   Sylvia Day Fogerson
   
   SILVERTON  - Sylvia Day Fogerson, 86, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, in
   Lockney.
   
   Services  will  be  at 3 p.m. today in Silverton Church of Christ with
   Ted  Kingery,  retired minister, and J.D. Nance, part-time minister of
   Rock  Creek Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will be in Silverton
   Cemetery by Myers-Long Funeral Home.
   
   Mrs.  Fogerson  was born Oct. 25, 1916, in Matador. She graduated from
   Matador  High  School  in  1935, and received her beautician's license
   from  beauty  school  in  Wichita  Falls.  She  moved to Silverton and
   married  Ware  Fogerson  in 1936. She worked with her husband in their
   business, Fogerson Lumber and Supply in Silverton for many years. Mrs.
   Fogerson moved to Lockney Care Center in May 1999.
   
   She was preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Tose Day; her son,
   Victor  Fogerson  in  1953;  her  husband  in 1985; her granddaughter,
   Kristy  Fogerson  Dorman  in  2002;  her mother-in-law, Florence "Maw"
   Fogerson, who lived with them for almost 40 years.
   
   Survivors  include  a  daughter,  Diane Mayfield and husband, Jack, of
   Silverton;  a  son,  Stanley  Fogerson  and  wife,  Lynda, of Anson; a
   brother,  E.A.  Day and wife, Dorothy, of Matador; two granddaughters,
   Elana  Mayfield  Krueger  and  husband,  Christian,  of  Ladera Ranch,
   Calif.,  and  Penni  Bentley  and  husband, Chad, of Amarillo; and two
   great-granddaughters, Chase Bentley and Grace Bentley.
   
   The family suggests memorials be to Kristy Fogerson Dorman Scholarship
   Fund of Silverton High School; or a favorite charity.

   QUANAH - William Floyd Gregory Jr., 89, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003.
   
   Services  will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Smith Funeral Home Chapel with
   the  Rev.  Jesse  Dea  officiating.  Burial will be in Quanah Memorial
   Park.
   
   Mr. Gregory was born Jan. 26, 1914, in Floyd County. He married Lorean
   Lane Mills on Oct. 19, 1973.
   
   Survivors  include  his wife; two daughters, Mary White of Lubbock and
   Nancy  Gregory  of  Orange,  Calif.;  a stepson, Bob Mills of Oklahoma
   City; a brother, Lyman Gregory of Shreveport, La.; four grandchildren;
   and three great-grandchildren.

   Q.D.  Bevill  of  Bethel Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in
   Plainview Memorial Park.
   
   Mr. Jackson was born March 16, 1951, in Hale Center.
   
   Survivors  include  his wife, Vicky Flannery of Arlington; a daughter,
   Dana Kennedy of Amarillo; a son, Shannon Jackson of Flomot; a brother,
   Gary  Jackson  of  Plainview; a sister, Cathy Purcell of Quitaque; and
   three grandchildren.

   HOWARDWICK - Alfredo Jaramillo, 82, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003.

   Mr.  Jaramillo was born July 5, 1920, in Walsenburg, Colo. He had been
   a laborer, working with Civilian Conservation Corps.
   
   Survivors  include  three  sons,  Kenneth  Wayne Jaramillo of Colorado
   Springs,  Colo.,  Thomas  Eugene Jaramillo of Howardwick and Joe Casey
   Jaramillo; a daughter, Sharon Valdez of Denver; a sister, Lala Cordova
   of Colorado Springs; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

   CONWAY - Kathy K. Youree, 48, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003.
   
   Rosary  will  be  at  7 p.m. today in St. Theresa's Catholic Church in
   Panhandle.  Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Thomas the Apostle
   Catholic Church in Amarillo with the Rev. John Dalton of St. Theresa's
   Catholic  Church  officiating. Burial will be in Panhandle Cemetery by
   Minton/Chatwell Funeral Directors of Panhandle.
   
   Mrs.  Youree was born Oct. 29, 1954, in Groom, and was a lifetime area
   resident.  She  was  a  primary  music  teacher  and assisted the band
   director  for  Friona  ISD.  She was also choir director and assistant
   band director at Panhandle ISD for many years. She was a member of St.
   Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Amarillo.
   
