OKLAHOMA CITY-Services for Eshanda Shay'Lynn Seals, 23, Oklahoma 
City, formerly of Ada are 1 p.m. Saturday at Reaper Baptist Church, 
the Rev. Charles Miller will officiate. Burial will follow at Elm 
Flat Cemetery.

Ms. Seals died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008, at Oklahoma City. She was 
born April 28, 1985, at Ada to Ronalda "Nut" Seals and Kathleen Renae 
Meeley.

She attended school in Ada and Crooked Oak High School in Oklahoma 
City. Ms. Seals was a homemaker and was baptized at Reaper Baptist 
Church in Ada and attended Greater Bethel Baptist Church in Oklahoma 
City.

Survivors include two daughters, BreYona C.Young and BriJané C.Young, 
both of the home; her father, Ronalda "Nut" Seals and stepmother Amy 
Seals, Oklahoma City; her mother, Kathleen Meely, McLoud; five 
brothers, Anthony Meeley, Jamal Seals and Jamel Seals, all of 
Oklahoma City, Antwan Seals, Ada, Derek Meeley, Lawton; four sisters, 
Keeyona Seals, Tara Brown, Iiesha Meeley, and Shante Seals, all of 
Oklahoma City; her grandmother, Bertha Seals, Ada; and many aunts, 
uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, paternal 
grandparents, maternal and paternal great-grandparents, and two 
uncles, Darrin and Jeffrey.

Bearers will be Randy Cormier, Cody Lyons, Marcus Rogers, Donnie 
Lane, Jamell Grisby, Bernard Williams, Willie Jackson and Stephen 
Simmons.

ADA - Services for Jimpson Charles Alexander Jr., 45, Ada, are 10

follows at Ravia Cemetery, Ravia. Officiating will be the Rev. Donald 
Jacob.

Mr. Alexander died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2008, at Mercy Memorial Hospital 
in Ardmore. He was born Dec. 16, 1962, in Ada to Jimpson Charles 
Alexander Sr. and Lois Keel Alexander.

Mr. Alexander was a lifelong resident of the Ada area and a member of 
Mitchell Memorial Methodist Church. He worked for many years as a 
welder.

Survivors include a brother, Glen Alexander, Ada; five sisters, 
Eunice Alexander, Cleveland, Ohio, Deborah Walker, Sarah Alexander, 
Odelia Tiger and Cheryl Walker, all of Ada; and many nieces and 
nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimpson Sr. and Lois 
Alexander; and a niece, Serina Ground.

Mr. Brown died Sept. 16, 2008, at his home in Oklahoma City. He was 
born July 22, 1969, in Muskogee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy Dale and Linda Fern 
Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Connie; a daughter, Cori; a son, Trey; 
his mother-in-law, C. Jean Brady; his father-in-law, Bill Brady; and 
a brother,

Gregory Brown, Tecumseh; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

After Saturday's services, refreshments will be served by members of 
the Rocky Point Baptist Church of Lula at 3 p.m. All guests are

Mrs. Wood died Sept. 30, 2008, at Ada. She was born Nov. 4, 1914, in 
Adams, Neb., to Harry H. and Mary Elizabeth Johnson Southard.

She graduated from high school at Fitzhugh. She lived most of her 
life in the Stratford area and was a member of First Baptist Church.

She married Jess Wood Sept. 27, 1934, at Stratford. He preceded her 
in death.

She was also preceded in death by a sister and two twin sons.

Survivors include two sons, Larry "Dink" Wood, Stratford, and Allen 
and wife Betty Wood, Seminole; two daughters, Judy McCurley, Sand 
Springs, and Jane Magar, Stratford; six grandchildren, Gary Wood, 
Greg Wood, Darla Blackwell, Amy Russell, Keri Richardson and Jill

TUPELO - Services for Lola May Perkins, 78, Tupelo, are 10 a.m. 
Saturday at Tupelo Church of Christ. Burial follows at Wilson 
Cemetery.

Mrs. Perkins died Sept. 29, 2008, at Coalgate. She was born April 17, 
1930, at Snomac, Okla., to James Cecil and Opal Claunch.

She attended schools in Snomac, Brownston, Ill., and Atoka. She 
worked for the telephone company in Dallas, Texas, Rangeley, Colo., 
and Rock Springs, Wyo. For several months she worked at a hospital in 
Watford City, N.D.

