LIMA
  Robert H. Joyce, 88, died at 6:15 a.m. July 6, 2005, at his residence.
  He was born October 3, 1916 to Patrick Henry Joyce and Julia Anna Ertman 
Joyce, who preceded him in death. On February 12, 1949, he married Arleen 
Keller, who survives.
  Mr. Joyce was employed in various positions at Standard Oil from 1935-1980, 
and stayed on as a consultant until 2004. He worked on the Alaska Pipe Line 
from 1976-1978, and was a part time patrolman in Fort Shawnee from 1969-1978. 
He was a member of Shawnee United Methodist Church, its building committee and 
the pastor parish committee. He was a former member of Belle Center United 
Methodist Church, where he served on many committees.
  Bob was a member of Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge 54, 
the Clarc Radio Club, the NOARC Radio Club, Air Force MARS, the American Red 
Cross Cuyahoga County mobile unit, and was an instructor and chairman of the 
Disaster Action Team at the Allen County Red Cross, where he received the 
Frances Miller Award in May 1995. He was an instructor and delivered meals on 
wheels for the Logan County Red Cross and was a multi-gallon blood donor, a 
member of the Cleveland Section Instrument Society of America, where he was an 
officer for many years, a member of the AMA, the Lima HOG motorcycle group. He 
was a sky warn storm spotter, a member of the Ohio National Guard, and 
attended Cleveland Fenn University.
  Survivors include three sons, Robert W. (Mary Jane) Joyce of Marblehead; 
Michael Joyce and Paul R. (Diana) Joyce, both of Lima; and 14 grandchildren.
  He was preceded in death by three daughters, Arlene Morris, Judy Bella, and 
infant daughter Amy Louise; an infant son, John Robert; and four brothers, 
Lawrence, Harry, Ray, and Art Joyce.
  Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Shawnee United Methodist Church. 
The Revs. Bryan Bucher and Charlotte Hefner will officiate. A private burial 
will be at a later date at Maple Shade Cemetery, Independence,OH.
