"GEORGE A. DORENKOTT (SR)
"Twenty-nine years after he began working for the old Brooks Co.
sweeping floors, George A. Dorenkott became the legal ptinting firm's
President. About 1960 Brooks was merged with another printing firm to
become Judson-Brooks Co. and Mr. Dorenkott became secretary-treasurer.
He retired in 1971 and died Monday at the Manor Care nursing home in
Lakewood after a series of strokes that began last year. He was 79.
Services will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Mark Catholic Church, 15800
Montrose Ave. Mr. Dorenkott was past president of the Printers
Association of Cleveland and a member of the Rotary Club of Cleveland
and the old Cleveland Chamber of Commerce. He belonged to St. Mark Holy
Name Society. He was born in Cleveland and graduated from St. Stephen
High School. Surviving are sons, George Jr., Kenneth, Howard, Allen,
Michael and David; daughters Marguerite Sines of Edgewood, Md., Brenda
Buehner, Doreen of Atlanta and Martha Dmitrik, and 21 grandchildren. His