She attended Lela's Beauty School in Ada and worked as a beautician. 
She later worked for the Savanah Ammunition depot and later as a U.S. 
postal clerk. She also helped as a seamstress in her sister's drapery 
shop.

She joined Northtown Church of Christ in McAlester about 1965. She 
has attended Tupelo Church of Christ for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Cecilia 
"Tealie" Woods, son Robert Earl Wicker, her twin sister, Faye Woods, 
and nephews John and Ronnie Bills.

Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Sprouse Roberts, Connie 
Perkins Martin; sisters, Bessie Bills, Fran Salyer, Ann Hyatt; and a 
brother, Robert Claunch; grandchildren Noah Wicker, Kim Woods 
Rhoades, Kipper Woods, Jeremy Thomas, Jared Thomas, Bo Roberts, 
Danielle Jones and Dylan Martin; great-grandchildren Madisen and

ADA - Services for Opal Fern Nolen, Ada, will be held 10 a.m. 
Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Smith-Phillips Funeral Home in Ada. 
Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Ada. Officiating will 
be Rev. John B. Hoosier II of Fayettville, Arkansas.

Mrs. Nolen died October 1, 2008 at Valley View Hospital in Ada at the 
age of 95. She was born January 13, 1913 in Dibble, Okla. to Barney 
Albert Freeman and Dedie Nichols Freeman. She married Bruce T. Nolen 
February 25, 1946 in Ada. Mr. Nolen died in April of 1998.

Mrs. Nolen was a homemaker all of her life. She was a "hard shell" 
Baptist.

She was survived by three children: John C. Nolen of Ada; Calvin W. 
Nolen and his wife Debra of Ada; and Nita Jones of Ada; six 
grandchildren: John M. and Claudia Nolen of Wynnewood; Michelle 
Griffin of Mansfield, Texas; Justin W. and Christy Nolen of Midwest 
City; Nathan and Kattie Nolan of Ada; Penni and Charles Brady of 
Ardmore; 11 great grandchildren: Shelby and Bailey Griffin of 
Mansfield, Texas; Jacob, Caleb, and Abigail Nolen of Midwest City; 
Taylor, Kyden, Kendra, and Allie Nolen, Jessie Cambell of Ada; Brady 
and Calin Brady of Ardmore.

Mrs. Nolen was preceded in death by her parents: Barney and Dedie 
Freeman; one brother: Lester Freeman; one sister: Marie Palmer; and 
one granddaughter: Janna Lynn Newton.

HERSHELL VON BUNYARD

CHECOTAH - Services for Hershell Von Bunyard, 75, will be Monday, 
Oct. 6, 2008 at Onapa Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Ford 
officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Checotah. 

Mr. Bunyard, 75, died Oct. 3, 2008. He was born Dec. 13, 1932 in Tom, 
Okla. and retired 10 years ago. 

He married Peggy McDaniel Jan. 1, 1966 in Oklahoma City. Mr. Bunyard 
was a 32-degree Mason as well as a Shriner. After retiring from 
owning the Cake Box Baker and Dandy Doughnut Shop, he and his wife 
moved to the Checotah area from Ada. 

Mr. Bunyard was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Stella 
(Stirewaltz Bunyard; sons, Bobby Wayne and Devon; sister Shirley 
Heilaman; brothers, Orville, Earl and John Paul Gills; and one 
grandchild, Shallah Bunyard. 

Survivors include his wife Peggy of the home; daughters, Diana Monds 
of Oklahoma City, and Terry and husband Berry Bell of Elgin Ill.; 
brothers Bob Gills of Hessmer, La., and James Bunyard of Yukon; nine

in Oklahoma City. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. 
until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mrs. McDermott died Thursday, October 2, 2008 at Ada, Oklahoma. She 
was born September 3, 1925 at Cedar Bend Township, Minnesota to Edwin 
and Beda Christine Bjork Norwig. She graduated from high school in 
Roseau, Minnesota in 1943 and attended the University of Minnesota at 
St. Paul.

She married Ralph Edward McDermott on May 13, 1946. He died March 22, 
2001. Mrs. McDermott was a homemaker and formerly was the Accounting 
Office Manager for Sears in Oklahoma City until her retirement. She 
was a member of the First Lutheran Church, was active in the Circle 8 
Square Dancers in Oklahoma City, a member of the Pontotoc County Home 
Extension Club and Garden Club.