   She  was  also  a  member of Amarillo Harley Owners Group, Texas Music
   Educators  Association,  Texas  Band  Masters  Association,  and music
   coordinator  and  organist  at  St. Frances Catholic Church. She was a
   die-hard  basketball  fan. She married Tim Youree on June 10, 2000, in
   Groom.
   
   Survivors include her mother, Mitch Kuehler of Panhandle; her husband;
   two  sons,  Chad Bertrand of Houston and Mark Youree of Chicago; three
   daughters,  Stacy  Harkness  of Junction City, Kan., Molly Bertrand of
   Amarillo  and  Mandie  Judd  of  Fairfield;  a  sister,  Kim Weller of
   Panhandle; and three grandchildren.

   Mr. Gutierrez was born in Sinton and had worked in road construction.

   Mrs.  Ruiz  was  born Jan. 22, 1910, in San Benito. She married Julian
   Ruiz Sr. on July 1, 1928, in Donna.
   
   Survivors  include  two  sons, Roy Estrada and Marcelino Ruiz, both of
   Amarillo;  three  daughters, Mauricia Kile of Houston, Rosa Trevino of
   Lubbock  and  Alice  Cruz of Paducah; a sister, Alvina Longoria of San
   Benito;    17    grandchildren;   31   great-grandchildren;   and   15
   great-great-grandchildren.

   PAMPA  -  Wilbert  Ray  Babb,  72,  died  Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003, in
   Amarillo.
   
   Services  will  be  at 2 p.m. today in Central Baptist Church with Dr.
   Derrell  Monday,  pastor, and the Rev. Rick Parnell, associate pastor,
   officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery by Carmichael-Whatley
   Funeral Directors.
   
   Mr. Babb began Babb Portable Buildings with his son, Curtis. He served
   in the National Guard for 13 years.
   
   Survivors  include  his  wife,  Roberta; a daughter, Susan Ratzlaff of
   Pampa;  a  son,  Curtis Babb of Pampa; a sister, Frances Richardson of
   Boise City, Okla.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

   PLAINVIEW - Newly Lee Blocker, 28, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003.

   Home  Memorial  Chapel.  Services  will  be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Golf
   Course  Road  Church of Christ of Midland. Burial will be in Resthaven
   Memorial Park by Ellis Funeral Home of Midland.
   
   Mr.  Blocker  was  born Jan. 20, 1975. He spent his childhood years in
   Amarillo  and Tulia, and his high school years in Plainview. Newly was
   a  1993  graduate  of  Plainview High School and served in the Navy as
   Petty  Officer  Third  Class  on the USS Saipan and as a Navy Reserve.
   Newly  was  gifted as a builder and owned Blocker Signs and Remodeling
   of Plainview, where he attended Family Harvest Church.
   
   Newly's  boyish  charm,  mischievous  grin, warm manner and generosity
   will  be  remembered and cherished by all who had the honor of knowing
   him.  The  children  of the family knew and loved him as "Uncle Newly"
   and   just   the   mention  of  his  name  brought  smiles  and  great
   anticipation. Newly was a son, brother and loyal friend.
   
   Newly's  eternal  salvation  is  in the Lord Jesus Christ, and that is
   where we all shall meet who call on His name.
   
   Survivors  include his parents, Lloyd and Monica Barror of Midland and
   Jimmy and Donna Blocker of Amarillo; his grandparents, Bill and Jetuan
   George  of  Tulia,  Gladys  Barror  of  Plainview  and Earl Blocker of
   Amherst;  four sisters, Leah Echols and Chelsi Rolen, both of Midland,
   Kai  Hill  of  Lubbock  and  Tara  Blocker of Dallas; a brother, James
   Barror  of  Hale  Center;  his  nieces  and nephews, Cannon Echols and
   Conrey Echols, both of Midland, and Christian Hill and Sage Hill, both
   of Lubbock; and his fiance, Marle Stahl of New Deal, his greatest gift
   and love.
   
   Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Ellis Funeral Home.

   Mr.  Gamble  was  born Jan. 1, 1952, in Murfreesboro, Tenn. He married
   Jenny Lee on April 7, 1973, in Pampa.
   
