for, and present to each of them in compliment of the said
  victory, a Gold Medal of fine workmanship, emblematically finished in such
  manner as the governor shall direct.
  
  That the governor is hereby requested to convey the thanks of the government
  of this commonwealth to those citizens of PA, who nobly and gallantly
  volunteered on board of the American squadron on Lake Erie, and that he
  likewise procure and present to each of them, in compliment of their
  patriotism and bravery, a Silver Medal of the weight of two dollars, with
  each person's name theron. emblematically finished in such manner as the
