A native of Albany, Miss Hall, the daughter of the late George T. and Susie

Collins, pioneering families of Mitchell County, was born on March 1, 1907. She
attended Albany schools, graduating from Albany High School in 1924. She

Round-Ups. Representing the National Headquarters, she went to Japan and India
as a program director aiding them with their camping program. Upon returning to
the states and wanting to return to a local council, she accepted the job as
program director of the Cleveland GS Council and remained there until her
retirement in 1972. However, not being satisfied with remaining a retiree, in

Board of the YWCA to plan and direct a seminar for outstanding women serving
in executive positions around the world. Her last job was again with the Girl
Scouts at their National Conference in Washington, D.C. in the 80’s. She was
responsible for the opening ceremony at the foot of the Washington Monument,
thus ending her Girl Scout career where she had started it in 1935 in Washington, D.C.
During her career Miss Hall traveled extensively and received many awards
and honors for her work. In 1972, she moved to the Goodwin House, Alexandria, Va.,