Survivors include a brother-in-law, Dean McDermott; and several 
nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Asher Norwig, Kjell 
Norwig, Sten Norwig, and Ralph Norwig.

was born March 31, 1955, in Seminole to Richard and Harlene Shirey 
Dickerson.

She married Ron Webb in February 1976 in Oklahoma City.

Mrs. Webb moved to this area in 1989 from Asher. She was employed for 
many years as a registered nurse and at McCall's Chapel.

Survivors include her husband, Ron Webb, of the home; a son, Daylon 
Webb and wife Charity, Stillwater; two brothers, Larry Dickerson, 
Alaska, and Gary Dickerson, Choctaw; her mother, Harlene Dickerson

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa - Services for Zeb Coleman Colbert Jr., 59 
Marshalltown, Iowa, formerly of Ada, are 2 p.m. Thursday at Criswell 
Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Charlie Carter will officiate. Burial 
will follow at Hickory Hill Cemetery, south of Ada. Chickasaw Honor 
Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery. A Wake service 
will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Criswell Funeral Home.

Mr. Colbert died Monday, Sept. 29, 2008, in the Iowa River at 
Marshalltown, Iowa. He was born June 1, 1949, at Talihina, Okla., to 
Zeb Colbert Sr., and Hazel Parr Colbert.

He graduated from Ada High School and received an associate degree 
from Haskell Indian Junior College in Lawrence, Kan. He lived in this 
area most of his life and had moved to Marshalltown several years 
ago. Mr. Colbert was a carpenter and as a youth he was an altar boy 
with the Episcopal church near Richmond, Va.

He was a combat veteran and served in the U.S. Army from May 6, 1968, 
to May 5, 1974. He received the National Defense Service Medal,

She married Shawn Reeves Feb. 25, 1995.

She graduated from Shafter High School in Shafter, Calif., in 1990 
and graduated from East Central University in Ada in 1995 with a 
bachelor of science degree. She also received a degree in medical 
technology. She moved from Shafter, Calif., in 1993 to Ada, where she 
has lived since. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she 
was third grade Sunday School teacher, a member of Fellowship of 
Christian Athletes, a parent volunteer at Vanoss Public Schools where 
her daughters attended, a member of Sisters FBCA and American Society 
of Clinical Pathology.

Survivors include her husband, Shawn Reeves, of the home; three 
daughters, Hayley, Grace and Mallory Reeves, all of the home; her 
father, Sam L. Hooser, Ada; a brother, Sam Hooser and his wife 
Heather of Ada; a sister, Stacy Hooser, Ada; her grandmother, Viola 
Misenhimer of California; two aunts, Phyllis Sanders, Stratford, and 
LaWanda Cramer, Bakersfield, Calif.; and numerous other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Billye Hooser, and her 
grandfather, Bill Misenhimer.

OKLAHOMA CITY - Services for Gladys Faye Clemons, 80, Oklahoma City, 
formerly of Ada are noon Friday at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, the 
Rev. John D. Norvell will officiate. 

Mrs. Clemons died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008. She was born Dec. 20, 1927, 
at Monette, Ark., to Arvle and Gertrude Summers Adkins.

She lived in Sterling, Okla., and graduated from Sterling High 
School.

She married Dan Clemons in January 1947. He died in July 1998.

They lived in Norman, Okla., Collinsville, Ill., and Oklahoma City 
before moving to Ada in 1956. She worked with her husband at Clemons 
Thrifty-wise, and Clemons Wal-Mart Pharmacy. She retired from Fisher 
Properties in 1983. She moved to Oklahoma City in 2002 and lived with 
her daughter until her death. She was a member of St. Luke's 
Episcopal Church in Ada.

Survivors include a son, Dan Clemons II and wife Suzanne, Ada; a 
daughter, Denise Clemons, Oklahoma City; three sisters, Opal Bohreer, 
McAlester, Mary Kelly, Duncan, and Jane Turney, Ada; two brothers, 
Arvie Adkins Jr., and wife Donna, Duncan, and Dwain Adkins, and wife 
Carolyn, Duncan; a granddaughter, Savannah Clemons; and numerous 
nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Louis Daniel 
Clemons, a son, Charles Steven Clemons, and a sister, Pauline Oakly.

