Pardoned 18 JUL 1866, in view of the admitted fact, that there was great provocation to the prisoner before committing the assult for which he was convicted; that he was upon his own premises where the prosecuting witness was exciting a disturbance; and also in consideration of his having served faithfully, and recieved seven wounds, in the army during the rebellion.
