   Marcia L. Smith
   Marcia  Leslee  Smith  died  Saturday, Aug. 26, 2000, at the Palo Alto
   home  of  her eldest son. She was born in Monte Vista, Colo. on May 6,
   1928, to the late Leslie and Isabelle Dunnells. She was 72.
   She  had lived in Davis since 1989. She graduated from UC Berkeley and
   went on to teach kindergarten for 20 years at Gomes School in Fremont.
   As a teacher, she impacted many lives.
   She  had  many  hobbies including traveling to destinations around the
   world and spending time with her cats.
   She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, in 1969, and her son
   Alan  Jon  Smith,  in  1991.  She  is survived by three sons, Marshall
   Joseph  Smith and wife Cathy of Palo Alto; Stuart Wayne Smith and wife
   Debbie  of  Jackson;  and  Steven  Lyle  Smith and his wife of Austin,
   Texas.  She  is  also survived by her sister, Vera AIlson. She is also
   survived by eight grandchildren, whom she loved very much.
   A  private graveside service will be held Thursday. Friends may attend
   a  memorial  service  at  1  p.m.  on  Wednesday  at  the Davis United
   Methodist  Church,  1620  Anderson Road. Donations may be made in Mrs.
   Smith's name to the cancer charity of the donor's choice.
