DUBLIN, Texas — Jesse Ethylene McNeal, 91, of Dublin, Texas, died at her residence on Thursday, April 24, 2014. Services took place at 10 a.m. Monday, April 28, in Harrell Memorial Chapel, with Jimmy Holleman officiating. Burial followed at Dublin Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation took place Sunday evening.
Ethylene was born June 9, 1922, in Lula. She was united in marriage to Andrew Jackson "Buck" McNeal Jr. on July 23, 1938, in Allen, and to this union they had three children.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 16, 2009, and her daughter Brenda in 1994.
She had been a member of Red Hat Society, Dublin Garden Club and several other organizations. She was a homemaker and a dairy farmer.
She is survived by her children, Jack McNeal of Scottsdale, Ariz., Glenda Stechnij of Mesa, Ariz., and Rod McNeal of Dublin; 13 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; her sister and brothers, Joyce Williams of Ada, Jim Brooks of Wilson, Charles Brooks of Wilson, Thomas Brooks of Lakeside, Calif., and Larry Brooks of Coargold, Calif.; and numerous other relatives.

ADA — Services for Marsha Day (Frye) Haines, 33, of Ada are at 3 p.m. Friday at the Center Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. Earl Hood will officiate. Burial will follow at Lightning Ridge Cemetery near Roff. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Haines died Monday, April 28, 2014.
She was born April 29, 1980, in Ada to Delbert Keith and Tina Marie Hart Frye.
She married James Michael “Buck” Haines Jr. on May 17, 1996, in Ada.
Mrs. Haines was a teacher's aide for the Vanoss Public School System, and she was a member of the Center Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Buck Haines, of the home; her children, Justin Haines, Hailey Haines, Austin Haines and Kara Haines, all of Ada; her mother, Tina Frye of Ada; a brother, Jason Frye of Ada; sister, Darlene Bush and her husband, John, of Ada; her father-in-law, Mike Haines and his wife, Connie, of Ada;  mother-in-law, Darla Henderson Wilson of Ada; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Delbert Frye; paternal grandmother, Florence Chaney; maternal grandmother, Jimmie Dean Williams; and an uncle, Charles Hart.
Bearers will be John Bush, Lloyd Hunt, Chris Parker, Josh Haines, Austin Haines and Justin Haines.

GREENVILLE, Texas —  Cora Merle Jamison, 92, of Greenville, Texas, and formerly of Ada, died Friday, May 2, 2014, at Hunt Regional Medical Center. A memorial service was held 1 p.m., Saturday, at The Harrison House in Greenville and a reception followed. The Rev. Bill Shaddox officiated. Burial will be at Rosedale Cemetery, Ada.
Miss Jamison was born June 20, 1921, outside of Ada. She was the daughter of Marshall Leslie Jamison Sr. and Cora Donaldson Jamison.  She worked in the academic community including being head of The Placement Department Office at East Central University in Ada. She was a member of the Stonewall Methodist Church.
Survivors include her sister, Robert Ann Maddux of Greenville, Texas; nephews Eric Marshall Jamison and wife, JoAnna, of Bixby, and Robert Leslie Jamison of Edmond; five great-nieces and great-nephews; and seven great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, James Ross Jamison and Marshall Leslie Jamison Jr.

SASAKWA — Services for Alice May  Watters, 74, of Sasakwa, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Wewoka, with Virgil Romine officiating. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Mrs. Watters died Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Oklahoma City.
She was born Feb. 14, 1940, in Ada to Arville Chester and Esther Owens Rodden.
Mrs. Watters attended Vamoosa Schools. She married V.L. Watters Jan. 11, 1958, in Ada and later worked as a seamstress before becoming a beautician for more than 35 years. She was a longtime member of Sasakwa Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her father, Arville Chester Rodden, and her mother, Esther Owens Rodden Williams; sister, Jean Jackman; and great-grandchild, Scotland Bible.
Survivors include her husband, V.L. Mr. Gregory died Friday, May 2, 2014, at his home. He was born Sept. 16, 1946, at Ada to Mearl A. and Geneva E. Cogburn Gregory. He attended grade schools at Irving School in Ada and also Fitzhugh. He attended junior high school and high school at Stonewall. Gene completed automotive school at Southwest Automotive in Oklahoma City in 1965. He worked in Oklahoma City for Williams-Kilpatrick Chevrolet before moving back to the Ada area. He was employed at Service Chevrolet for several years as a certified and master technician. He retired from People's Electric Cooperative in 2010 after 30 years of service as Head Fleet Mechanic. Mr. Gregory was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his two daughters, Christy Blackburn and her husband, Tim, of Ada, and Kim Cosby and her husband, Heath, of Ada; his four grandchildren, Cody and Logan Cosby and DeAnna and Cortney Blackburn; his father, Mearl A. Gregory of Stonewall; three brothers, Archie Gregory and Ron Gregory, both of Ada, and Don Gregory of Florida; and a sister, Mary Southerland of Ada.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva E. Gregory on Feb. 23, 2014.

