Date of Death: October 27, 2004  

Mrs. Dena Harrison Walden, 73, 4228 Nichols St, died Wednesday at her 
residence. The funeral service will be Saturday 2 PM at First Baptist Church of 
Putney with interment in Crown Hill Cemetery. Dr. David Benton and Rev. Henry 
W. Chapman officiating. A native of Blakey, Mrs. Walden had lived in Albany of 
the past 52 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Putney where she 
taught Sunday School for 35 years. She retired from J C Penny after over 20 
years and was a volunteer at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. 

Mrs. Walden was preceded in death by her husband James R. Walden and a son 
Steve Walden. Survivors include her daughters Brenda Hinson and her husband 
Ronnie, Diane Sauls and her husband don of Phenix City, AL, sons Randy Walden 
and his wife Donna, Albany, Gary Pope, Valdosta, a sister Gloria Framer, 
Wauchula, FL, grandchildren, Jamie Hinson, Jennifer Hinson, Laurie Forbes, 
Barbie Charles, Kala Kincheloe, Jan Pope and 6 great grandchildren. Those