She married Raymond Vincent Howard. He died March 28, 1996, at

Mrs. Howard was a homemaker and a nurse's aide in California. She was 
an active member of Pennington United Methodist Church in Reagan.

Survivors include a special friend, William Baker; two daughters, 
Joyce Wesley, Milburn, and Ruth Howard, Ada; a son, Luther John, 
Tishomingo; a sister, Hannah Corsello, Tishomingo; 11 grandchildren;

Stone was an operator and supervisor for Wrangler Manufacturing 
Company for 23 years. She was an active member of the Stonewall 
Church of Christ.

She married Terry Stone on Feb. 9, 1979.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Stone, of the home; a son, 
Steven Humphreys and wife Misty, Jesse; three daughters, Shanna Stone

Mrs. Terry died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at her home. She was born 
Nov. 14, 1919, at Byrd's Mill, near Fittstown to William Frederick 
and Minnie Lee Jones Lynch.

She attended schools at Franks and McLish and graduated from McLish 
High School

She married Max Chaddick Feb. 19, 1938. He died July 3, 1995. She 
married Bill Terry Jan. 1, 1998. He died April 23, 2004. 

She and her husband moved to Pauls Valley in the early 1950s where 
they owned a skating rink and later a dress shop. She was the first 
woman juror in Garvin County. She and her family moved back to the 
Stonewall area in the early 1960s.

Mrs. Terry was a homemaker and a longtime active member of the First 
Baptist Church in Stonewall. In 2005, she chartered the Red Hat 
Society in Stonewall.

Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Estes and husband Gene, Bixby, 
and Susan Mills and husband Jim, Stonewall; grandchildren, Park 
Estes, Van Buren, Ark., Scott Estes, Tulsa, Andrea Cartwright, 
Denton, Texas, and Max Mills, Denton, Texas; 11 great-grandchildren; 
and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Lloyd Lynch 
and Ore Lynch, and four sisters, Leola Pleasant, Adee B. Jones, Inez 
Hines, and Loraine Lynch.

Mrs. Evans died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at her home. She was born 
Aug. 26, 1916, at Robinson, Ill., to Harry L. and Bernice M. Rhodes 
Boyd.

She came to this area in 1929 from Robinson, Ill. She attended Vanoss 
school and graduated from Horace Mann High School in Ada. She 
received a bachelor of art's degree in education and a master's 
degree from East Central State College.

She married Clyde J. "Hank" Evans Nov. 9, 1940. He died Nov. 3, 1994, 
in Ada.

Mrs. Evans taught elementary and junior high and high school English, 
retiring after 36 years of service. She was a longtime member of 
First Christian Church in Ada, where she was a member of the 
Wimodausis Guild, the CWF, and had served on many committees. She 
also taught the Dorcas Sunday school class.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel B. Evans and wife Shirley Jean, 
Corpus Christi, Texas, and James C. Evans and wife Lou Anne, 
Lawrenceville, Ga.; a sister, Udene Cummings, Plano, Texas; a 
brother, Harry L. Boyd, Purcell; four grandsons, Eric C. Evans, 
Corpus Christi, Texas, Jamie B. Evans, Loganville, Ga., Matthew D.

She worked for G.F. Wackers for more than 20 years and also worked in 
the kitchens for Lawton Public Schools. She was a member of the 
Calvary Baptist Church since 1955.

Mr. Schuh married Tina Marie Barney Sept. 8, 2000, in Ada.

was born October 6, 1941 at Ada to Buster "Buzz" and Bernice Freeman 
Morrison. She attended Latta schools.

She married Robert Turner on October 23, 1958 in Ada. Mrs. Turner was 
a homemaker and a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Turner, of the home; two sons, 
Steve Turner and his wife Penny, and Robert Turner, Jr., and his wife 
Dianna, all of Ada; two daughters, Cindy Lindsey and her husband 
Paul, Broken Arrow, and Wendy Williams, Russell, KS; five grandsons, 
Robert Rivers, Broken Arrow, Matthew Turner and his wife Kelley and 
Timothy Turner, both of Ada, and J.R. Williams and Devon Axelson, 
both of Russell, KS; two granddaughters, Jennifer Morales, Broken 
Arrow, and Nacole Turner, Ada; and one great granddaughter, Madelyn

She married William "Bill" Hamilton on February 16, 1958 at Lizton, 
Indiana. She was a homemaker and an active member of the New Life