RIO RANCHO, N.M. — At his wishes, no service was held for Steve Fulton, 64, of Rio Rancho, N.M. Burial was at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada.
Mr. Fulton died Sunday, April 27, 2014, in Taos, N.M. He was born Aug. 28, 1949, in Ada to Ross and Ollie Mae Robbins Fulton. He attended Latta Elementary School, Ada schools through the fifth grade and moved to Midlothian, Texas. He graduated from Midlothian High School. He later graduated from East Central University in Ada with a B. A. in Education, and from the University of North Texas at Denton, Texas, with a Master's Degree in Library Science.
He married Beverly Villarreal in Denton, Texas, on Aug. 14, 1982. She preceded him in death on Oct. 8, 1998. Mr. Fulton was a librarian in public, special and college libraries in Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma. He was active in state and regional library associations.
Survivors include a sister, Deidra Fulton of Plano, Texas; a nephew, Caleb Villarreal of Garland, Texas; and many friends and other relatives.

Elorse Ann Robinson, 75, of Ada, went to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at the Baptist Medical Center in OKC following complications from heart surgery.
She was born December 30, 1938 to Clifford Theodore and IdaBelle Hartwell Petty. She was married to Melburn Eugene Robinson on October 30, 1954.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Mel Robinson on November 3, 2006; her parents, Clifford and Ida Petty; sons, Ronnie Robinson and Roger Robinson; grandson, Justin Robinson; sister, Clara Mae Smith; brothers, Clifford Eugene Petty, Eddie Wayne Petty, Billy Joe Petty, Kenneth Floyd Petty and Allen Dale Petty.
Survivors include her daughter, Dianna Prust and husband Gary of Wisconsin; her sons, Tim Robinson of Wisconsin, Dave Robinson of Wisconsin and Loren Robinson and wife Kristie of California; her grandchildren, Tony Prust and wife Lori, Trina Skeate and husband Dave, Tim Prust and wife Dawn, Tammie Ketelsen and husband Levi, Trisha Robinson, Tamra Robinson, Amy Robinson, Kayla Robinson, Josh Robinson, Sarah Ottman and husband Jared, Jamie Jermyn and husband Zack and Tatem Robinson; her great grandchildren, Ana Prust, Ethyn and Owyn Skeate, Jaxson and Ellie Prust, Bayli, Ava and Emry Ketelsen, Hannah, Brianna and Gregory Robinson, Kylee and Hunter Robinson, Aaliyah Robinson and Lilli Steffenson; also many other relatives and friends.
Elorse was a loving wife, mom, grandma and great grandma. She enjoyed serving in the ministry for 44 years with Mel. She had a love for life, God and her family. She was a very special lady and enjoyed spreading smiles everywhere she went. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her best friend and boyfriend, Jim Roberson watching Thunder games.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Abba’s Prayer House, 622 N. Townsend with Rev. Ken Angel officiating. Visitation will be Friday, May 9th from 5-8 p.m. at Criswell Funeral Home, 815 E. Arlington and Saturday, May 10th from 8:30 a.m. until service time at Abba’s Prayer House.

ADA — Services for Andrew Jackson Nanney, 65, of Ada, are at 2 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Steve DeShazo will officiate.  Burial will follow at Denney Cemetery.
Mr. Nanney died Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at a hospital in Oklahoma City.  He was born Sept. 30, 1948, at Lehigh to Henry Willis and Geraldine Imogene Miller Nanney.  He attended school at Jones Chapel, Willard and Latta.
He married Susan Gayle Taylor in 1998.  She preceded him in death on Feb. 18, 2011. He worked in the farm and ranch industry.  He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one brother, David Wayne Nanney of Ada; one sister, Lillie McMillan of Oklahoma City; five nieces; three nephews; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one niece, three brothers, Willis H. Nanney, James Ray Nanney and Johnny Lee Nanney.

