Kimbrell Stern - January 20, 2007
A native of Jacksonville, FL, Mr. Norman lived in Atlanta for many years moving 
to Albany in 1960. He was a member of Porterfield Memorial United Methodist 
Church and the So Jouners Sunday School Class, a past member of the Albany 
Lions Club and a member of the Golden “K”. He was a graduate of Georgia State 
University and retired from Southern Bell in 1973 where he was the district 
engineering manager. He was also a retired Colonel from the US Army Reserves 
and had served in the European Theater darning World War II. He enjoyed 
building and working with wood and was loved by all. Survivors include his wife 
of 64years, Martha “Bobbie” Norman, a son; Steven Edward Norman and his wife 
Rhonda N. of Bluffton, SC, a daughter; Janet Norman Wolf and her husband M. 
Elton of Marietta, three grandchildren; Melanie Norman Britt and her husband 
Mike of Charlottesville, VA, Betsy Wolf Bosley and her husband Jay of Athens, 
GA, Justin N. Wolf of Marietta, a great-grandson; Hudson Wolf Bosley, his 
sister; Eleanor J. Thiesen of Atlanta and a brother; James M. Johnston and his 
wife Connie of Dunwoody, GA and many nieces and nephews. Those desiring may 
make memorials to Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church, 2200 Dawson 
Road, Albany, GA 31707. 

A funeral service will be held 2 PM Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007 at Porterfield 
Memorial United Methodist Church with visitation to follow in the church parlor 
after the service. Rev. Nathan Godley and Rev. Nancy Scarbrough will officiate. 
A private entombment will be held at a later date.