ADA-Services for Warren Jackson "Jack" Bates, 87, Ada, are 10:00 a.m. 
Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, George Seaton and

Mr. Bates died Sunday, October 12, 2008 at his home. He was born 
December 4, 1920 at Wellston, Oklahoma to Charles T. and Docia 
Griffin Bates. He and his family moved to Ada in 1921 from Wellston. 
He attended Ada schools and graduated from Ada High School. At the 
age of 16, he attended the University of Oklahoma and received a 
Bachelor of Science degree as a Geological Engineer. He joined the U. 
S. Air Force in World War II and was honorably discharged as a First 
Lieutenant.

He married Helene Haley on February 29, 1948 in Ada, Oklahoma. She 
died February 18, 2002 in Ada. He later married Pansy M. Cradduck on 
February 14, 2004. Mr. Bates was a Lease Broker, a longtime member of 
the First Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, a member of 
the Salvation Army Board of Directors, where he received many awards, 
a member of the Gideons International, where he donated many bibles 
to various churches around the state, and the Kiwanis Club of Ada. He 
received many awards with the Kiwanis Club and had perfect attendance 
for 43 years.

Survivors include his wife, Pansy Bates, of the home; his brother, 
James Bates and wife Swane, Shawnee Mission, KS; a sister-in-law, 
LaVerne Bates, Ada; nephews, Dennis Bates, Byron Bates, Jimmie Bates 
and Richard Bates and wife Posie; nieces, Cindy Steinberg, Donna 
Forrest, and Pam Nuenke; and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Charles T. 
Bates and Kenneth Bates.

Bearers will be Charles Mayhue, Duard Thomas, John Martin, Carl 
Gilley, Doug Smith and Charles Barrick. Honorary bearers will be Guss 
Gaar, Stu Magaw, and the Men's Fellowship Sunday school Class of the

Washington. Mr. Anderson was employed with Four Star Insulation until 
his retirement.

Mrs. Cloar was born May 22, 1921 in Stratford to Karl and Bernice 
(Massey) Andrews. She died Oct. 12, 2008 at Ada. She attended 
Stratford schools and East Central State College where she was a 
member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority. 

She worked at a defense plant during World War II, Mary Lou's Dress 
Shop in Stratford, the Stratford Flower shop and the Stratford Star. 
Mrs. Cloar was a homemaker and a member of First Methodist Church. 
She was married to Bill Cloar at Stratford Nov. 9, 1940. 

Mrs. Cloar was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Karleen 
Jackson, Alice Irvin and Massey Bowie; brothers Guy Andrews and 
Kenneth Andrews. 

Survivors include husband William R. (Bill) Cloar of the home; two 
sons Joe and wife Rita Cloar of Ada, John and wife Manilla Cloar of 
Norman; grandsons Jay Cloar of Ada and Ryan Whitehorse of Norman;

Mr. Hilton died Sunday, October 12, 2008 at his home. He was born 
July 16, 1952 at Ada, Oklahoma to John Mitchell and Ruby Lee Miller 
Hilton. He graduated from Byng High School in 1970 and received a 
Bachelor 's degree in Psychology from East Central University in 
1979. While attended college, he worked for the Chickasaw Nation.

In 1987, Mr. Hilton was selected to serve as Special Assistant to 
Chickasaw Nation Governor Bill Anoatubby, and he continued in that 
position until his death. His position allowed him opportunity to 
help others in need of assistance. 

Survivors include one brother, Bill Hilton and wife Betty, Ada; two 
nephews, Billy Dewayne Hilton and wife Sarah, and their children, 
Natalie, Olivia and Parker Hilton, Ada, and Benji Hilton and family, 
Ada; great nieces and great nephew, Natalie Rose Hilton, Olivia Grace 
Hilton, and Parker Reed Hilton; an aunt, Bertha Allen, Ada; an uncle, 
Claude Miller, Ada; and numerous cousins and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruby Hilton.

Mrs. Williams died Sunday, October 12, 2008 at a local hospital. She 
was born October 27, 1925 at Tulsa, Oklahoma to Bert and Vera Redding 
Hawkins. She lived all her life in the Hickory, Roff and Ada areas 
and attended school at Hickory.