ROBBIE SHERRELL
ADA — Services for Robbie Dale Sherrell, 78, of Ada, are at 1 p.m. today at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Bud Ross will officiate. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Roff. 
Mr. Sherrell died Saturday, May 10, 2014, in Ada.
He was born Oct. 22, 1935, in Fittstown to Jim and Katie Rubrecht Sherrell. He graduated from Stonewall High School and continued his education and graduated from East Central University.
Robbie went to work for the Hartford Insurance Company and lived in Ada, Moore and Chicago. When International Telephone and Telegraph purchased Hartford, Robbie was transferred to London, England, where he lived and worked for eight years.
Robbie left ITT/Hartford when recruited by Insurance Corporation of British Columbia, where he served as the first American president for the company. He left ICBC in 1980 and moved back to Stratford, where he lived on his cattle ranch. He then purchased and renovated the Brockway Glass Plant in Ada and formed the ICON Center, an industrial park, and the first international trade zone in Ada. Robbie sold the ICON to the Chickasaw Nation and finally retired to his ranch south of Ada.
Survivors include three daughters, Angie Sherrell of Houston, Texas, Liz Sherrell Gunn of San Ramon, Calif., and Shayna Sherrell of Ada; a brother, Billy Sherrell and his wife, Marie, of Moore; sisters-in-law, Juanita Sherrell and Faye Sherrell, both of Ada; several nieces and nephews, including a special relationship with nephew Wendell Sherrell and his wife, Sharon; and many other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Denzel (Pete) Sherrell and James Sherrell; and a sister, Juanita (Sis) Owen and her husband, Raymond.
Bearers will be D. E. Sherrell, T. W. Estes, Wayne Allison, Little Robbie Sherrell, Jon Sherrell and Roger Owen. Honorary bearers will be Dick Myers and Bob Geismer.

Mr. Phillips died Friday, May 9, 2014, at an Ada hospital.
He was born May 29, 1961, in Roswell, N.M., to Gene and Linda Williams Phillips. He attended school in Pecos, Texas, and moved to this area in 1983 from Carlsbad, N.M.
He married Lisa Dunn on Feb. 25, 1988, in Norman.
Mr. Phillips was a welder and fabricator for Frontier Drilling Company. 
Mr. Phillips was a citizen of the Chickasaw Nation. He had served on the Fittstown Volunteer Fire Department since 1998 and served as fire chief from 2000-2013.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Phillips, of the home; two sons, Chris Phillips and his wife, Krystina, of Ada and Robert Phillips and his wife, Angela, of Roff; two daughters, McKenzie Phllips Smith and her husband, Jedadiah, of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Spencer Phillips of the home; his parents, Gene and Linda Phillips of Roff; seven grandchildren, Bryan Smith, Matthew Smith, Jessica Smith, Laura Phillips, McKenzie Phillips, Gavin Phillips, Callan Phillips; two sisters, Genia Phillips of Roff and Cheryl McCarn and her husband, Carl, of Davis; his mother-in-law, Leah Peterson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Rachel Phillips and Grace and Haskell Williams; and two fathers-in-law, Jack Dunn and Frank Peterson.

He married Bobbie Jean Lively on April 18, 1959, in Atwood. Mr. Bryant was a butcher for Safeway and Homeland Grocery Stores until his retirement. He served in the Oklahoma National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Bryant, of the home; two sons, Phillip Bryant of Byng and Greg Bryant of Ada; two sisters, Barbara Caldwell of Ada and Sandra Garrett and her husband, Corky, of Wynnewood; three grandchildren, Shane Bryant and his wife, Jennifer, of Francis, Paris Smith and her husband, Mitchell, of Ada, and Chase Bryant and his wife, Stasha, of Ada; three great-grandchildren, A. She was born Feb. 24, 1923, at Durant to Thomas Dewey and Minnie Lee Owens Russell. She attended Caddo School.
She married Claud Raymond Bates on Sept. 30, 1939, in Durant. He preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 1988.
Mrs. Bates was a homemaker and a member of the New Life Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include her children, M. D. Bates of Ada, Gertrude Taylor of Denison, Texas, Claud Bates and Bobby Joe Bates, both of Durant, Judith Ann Taylor of Denison, and Judith Kay Jones of Ada; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claud Bates; a son, Ronnie Dale Bates; and a granddaughter, Betty N. Ragsdale.