   Survivors include his wife; two sons, Scotty Gamble and Samuel Gamble,
   both  of Pampa; a daughter, Julie Morgan of Pampa; two brothers, James
   Gamble and Buddy Gamble both of West Texas; a sister, Wanda Paddock of

   Mr.  Beckham  was  a  veteran  of  the Army, serving for two years. He
   retired with Levi-Straus after 30 years of service.

   Cemetery.
   
   Mr.  Morford  had  lived  in  Amarillo  all of his life. He worked for
   several  construction  companies  including Interpipe, Foran and Reed,
   before retiring seven years ago.
   
   Survivors  include  his  friend,  Violet  Worford  of  Amarillo;  five
   daughters,  Lisa Miller of Canyon, Priscella Bierman of Las Vegas, and
   Diana  Richardson,  Vickie Fellers and Brenda Hawley, all of Amarillo;
   two sons, Bobby Ray Morford of Louisiana and Jim Heathington of Dumas;
   a  sister,  Frances  Blessing  of  Amarillo; 10 grandchildren; and two

   Mrs.  Graham was born April 26, 1936, to Katherine and Virgil H. Craig
   in San Angelo. She worked in the Corpus Christi and Houston areas as a
   legal secretary and CPA, retiring to move to Amarillo in 1999.
   
   Survivors include a son, Robert Craig Graham of Pottsboro; a daughter,
   Carol  J.  Burnett and husband, Kim, of Amarillo; three grandchildren,
   Tiffany  Walker,  Tami  Gaut  and John Craig Graham, currently serving
   with  the 18th Airborne Corps in Kuwait; and five great-grandchildren,
   Sydney  Walker,  Curry Walker, Bryley Walker, Abigail Walker and Chase
   Gaut.

   Herbert  Cardwell,  69,  of  Amarillo  died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, in
   Oroville, Calif.
   
   Services  will  be  at  2  p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Funeral Home
   Chapel  of  Memories,  6969  E.  Interstate  40,  with  the Rev. Jerry
   Billington officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
   
   Mr.  Cardwell  was born Sept. 2, 1933. He was a boilermaker and member
   of  Boilermakers  Union  Local  531  in  Amarillo.  He was an Amarillo
   resident  from 1969 to 1996. While a resident of Amarillo, he attended
   Soul's  Harbor  Church and Trinity Fellowship. He was also a volunteer
   at the Alcohol Recovery Center in Amarillo.
   
   He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margarete in 1989.
   
   Survivors  include  his  wife,  Helen;  a daughter, Carolyn Huffman of
   Gavilin  Hills,  Calif.;  four  sons, Howard Carl Cardwell of Collins,
   Mo.,  Herbert Lee Cardwell Jr. of Farmington, N.M., Johnny Grivette of
   Oroville  and  Dennis  Grivette  of  New  Caney; five brothers, Harold
   Cardwell,  Jimmy Cardwell, Wayne Cardwell, Curtis Cardwell and Charles
   Lasseter;   six   sisters,  Doris  Gilmore,  Loretta  Thompson,  Linda
   Reynolds,  Charlotte  Green,  Shirley  Giovaini  and  Kathy Holmes; 16
   grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

   Shan  M.  "Cowboy"  Chewning,  90, of Amarillo died Thursday, Feb. 13,
   2003, in Bossier City, La.

   Mr.  Chewning  was born Feb. 23, 1913, in Paris, to Robert and Pearlie
   Chewning. He married Hazel Lou Parr in November 1932. Mr. Chewning was
   a  brakeman  and  a  conductor  for Santa Fe Railroad for more than 30
   years before retiring. He was a member of Polk Street United Methodist
   Church.
   
   He  was  preceded in death by his wife in 1988; a daughter, Shirley J.
   Christopher in 1966.
   
   Survivors include three sons, Marcus M. Chewning and Parr W. Chewning,
   both  of Amarillo, and Dudley G. Chewning of Bossier City; a daughter,
   Shanna L. Bourn of Houston; a sister, Dorothy I. Agapito of Las Vegas;
   10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

   Mrs.  Harrison  was  born  in  Cape  Giradeau,  Mo.,  and had lived in
   Amarillo for the past 14 years. She was a Quaker.

