MALINDA LAFAYETTE

  Mrs. Malinda Lafayette, wife of Dr. M. D. Lafayette of Boswell, passed away in 
her 76th year Monday evening, at the home of her son, M. F. Brinham, in Scalp 
Level.
  Mrs. Lafayette was born on May 29, 1856, the daughter of Alfred and Margaret 
(Knepp) Wilmoth, both deceased.  She was married twice, her first husband, M. F. 
Brinham, Sr., having died in 1896.  In addition to her present husband, Dr. 
Lafayette, she is survived by these sons:  Dr. A. W. Brinham, of Scalp Level, 
Dr. J. R. Brinham, of Cumberland, Md., and M. F. Brinham, mentioned above.  Two 
grandchildren also survive.
  Funeral services were held at the home of Dr. A. W. Brinham, at 7:30 o'clock 
Wednesday evening, conducted by Rev. John A. Richter, pastor of the Scalp Level 
Lutheran Church, assisted by Rev. J. A. Buffenmeyer, of the Scalp Level Church 
of the Brethren.  The body was taken to Cumberland, Md., for interment in 
Rosehill Cemetery.