ADA — Services for Jo Nita (Hamner) White, 78, formerly of Ada are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Norman, with Father Dwight N. Helt officiating.
Mrs. White died Thursday, May 8, 2014, at a nursing facility in Norman.
She was born March 22, 1936, in Ashland to Alton Bascom Hamner and Sybil Maxine (Tate) Hamner. She grew up in Arpelar and graduated from Haywood High School.
She married Chester Allen White in 1952 in Ada.
She earned a master’s degree in education from East Central University and a master’s degree in library science at the University of Oklahoma. She was a librarian and English teacher and taught at Asher, Latta and Norman public schools from 1972 to 1997.
Survivors include her husband, Chester White; a daughter, Jo Flemig; a son, John White and wife, Lisa, all of Norman; a son, Chester White Jr. and wife, Debra, of Owasso; a son, Mark White and wife, Tonya, of Ada; a brother, John Hamner of Lexington; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kenneth Hammer.

DR. ROSS HAYS MILLER
ADA — Ross Hays Miller was born in Ada, Oklahoma, on January 30, 1923, to Rev. Harry Winter Miller and Helen Miriam Rice.  He married Catherine Railey  in Ada, OK., in May 1943.  
He received a bachelor of science degree from East Central State College, Ada, Oklahoma, 1943 and the M.D. degree from  University of Oklahoma School of Medicine  in 1946.  He interned at St. Lukes Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio, 1946-47,  followed by Service in the United States Armed Forces in Korea, as captain in the Medical Corps, and chief of surgery of the 382nd Station Hospital, 1947-49.
He received his training in Neurological Surgery at the Mayo Graduate School, and the University of Minnesota 1950-1954. He was appointed as a consultant in Neurological Surgery in 1954. Dr. Miller was successively Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor of Neurological Surgery 1954-1983 at Mayo, and served as Chairman of Department of Neurological Surgery, 1975-1980. He was elected President of the Staff in 1976.  Dr. Miller retired from Mayo Clinic in January, 1983. The Mayo Foundation awarded him the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1992.
He was certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery in 1956, and served on their Board of Directors from 1978-1984, and the Residency Review Committee, 1973-1978. He was a member of The American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, Neurological Society of America, Society of Neurological Surgeons and has held offices in each of these organizations, and several others.
In 1977 Dr. Miller was inducted into the Oklahoma Heritage Hall of Fame.  He also received the Distinguished Alumni Award from East Central State University  in Ada, Oklahoma, and was inducted into their Sports Hall of Fame for tennis and basketball.   He was an outstanding athlete his entire life, an extraordinary tennis player in his earlier years, and low-handicap golfer later in life. 
Dr. and Mrs. Miller retired to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina in 1983. 
In between golf games, he participated in the education of neurosurgical residents as clinical professor of neurosurgery at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta, and the Medical University of South Carolina, in Charleston, and as an Honorary Emeritus Staff Member at Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville.  
Dr. and Mrs. Miller returned to live in Rochester in 1999. 
Surviving Dr. Miller are his wife of  71 years, Catherine Railey Miller of Rochester, MN,  son Terry Hays Miller (Helen) of Rochester and  daughter Helen Stacy Miller Labare (Dennis) of Oregon,  grandchildren Katherine Rose Miller and Anthony Hays Miller (Laura),  great- grandchildren Anna M. Waller and Amelia M. Waller, all of Rochester, and sister Carolyn Knapp of Satellite Beach, FL.  
Dr. Miller was  a resident of Charter House, Rochester, Minnesota. He died May 10, 2014, at Charter House in Rochester, MN. A memorial service is to be held at 10:00am on Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Charter House Chapel. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Rochester.

Mr. Wells died Monday, May 12, 2014, at Oklahoma City. He was born Jan. 19, 1926, in Pauls Valley to George E. and Dovie Belle (Hannah) Wells. He married Willa Dean Eldred on Nov 23, 1953, in Roosevelt.
He grew up in the Oak Grove area and served with the 35th Infantry of the United States Army during World War II.  
After serving his country, Mr. Wells returned home and became a hardworking provider for his family.  Throughout his working career, he was employed with several companies, holding various positions.  Those positions and employers included welder for Dolese Brothers, ranch hand at The Turner Ranch and mechanic for McCarley Chevrolet, as well as other part-time jobs.  Mr. Wells was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mill Creek.
Survivors include his wife, Dean, of more than 60 years; two daughters, Dianne Cobb and husband, David, and Leah Korb and husband, John, all of Hickory; two sons, Mickey Wells and wife, Vanessa, of Fitzhugh, and Luther Wells of Hickory; eight grandchildren, Amy Bates and husband, Steven, Michael Wells and wife, Leah, Lisa Wells, Carissa Wells, Ryan Pennington, Brent Pennington and wife, Julie, Brittney Rodriguez and husband, Juan, and Kyle Pennington; and 12 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Tagan and Lynsey Bates, Tyler Wells, Ava and Evan Posey, Elijah Mikano, Zane and Kolten Pennington, Branum and Cameron Pennington and Jayston Rodriguez.