   Gabrielle  Harrison  of  Amarillo;  two  brothers,  Noble  Harrison of

   Paramount Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens
   Cemetery.
   
   Mr.  Cheek was born July 21, 1920, in Oklahoma City, to Luther Macklin
   and  Leola  L.  McCully  Cheek.  Mr. Cheek was a World War II veteran,
   having  served  in  the  Army.  He was a member of Amarillo Lodge 731,
   Khiva  Shrine  and  Amarillo  Senior Citizens. He was also a member of
   Paramount  Baptist  Church.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, enjoyed
   playing  bridge  and  being in sales. Mr. Cheek loved his children and
   grandchildren.  Mr.  Cheek was founder and owner of San Jacinto Frozen
   Foods Sales for more than 20 years.
   
   Survivors  include  a  daughter,  Patsy  Kisor  and  husband, Dale, of
   Amarillo;  a son, Luther Michael Cheek of Fairbanks, Alaska; a sister,
   Lois Shaw of Norman, Okla.; and six grandchildren.

   Burial  will  be  at  11 a.m. Monday in Healy Cemetery in Healy, Kan.,
   with  the  Rev. Randy Jellison-Knock, pastor of Healy United Methodist
   Church,  officiating.  Arrangements  are  by  Boxwell Brothers Funeral
   Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle.
   
   Miss  Jennison was born to Herlan Stewart and Katharine Ehmke Jennison
   on  July  4,  1913,  at  their home in Healy. She trained as a medical
   technologist  at the laboratory school at Kansas City General Hospital
   from 1937 to 1939.
   
   She  worked  as  a  medical  technologist at the Methodist Hospital in
   Joplin,  Mo., at the Methodist Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa. From 1942
   to  1988,  she  worked  as  a  medical  technologist  for  a series of
   physicians in group practice in Amarillo. She maintained membership in
   local,  state  and  national  medical  technology  organizations. Miss
   Jennison  was  a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church and the
   Susanna Wesley Sunday school class.
   
   She  was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Jennison;
   and a sister, Marguerite Jennison.
   
   Survivors  include  a  sister,  Kay  Waddell  of Washington, Iowa; two
   brothers, Harold Jennison and Karl Jennison, both of Healy.
   
   The  family  suggests  memorials  be  to  Polk Street United Methodist
   Church,  1401  S.  Polk  St.,  Amarillo,  TX  79101;  or  Healy United

   Paul Simpson Hale
   
   Paul Simpson Hale, 77, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2003.
   
   The  family will have a memorial service at a later date. Arrangements
   are by N.S. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors, 2615 Paramount Blvd.
   
   Mr.  Hale  was born in Roberts County and attended school in Perryton.
   He  joined  the Navy in 1943 and served in World War II and the Korean
   Conflict. He was discharged in 1968.
   
   Survivors  include  two sisters, Betty Massey of Canadian and Harriett
   Conner  of  Perryton;  two brothers, Fred Hale and Henry Hale, both of
   Perryton;  an  uncle,  Edward S. Hale of Panhandle; and several nieces
   and nephews.

   Mildred Fly Taylor
   
   Mildred Fly Taylor, 85, of Amarillo died Monday, Feb. 10, 2003.
   
   Services  will  be  scheduled  at  a  later  date. Arrangements are by

   Mrs.  Taylor  was  born  in  Amarillo and graduated from Amarillo High
   School. She attended Amarillo College and Draughon's Business College.
   She worked for Santa Fe Oil and Gas as an administrative secretary and
   was  a  member of Business and Professional Women. She was a member of
   Polk Street United Methodist Church.
   
   She  was  "the best mother anyone could ever have." She married Gordon
   L. Taylor on Oct. 18, 1936, in Amarillo.
   
   She was preceded in death by her husband in 1981.
   
   Survivors   include   a   daughter,  Phyllis  Collum  of  Amarillo;  a
   son-in-law,  Ed.  G.  Collum  of Amarillo; and a grandson, Robert Todd
   Swank of Littleton, Colo.

   Vivian "Sue" Moore
   
   Vivian "Sue" Moore, 91, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003.
   
