Frank Deming

ALBANY — Frank Deming, 51, of Treeline Lane died Tuesday, October 29, 2002, at 
Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA, following a brief illness.

The funeral service will be Thursday, 2 P.M. at Porterfield Memorial United 
Methodist Church with interment in Crown Hill Cemetery at Albany, GA. The Rev. 
Nathan Godley and the Rev. Nancy Scarbrough will officiate.

A graduate of Valdosta High School, Florida State University and The Stonier 
School of Banking, Rutgers University, Mr. Deming had lived in Albany for the 
past 28 years. He was a financial planner for Merrill Lynch at the time of his 
death. Active in community affairs, Mr. Deming was a member of the Dougherty 
County Rotary Club, Leadership Albany and worked with the American Heart 
Association. Mr. Deming served on the Deerfield-Windsor Board of Trustees, 
which he chaired in 1999, as well as the Albany Sports Hall of Fame Board of 
Directors.

A member of Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church, Mr. Deming served on 
the Pastor-Parish Committee, the Administrative Board and the Finance 
Committee, which he formerly chaired. He was also a member of the Seekers 
Sunday School Class and a former member of the Board of Trustees.

Mr. Deming's father is the late Lionel E. Deming.

Survivors include his wife, Harriette Cooper Deming of Albany; son, Zack 
Cameron Deming of Athens; daughter, Meredith McCree Deming of Athens; mother, 
Caroline T. Deming of Valdosta; sister, Kay Deming of Atlanta.