BILL PARR
ADA — Billy E. Parr, 84, of Ada, died Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Ada. Per his request, there will be no fromal services. 
Mr. Parr was born Jan. 20, 1930, in Skelly Town, Texas, to Willie J. Parr and Ruth Qualls Parr. He spent most of his life in the food industry and was the manager of Foodway Market in Healdton. He owned his own franchise for Priddys Quality Foods in Ardmore. 
Mr. Parr also worked in the oil fields and was a 32nd-degree Mason. He also served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After returning from the miliatry, Mr. Parr had a part-time job with Wal-Mart that lasted 13 years as a door greeter. 
Survivors include his wife, Jerry Gayle, of 63 years; two sons, Rickey of the home and Randy and his wife, Tandy, of Ada; four grandchildren, Rolanda Hopkins, Michael Parr, Chrissy Ritter and Zachary Parr; and six great-grandchildren, Kolton Lane Parr, Lauryn, Leandra and Landon Hopkins, Creek and Corbin Ritter.

LLOYD ELDON LYNCH
DAVIS — Funeral services for Lloyd Eldon Lynch will be held at 2:30 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church of Davis, with Thomas Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Davis.
Mr. Lynch was born Sept. 6, 1939, in Ada to Loyd and Vesta (Barnes) Lynch.  He died Sunday, May 18, 2014, in Norman. He married Joy Morgan on March 15, 1958, in Latta.
He grew up in the Jesse and Stonewall area. He attended school in Jesse through the eighth grade and then attended high school in Stonewall, graduating in 1957.  Mr. Lynch worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a member of its survey crew and later as an inspector of area flood-control lake dams. His career with the Department of Agriculture began in Ada, then led him to the Davis office and upon its closing, he moved to the Ardmore ASCS office. Once an opening became available at the Sulphur ASCS office, he transferred there and remained until his retirement in 1990.    
Mr. Lynch was a charter member of the first sportsman's club in Davis.  He was awarded Top Lot Trapper by the North American Trappers Association. 
Survivors include his wife Joy; two sons, Keith Lynch of Davis and Kevin Lynch and wife, Donna, of Sulphur; seven grandchildren, Brittani Bridges and husband, Corey, Blake Lynch, Miciah Lynch, Tyler Lynch, DeJay Arms and husband, Daniel, Dusty Baker and Kady Lynch; seven great-grandchildren, Houston, Emma Lee and Weston Arms, Braylee Lewis, and Haiden, Shiloh and Dre Bridges; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bray died Sunday, May 18, 2014, at a Shawnee hospital. He was born Oct. 15, 1945, in Ada to James L. and Geneva Davis Bray. He graduated from high school in Delano, California. 
He married Karren Reed on March 8, 1966, in Ada. Mr. Bray was a carpenter and also a janitor for the Wrangler plant, retiring after 20 years of service. 
Survivors include his wife, Karren Bray, of the home; his parents, James and Geneva Bray of Ada; and two grandsons, Brandon Duane Stith of Coalgate and Tyler Rein Stith of Ardmore.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Michelle Bray Stith; his twin brother, Johnny L. Bray; and a niece, Sheila Bray.

ADA — Services for Kenneth Ray Jackson, 80, of Ada are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. Bud Ross will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Jackson died Sunday, May 18, 2014, at an Ada hospital. He was born Nov. 13, 1933, in Ahloso to George Gilbert “Ken” Jackson and Carrie Ellen Simpson Jackson. He attended Glenwood Grade School and graduated from Ada High School. He graduated from East Central University in Ada.
He married Betty Jean Cunningham on June 1, 1953. Mr. Jackson served in the U. S. Army from 1954 to 1956. He served 14 months in Korea and was honorably discharged as a corporal. Upon his return to Ada, he worked for Cunningham Furniture Manufacturing Co. After Mr. Cunningham's death, he purchased the business and remained there until ill health forced his retirement. He was in the business for 63 years. Mr. Jackson was a former member of the Kiwanis Club of Ada and a member of the Ada Elks Lodge #1640.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Jackson, of the home; two sons, David Bruce Jackson and Dale Paul Jackson and wife, Sharon, all of Ada; a brother, Terry Dean Jackson of Tyler, Texas; his grandchildren, Christian Dale Jackson and Landon Paul Jackson; and three great-grandchildren, Brogen Cochran, Addisyn Jackson and Beaux Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Donald Keith (Buddy) Jackson; and a sister, Norma Lanelle Jackson Ward.