She married Kenneth B. Williams on June 21, 1941. He died July 29, 
1998. Mrs. Williams was a nurse's aide at Valley View Regional 
Hospital and later worked in central supply at the hospital until her 
retirement. Later, she was the Food Director at the First Baptist 
Church and was a member of the church.

Survivors include a son, Roy Williams and wife Marilyn, Claremore; 
two daughters, Lawana Sullivan and husband Earl, Ada, and Reta Kaye 
Prince and husband Vic, Mansfield, TX; five grandchildren, Darrel 
Sullivan and wife Terri, Kinney Sullivan and wife Gena, Andrea Wyrick 
and husband James, Randy Williams, Kevin Williams and wife Peggy, and 
Tynan and Shaylee Chesser; sixteen great grandchildren; two great

Mrs. Harris died Monday, October 13, 2008 at a local nursing home. 
She was born September 3, 1920 at Perry, Florida to Alfred and Effie 
Heflin Wright. She graduated from high school at Monroe, Louisiana, 
received a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University 
and a Master's degree in Nutrition from the University of Oklahoma.

She married George D. Harris on November 26, 1946. He died May 9, 
1989. During World War II, she was a civilian employee with the U. S. 
Army Air Corps. She taught aircraft instruments and visual aircraft 
recognition. Mrs. Harris taught Home Economics at Monroe, Louisiana 
and Allen, Oklahoma. She was on the East Central University faculty 
in the Home Economics department. She also worked as a licensed 
dietitian for the Chickasaw Nation. Mrs. Harris was a member of the 
First United Methodist Church in Ada.

Survivors include a daughter, Denitia St. Clair and husband Ron, Ada; 
a son, George Dean Harris Jr., and wife Susie, Bartlesville; a 
grandson, Nathan Ray Poteet, Hennessey, OK; a granddaughter, Michelle

She married Harold James Nov. 8, 1958 at Gainesville, Texas. Mrs.

CLARK LITTLEPAGE

ADA-Services for Jimmie Clark "Good Buddy" Littlepage, 76, Ada, are 
11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Criswell Chapel, Rev. John Hooser 
officiating. Burial follows at Rosedale Cemetery. The Chickasaw Honor 
Guard will conduct military honors at the cemetery. The family will 
receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Criswell 
Funeral Home. 

Mr. Littlepage died on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at The Colony, 
Texas. He was born October 9, 1932, at Battiest, Oklahoma, to Artie 
and Delia Griffin Littlepage. He attended school at Battiest and 
graduated from Battiest High School. He moved to Ada in 1950. He 
served 2 years in the military during the Korean War and graduated 
from East Central University in Ada. He was a postal carrier for 30 
years in Ada, retiring in 1987 and was a Southern Baptist.

He married Wanda Faye Brady in 1955 in Ada. She preceded him in death 
on March 18, 1984.

Survivors include a son, Darrel Littlepage, The Colony, Texas; a 
granddaughter, Jennifer McCuistion of Sanger, Texas; and two 
grandsons, Tyler Keith Littlepage and Dillon Chase McCuistion both of 
Sanger, Texas. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, and two brothers, Bobby 
Littlepage and Pete Littlepage.

Bearers will be Tim Hamel, Buddy Dean, Jason Sorenson, Darrel 
Littlepage, Scott Colip, and Perry Littlepage.

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Services for Sandra "Sam" Wesley of San Jose, 
Calif. will be 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at Thomas Family Cemetery in 
Stonewall, Okla. 

Ms. Wesley died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008 in Stonewall at the age of 
49. She was born June 12, 1959 in Talihina to Sandy Marshall Wesley 
and Willa Thomas. 

Ms. Wesley graduated from Oak Grove High School in San Jose, Calif. 
and was employed for many years as a Target Store manager. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Sandy Wesley. 

Ms. Wesley is survived by her mother, Willa Thomas of Stonewall; two 
brothers, Buddy Wesley and wife Ruby of Ada; Mike Montanez of 
Patterson, Calif.; one sister Jackie Valdez and husband Bill of 
Lewisville, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.

ALLEN - Services for Betty Lou Krebbs of Allen, Okla. will be 2 p.m. 
Tuesday, Oct. 21 at Allen United Pentecostal Church in Allen. 
Interment will follow at Allen Cemetery in Allen. Officiating will be 
Rev. Jack McNeely. 

