Delayed Birth Certificate (#22096), filed 9 Oct 1943, states he was born
near Franklin, 4 May 1903, according to the Family Bible. His sister
Dorothy was the notary public who attested to the physican's signature.

Curiously, he does not appear in the 1920 Census. The family has not been
found in the 1910 Census. George hasn't been found in 1930 or '40, either.