He married Myrtie Grace Burton on Nov. 21, 1946, in Gonzales, Calif. Mr. Rush was a farmer and had been employed as a grader operator and a county road foreman for Coal County, District 3.
He was a member of the Tupelo Church of Christ.

Mrs. Wylie was a homemaker and a Baptist.

Ms. Wall was born in Greasy Bend, near Mannsville, on July 6, 1925. She died Wednesday, May 21, 2014.
Ms. Wall married James Alfred Wall on March 31, 1946, in Pauls Valley. They moved in 1948 to Borger, Texas, where she worked as a homemaker, then for Jim's Grocery as a cashier and later for Gibson's Discount Store. She and her husband raised their three children, Mary Ruth, Kathy Jane, and James Ray, in Borger and continued to live there a total of 54 years before returning to Mannsville to be closer to Kathy.
Ms. Wall was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, James; her daughter, Mary Ruth Wall; one grandson, James Trevor Wall; her father and mother, T.D. and Sarah Lou Weems; her two brothers, Ruben Weems and Harra Weems; and her five sisters, Ruth Barnes, Sarah Lou Hillis, Omega Worthy, Sadie McDonald and Betty Oglesby.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Wendell Ingram of Coalgate; her son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Denise Wall of Katy, Texas; grandchildren Angela Ingram of Springfield, Missouri, Tiffany Landry and husband, Beau, of Tuttle, Daniel Ingram and wife, Shanelle, of Altus, Lauren Blake and husband, Garrett, of Houston, Texas, and Chandler Wall of Waco, Texas; great-grandchildren Levi and Keegan Ingram of Altus and Cianna and Zane Landry of Tuttle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Williamson was born June 7, 1977, in Ada to William “Bill” Dwight Williamson and Peggy Zelllner Williamson. He died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at OU Medical Center.
Mr. Williamson was raised in Ada, attended the Ada school system and graduated from Ada High School in 1996. He worked various jobs in and around Ada before meeting Nina Christine Synco. They were married Oct. 10, 2010, and first made their home in Norman.
He began working for CSL Plasma, where he received training as a phlebotomist. Following five years of service there, he began working at the Oklahoma Blood Institute, where he had been for the past year and a half.
He and Nina bought their first home and relocated to Mustang in October 2013. His son, Judah Heath, was born Dec. 23, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents,  Woody and Pinky Williamson; his maternal grandfather, Floyd Zellner; and an uncle, Mike Zellner.
Survivors include his wife, Nina, and son, Judah Heath, of the home in Mustang; his father, Bill Williamson and wife, Judy, of Big Spring, Texas; his mother, Peggy Burris and husband, Frank, of Davis, Calif.; a sister,  Amber Stiles and fiancée, Michael Beauchamp, Brampton, Ontario; his grandmother, Juanita Zellner, Pauls Valley; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Mr. Wright died Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at the Veterans Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born March 3, 1947, in Shawnee to Charles E. and Virginia Perry Wright. He attended Shawnee, grade school. He and his family moved to this area in 1961 from Shawnee and he graduated from Ada High School. He attended East Central University for two years.
He married Patricia Ann Parker on July 2, 1971, in Ada.  Mr. Wright had been employed with B & M Auto Parts Company, a family-owned business called Perry and McGee Furniture and Dunn's Fish Farm. He was a member of Southwest Church of Christ in Ada. Mr. Wright served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and retired from the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Wright, of the home; a son, Edward B. Wright and his wife, Jaime, of Bethany; two grandsons, Zackary James Wright and Seth Charles Wright, both of Bethany; his step-mother, Bonnie Jack-Wright of Shawnee; his uncles, Robert Perry and wife, Ann, of Shawnee, Royce Perry of Oklahoma City, Paul Roach of Edmond; and Orl Wright and wife, Bonnie, of Broken Arrow; and other family and friends.