   Services  will  be at 2 p.m. today in Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969
   E.  Interstate  40,  with  Jeff  Asher of Dumas Drive Church of Christ
   officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
   
   Mrs.  Moore  was  born June 1, 1911, in Muskogee, Okla., to Albert Lee
   and  Mary  Myrtle  Wells  Denney.  She was a homemaker and a member of
   Dumas Drive Church of Christ.
   
   Survivors  include  her  husband,  J.B. "Mike"; three sons, Michael H.
   Moore  and  wife,  Janie,  and  Jackey Moore and wife, Barbara, all of
   Amarillo,  and Jerry Don Moore and wife, Judi, of Seattle; a daughter,
   Mary  Poynor  and husband, Mike, of Amarillo; two sisters, Billye Faye
   Dancy and Della Jo Cortez, both of Copperas Cove; seven grandchildren;
   and 12 great-grandchildren.
   
   The  family  suggests  memorials  be  to  St. Jude's Children Research
   Center, P.O. Box 810, Memphis, TN 38101.

   Hubert Kermit Elrod
   
   GUYMON,  Okla.  -  Hubert  Kermit  Elrod, 87, died Wednesday, Feb. 12,
   2003.
   
   Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Christian Church with the
   Rev.  Don  Taylor  officiating.  Burial  with Masonic rites will be in
   Elmhurst Cemetery by Henson-Novak Funeral Directors.
   
   Mr.  Elrod  was  born  March 15, 1915, in Westminster, S.C. He married
   D.K. Elrod on March 15, 2002.
   
   Survivors  include  his wife; a sister, Ethel Davison of Guymon; and a
   brother, Bob Elrod of Guymon.
   
   The  family suggests memorials be to Guymon Home Health and Hospice in

   Judy K. Bogner
   
   EL CAJON, Calif. - Judy K. Bogner, 57, of San Diego died Tuesday, Feb.
   11, 2003, in Amarillo.
   
   Memorial  services  will  be  at  2  p.m.  Monday in Our Lady of Grace
   Catholic  Church  in  El Cajon with the Rev. Omer LeBlonc officiating.
   Arrangements  are  by  Memorial Park Funeral Home in Amarillo, 6969 E.
   Interstate 40, and Lakeside Funeral Chapel of El Cajon.
   
   Mrs.  Bogner was born March 19, 1945, in San Diego. She married Robert
   R.  Bogner  on  Feb.  20,  1961. She was most importantly a wonderful,
   beautiful,  most  unselfish,  giving person. She was married to Robert
   for 42 wonderful years.
   
   Mrs.  Bogner  was  affected  with rheumatoid arthritis in 1975. For 28
   years,  she  continued  to  provide  a wonderful home for her husband,
   children  and  grandchildren. She loved people and smiling. She worked
   many years with the public on her crippled feet without a complaint.
   
   She  did  all  her  daily  activities without complaints, and loved to
   crochet,  most  of  all,  baby  layettes,  even  though her hands were
   crippled.  She  enjoyed her outings with her "sisterhood" friends. She
   was an adorer on the Blessed Sacrament Chapel. She enjoyed her family,
   children and all her grandchildren. Most of all, she enjoyed her daily
   life with her husband, Bob.
   
   A special "thank you" to Father Jose Mangulabnan of BSA Hospice.
   
   Survivors  include her husband; a daughter, Suzanne and family; a son,
   Steven and family; her mother; four sisters; and five grandchildren.
   
   The family suggests memorials be to Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
   
   Following the service, the family will be at the Bogner residence.

   Jimmy Dale Darrow
   
   LUBBOCK - Jimmy Dale Darrow, 55, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2003.
   
   Services  will  be  at  10:30 a.m. Saturday in Roosevelt First Baptist
   Church  in  Acuff with the Rev. Jack Thompson officiating. Burial will
   be  in  Peaceful  Gardens Memorial Park in Woodrow by Englunds Funeral
   Service of Slaton.
   
   Mr.  Darrow  was  born  Oct.  21, 1947, in Shamrock. He married Judith
   Lafay Beddo on May 31, 1975, in Lubbock.
   
   Survivors  include  his  wife;  a  son,  Israel  Darrow  of Lubbock; a
   daughter, Missy Darrow of Lubbock; two brothers, Doug Darrow of Dozier
   and Clayton Darrow of Arlington.
