William H. Smith

William H. Smith, a highly respected colored citizen, died at his late 
residence, 312 East Miner street Sunday morning.  He is survived by a widow, 
four sons and nine grandchildren to mourn his loss.  One of his sons is a 
lawyer and resides at Indianapolis, Ind.  E is here for the funeral.

Mr. Smith was a member of Harmony Lodge, No. 21, F & A.M.; Geo. F. Smith 
Post.  He was 70 years of age, and for the last fifteen years conducted a 
grocery at 312 East Miner Street.

SMITH- In West Chester, Pa., on December 12th, William H. Smith, Sr., aged 70 
years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral without 
further notice from Bethel A.M.E.  Church on Wednesday, December 15, at 1 
o’clock p.m.  Interment at Chestnut Grove.  Remains will rest at the home of 
his son, 310 East Miner Street, where they may be viewed on Tuesday evening 
from 8 to 9.