Ms. Watson died Friday, May 16, 2014, at a nursing home in Cherokee. She was born Oct. 8, 1955, in Ada to Deacon Eddie Lee Brown Sr. and Lorene Bruner Brown. She graduated from Byng High School in 1973. She received a degree in culinary arts from Oklahoma State Technical School in Okmulgee.
She married Benjamin Stanley Watson on June 9, 1992. He preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 2012. Mrs. Watson was a cook and worked at several restaurants, including the Village Inn and JD's. She worked in the dietary department at Griffin Memorial Hospital in Norman. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Dr. Lester died Friday, May 23, 2014, at his home. He was born Oct. 25, 1926, in Wetumka to Carl and Roie Grimes Lester. He graduated from Calvin High School in 1944, where he was the president and valedictorian of his senior class. 
He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II as an Aviation Ordinance Man. He married Bernice Earley on October 17, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas. She preceded him in death on March 19, 2013. He was awarded his Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 1951. 
Dr. Lester practiced Optometry in Holdenville and Ada for a total of 48 years. He was a member of the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians, where he served one term on the Board of Directors. He was also a member of the American Optometric Association, the Ada Rotary Club and the Gideon's International. He served on the Ada City Council in 1960, and he was a longtime member of the Ada First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Maguire and her husband Roger of Fairfield, Illinois, and Janet Barrick and her husband Ben of Ada; one son, David Lester of Atlanta, Georgia; six grandchildren, Brent Maguire, Michelle Ziegler, Jennifer Hawkins, Brad Barrick, Joy Barrick and Joel Barrick; 16 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two brothers.

She attended school at Vamoosa and graduated from Sasakwa High School. She moved to the Ada area in 1949 from Texas. She was secretary at Glenwood School for 10 years and retired as secretary of Southwest Church of Christ in 1989. She was a long time member of Southwest Church of Christ.
She and Frank White were married Dec. 6, 1946, at Konawa. He died Feb. 23, 2009, at Ada.
Survivors include her son Jerry White and his wife Carol of Norman; two daughters, Janice Brand and her fiance' Danny Chiles of Ada, and Patti Grissom of Ada; five grandchildren, David White and wife Elizabeth of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Patrick White of Richmond, Virginia, Bobby Lynch of Edmond, and Kent Ellis of Elk City, and Kimberly White of Ft. Collins, Colorado; five great-grandchildren, Emilie and Madeleine Whitewolf of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Ayden Lynch of Davis, Braylon and Clara Elizabeth “Ellie” Ellis of Carlsbad, New Mexico; one brother, Roy Childers and wife Lorraine of Ada; and a sister-in-law, Marie Childers of Konawa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Floyd Childers and John Childers; two sisters, Mabel Flesher and Dorothy Miller; and a son-in-law, Rickie Grissom.
Honorary bearers are her grandchildren and their spouses. Bearers are Butch Platt, Bobby Johns, Elmer Gerth, Alvin Jamar, Glendel Hatton and Carl Low.

KONAWA — Services for Pamela Sue Rochovitz, 54, of Ada, are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Tony Folger will officiate. 
Mrs. Rochovitz died Sunday, May 25, 2014, at a local hospital. She was born Nov. 29, 1959, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to Amos Willard “Jeff” and Judy Ann Eckels Chandler. 
She married Michael Leigh Rochovitz July 23, 1976, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mrs. Rochovitz was a homemaker.

PAULINE BURKHEAD
MOORE — A memorial service for Pauline Burkhead, 93, of Norman, will be 10 a.m. Friday at John M. Ireland and Son Funeral Home and Chapel in Moore. She died May 23, 2014.
Ms. Burkhead was born March 1, 1921, and was raised in the Lightening Ridge community near Stratford. She worked in the restaurant industry as a manager before marrying Chester D. Burkhead and moving to Illinois. 
The couple moved back to Oklahoma in 1978 and settled in Center. In 1991, she moved to Norman. 
Survivors include her son, Chester Burkhead and wife, Lulu, of Norman; son-in-law, Carl Smercheck, of Kansas; granddaughter, Samantha Burkhead of Norman, grandson, Cleat Smercheck of Indiana; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 
She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester Donald Burkhead; daughter, Connie Smercheck; sisters, Vera and Opal; brothers, Walter “Tay,” Bill, Earl, Jake and Jacki.

Mr. Tatum died Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at his home.
He was born Aug. 18, 1965, in Ada to Joe William and Katheryn Jones Tatum. He attended school at Stonewall.
He married Andrea Nichols on July 6, 1998. He worked for Hoppe Construction and Jennings Stone as a heavy-machine operator. He was affiliated with High Hill Baptist Church.

ADA — Memorial services for Alyce L. Scotson, 92, a former resident of Ada, will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.
Ms. Scotson died May 23, 2014, at Baptist Village in Oklahoma City. She was born July 20, 1921, in Burkburnett, Texas, to Herbert Scott and Gladys Biggs Scott. 
She moved to Oklahoma at a young age, graduated from Ada High School, received her nurse training in Ada and worked at Valley View Regional Hospital, the Sugg Clinic and then the Wilburn Clinic. 
She was married to Frank Palmore and to this union were born two children, Sandy and Tom. 
She later married Charles Robert Scotson and to this union was born a son, Carl Robert Scotson.
Survivors include four grandchildren, Diane Hodge, Mike Powers and Tiffany Larsen; four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. 
She was preceded in death by her husband; her son, Carl Robert; her daughter, Sandy Powers; and a grandson, Greg Powers.

