Lozzie Byrd Is Dead af 71 

  HOLLAND - Lozzie Byrd, 71, of Route 2, Holland, died today at 9:40 a.m. at 
his home after a long illness. 

  Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Hill Funeral Home 
by the Rev. Carl Dollar, pastor of Holland Christian Church.  Burial will be 
in the family cemetery near Holland. 

  He was a member of the Holland Christian Church and was the son of the late 
Oliver Byrd and Mrs. Lucy Jane Holland Byrd of Nansemond County. 

  He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Clara Holland Byrd of the home, and several 
nieces and nephews.