Mrs. Krebbs, a longtime resident of Allen, died Friday, Oct. 17, 
2008, in Claremore at the age of 66. She was born Jan. 19, 192 in 
Talihina, Okla. to Willie and Nettie Leader Johnson. She married Gary 
Krebbs in 1978 in Ada. 

Mrs. Krebbs graduated from Haskell Boarding School She worked as a 
dental lab technician for Carl Albert Indian Hospital. She was a 
member of Allen United Pentecostal Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Alonzo Johnson and 
two sisters, Patsy Byars and Doris Zavala. 

Mrs. Krebbs is survived by her husband, Gary Krebbs of the home; one 
daughter, Vada Johnson of Claremore; one brother, George Johnson and 
his wife Yvonne of Ada; one sister, Pearl Williams of Allen; and many 
nieces and nephews. 

Bearers will be nephews.

Mrs. Gilliam died Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at The Woodlands, Texas. She 
was born June 7, 1930, in Ada to Thomas Epperson and Maggie Davis 
Epperson. She was raised in Lawrence, south of Ada, and graduated 
from high school at Fitzhugh. She was a long-time active member of 
Union Valley Baptist Church. 

She married Conrad Creighton Gilliam on March 30, 1948, in Pauls 
Valley. He preceded her in death on Dec. 15, 1994.

Survivors include three sons, Alan Gilliam, Huntsville, Texas; Harold 
Gilliam, Billings, Mont., and Robert Gilliam, Huntsville, Texas; 
seven grandchildren, Michael, Marci, Anthony, Terry, Ryan, JD, and 
Caleb; two great grandchildren, Madison and Austin; and a sister-in-
law, Dorothy Epperson, Holdenville.

She was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Gilliam in August of 
2006.

Bearers are Anthony Gilliam, Terry Richey, Ryan Gilliam, JD Corner, 
Josh Gilliam and Caleb Gilliam.

FRANCIS-Services for Horton Van Smith, 88, Francis, are 10:00 a.m. 
Tuesday at the Abundant Life Church of Ada, Revs. Robert Pettijohn 
and George Carson will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove 
Cemetery.

Mr. Smith was born January 16, 1920 at Francis, OK, to Horton V. and 
Jenny L. Poe Smith. He attended Francis schools.

He married Iantha A. Rainbolt on October 15, 1941 at Ada. She 
preceded him in death in September of 2005. Mr. Smith worked for the 
Frisco Railroad for 39 years and served as a locomotive engineer, he 
retired in January of 1980. He formerly served as a Deacon with the 
Cedar Grove Free Will Baptist Church, and he was a member of 
Shepherds Chapel. H. V. was one of the founding organizers of the 
Cedar Grove Cemetery and was on the board of directors for 40 years. 
He was also a member of the Good Sam's Club. Mr. Smith also served in 
the US Navy.

Survivors include a son, Ronnie Smith and wife Donna, Francis; a 
sister, Liz Chandler, Francis; two brothers, Glen Smith, Sulphur, and 
Jim Smith, San Antonio, TX; three grandchildren; Laura Smith, 
Francis, Donald Smith and wife Jeanne, Houston, TX, and Erica Mills 
Lee and husband Davy, Guam; and one great-grandson, Sammy Lee, Guam.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Iantha A. 
Rainbolt, and two daughters, Sharon Smith and Candy Smith Mills.

Bearers are Glenn Walker, Darrell Phillips, Tommy Chaffin, Sam 
Townsend, Gil Smith and Donald Smith.

Mrs. Andrews died Sunday, October 19, 2008 at her home. She was born 
May 4, 1922 at Stillwell, Oklahoma to James Newton "Jim and Locke 
Belle Vick Hicks. She attended Byng schools.

She married Joel Andrews on April 22, 1944 at Ada, Oklahoma. 

Mrs. Andrews was employed as a housekeeper at the Village Inn Motel, 
and later for the George Braley family and the Mike Smith family 
until her retirement and she was a member of Oak Avenue Baptist 
Church.

Survivors include her husband, Joel Andrews of the home; a son, Joel 
D. Andrews and wife Marilyn, Roff; three grandchildren, Shane Andrews 
and wife Jennifer, Roff, Buddy Andrews and wife LaDeana, Roff, and 
Robin McCullar and husband Jerel, Roff; four great grandchildren, 
Bryton, Brinlee, Jagger, and Maddux; and two sisters, Betty Walker 
and husband Stanley, Edmond, and Freda Andrews, Arlington, TX.

resident of Oklahoma City, will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at 
Oakwood Cemetery, Sulphur, Okla. 