TUPELO — Graveside services for Jerry Canida, 74, of Tupelo are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Bob Graham will officiate. The Chickasaw Honor Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery.
Mr. Canida died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at a Coalgate hospital. 
He was born Jan. 16, 1940, in Tupelo to John Earl and Albirdie Bryant Canida. He graduated from Tupelo High School.
He married Wanda Sue Stacy. He later married Carylon Billey on June 11, 2004. Mr. Canida served in the U. S. Army from 1957 until retiring in 1977. Later, he managed the Stonewall Feed Store. Mr. Canida was a member of the Tupelo First Baptist Church, the D.A. V. and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Carylon Canida; three daughters, Tina Bryant and husband, Ralph, of Sterling, Amanda Pendleton of Tupelo and Melesa Parker of Tupelo; a brother, Terry Canida and his wife, Leda, of Coalgate; and his grandchildren, Natalie, Malayna, Kathleen, Aleah and Blaine Bryant, Blake and Madalyn Pendleton, and Kristyn and Kolton Parker; several step-children; and step-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Kenny Pearce, Phillip Henry, Terry Young, Blaine Bryant, Kolton Parker and Blake Pendleton.

ADA — Services for Charles Wade McClure, 64, of Ada are at 11 a.m. Saturday at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Linda Snelling will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. McClure died Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at his home. 
He was born Feb. 21, 1950, in San Diego, California, to C. W. and Opal Mae Walker McClure. He and his family moved to the Ada, Byng and Latta areas, where he graduated from Byng High School. 
He attended technical school before joining the U.S. Army. He served for four years on assignments in Missouri and Alaska.
He married Sandi Vails on April 1, 1983, in Durant. One of Mr. McClure’s first jobs was working for Vogt Sheet Metal in Ada. He later was employed with the Oklahoma State Highway Department. 
In 2004, he retired from the highway department as office manager, Division 3, after 33 years of service. 
Mr. McClure was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Sandi McClure, of the home; a son, Chad Staubus and his wife, Wendy; his daughter, Stephanie Fidler; his grandchildren, Brody Staubus, Cody Staubus, and Zachary Fidler and wife, Kirsten; a great-grandson, Quaid Fidler; his sisters, Mary Dickson and husband, David, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and Leath Pitta and her husband, John, of Salinas, California; three children from a previous marriage, Christopher, Megan and Joseph McClure; and many friends and extended family.
Bearers will be Ragan Knickmeyer, Brandon Morgan, Dale Stringer, Joe Williams, Zac Fidler and Chad Staubus.

ELLA R. LONG (Sissy)
November 3, 1934 – April 7, 2014
Resident of Livermore
Passed away at the age of 79 years.  She was affectionately known as “Sissy” by her family and close friends.  She will be remembered for her laughter, style, impeccable sewing skills, her gift for gab, and her love of basketball.  
Ella will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, and fondly remembered in our hearts and memories.
Born in Jesse, Oklahoma, she was one of seven children of Rayford and Katie May.  She is survived by her daughters Mary Coulson and her husband; Robert, Debra Matchette and her husband; Raymond; her grandchildren Jonathan and Sarah Coulson, Yvette and Tony Matchette; her great-grandchildren Anthony, Ajah, Sydney, and Annamarie Matchette; her sisters Valine Miller and Delcie Miller; her brother Freddie May; her sister-in-laws Sharon Long and Marilyn Cate; and numerous other family members.  
She was preceded in death by her husband, Phil Long; her son, Alan James; her sisters Leona Miller and Lacrecia Loyer; and her brother Pete May.
Ella attended Stonewall High School, where she played the point guard position for the Stonewall Longhorns girls basketball team.  This is where she was given the name “Shorty May” by her teammates. After high school, Ella moved to California with her sister where she established herself and worked for many years as an office manager for insurance agencies before retiring.
Ella was an avid and skilled seamstress and loved to read.  Her passions included visiting family throughout the country.  
She also loved to spend many hours on the phone, chatting to family and friends.  Ella loved traveling the world with her husband, Phil, and spending time at “the cabin” in the gold country.
A Celebration of Ella’s Life will be held on May 31st  from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at Historical St. Raymond’s Church and Old School House, 6600 Donlon Way, Dublin, CA., Open for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ella’s name at the Alzheimer’s Association.
