Mrs. Brunson
The funeral service of Clara Turk Brunson, 71, of 918 Sixth Ave., who
died Thursday, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church
with interment in Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Pitts, Mrs. Brunson had resided here since 1940 and had
retired in 1975 after 28 years with civil service. She was a former
Exchangette of the Downtown Exchange Club and a member of First Baptist Church
and the Lydia Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her husband, W. Fred Brunson of Albany; a son, William
F. Brunson Jr. of Brunswick; three brothers, D. B. Turk [sic; should be D. E.]
of Abbeville, Emerson Turk of Pitts and Clifton Turk of Perry; two sisters,
Sarah Maynard of Clarksville, Tenn., and Ellen Elkins of Forsyth; and three
grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made ot the First Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. today at
Kimbrell-Stern Funeral Directors.

Clara was born on 20 October 1919 in Pitts, Wilcox Co., GA, the daughter of
Charles Baxter Turk and Nancy Elizabeth (Moore) Turk. She married William
Fredrick Brunson on 12 January 1946 in Albany, Dougherty Co., GA.