Ms. Robinson was born June 27, 1925, in Sulphur to Adolphus Hodgeson 
Govett and Nella Arbee Swaney Govett. She was raised in Sulphur and 
attended Sulphur High School. There, she met Robert Douglas Robinson 
and they were married for 66 years before he preceded her in death 
April 24, 2008. She worked along side Robert in his business for 
Reznor as manufacturer's representative. She was a member of Crown 
Heights United Methodist Church. 

Ms. Robinson is survived by her daughters Lyn Robinson and husband 
Scott Grenfell of Bali, Indonesia, Joanne Kubier and husband Martin 
of Ada, Lynelle Zandstra and husband Mario of Tyler, Texas and Carol 
Robinson of Oklahoma City; brother Jerry Govett and wife Loretta of 
Oklahoma City and 10 grandchildren.

NEWTON, Kan. - Graveside services for Margaret Ellen Breeden Compton, 
89, Newton, Kan., formerly of Ada, Okla., are 11 a.m. Wednesday at 
Connerville (Oklahoma) Cemetery, the Rev. John Haynes and Marc 
Compton will officiate.

Mrs. Compton died Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008, at a Newton, Kan., nursing 
home. She was born Nov. 3, 1918, on the family acreage near Ada, 
Okla., to William E. and Lavina Taylor Breeden.

She attended grade school and high school in Ada. Mrs. Compton was a 
child care provider and later she worked as a nurse's aide at Valley 
View Regional Hospital. She attended the First Baptist Church in Ada 
for many years and was involved in the church nursery for several 
years.

She married E.L. Compton April 2, 1946, in Ada. He died Oct. 12, 
1990.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Compton and wife Becky, Ada, and 
Rod Compton and wife Sara, Newton, Kan.; grandchildren, Kathryn Baker 
and husband Jeff, Kremlin, Okla., Jonna Compton, Ada, Nicole Compton, 
Neosho, Mo., and Marc Compton, Newton, Kan.; three great-
grandchildren, Logan, Bentley, and McQuinn Baker; a brother, Calvin 
Breeden, Ada; and a sister, Thelma Gurley, Hilton Head Island, S.C.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and brothers, 
William, Grant, George, Logan and her twin Phillip.

ARLINGTON, Texas - Billy Joe Hicks Sr., 78, Arlington, Texas, 
formerly of Ada, Okla., died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, in Arlington.

He was born May 14, 1930, to James Newton and Locke Belle Vick Hicks 
in Ada. 

As a young man, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and 
later with the military police. After leaving the service, he worked 
various jobs and was most recently employed by WEISER Security 
Services, Inc.

Survivors include two sisters, Freda Andrews, Arlington, Texas, and 
Betty Walker and husband Stan, Edmond, Okla.; five daughters, Karen 
Stites and husband Mike, Aberdeen, Wash., Karla Johnson and husband 
Mark, Montesano, Wash., Annette Valenzuela and husband Robert, Broken 
Arrow, Okla., Jeanne Preble and husband Marvin, Sand Springs, Okla., 
and Lanora Lackore and husband Ron, Fairfield, Calif.; three sons,

She attended Oak Hill schools. She moved to Midwest City in 2002 from 
Ada. Mrs. Lane was a mother and housewife who lived in Oklahoma her 
entire life.She was a longtime member of the Church of God of 
Prophecy at Worstell.

She married John Sylvester Lane May 12, 1928, at Maud. He died Nov. 
27, 1996, in Ada.

Survivors include two daughters, Wyleta Gray, Phoenix, Ariz., and Joy 
Hatfield, Midwest City; a son, John Lane, Broken Arrow; a sister, 
Euna Sparks, Wagoner; grandchildren, Danny Gray, Mike Gray, Stanley 
Gray, Cindi Sanders, Beverly McGill and Todd Thacker; great-

Mrs. Chambers died Monday, Oct. 20, 2008, at a local nursing home. 
She was born Aug. 6, 1925, at Lula to Ed and Lona Riley Powell.

She attended Lula school and lived in the Roff area most of her life. 

She married Marion Jasper Chambers Sept 2, 1941, at Gaar Corner. He 
died July 11, 2007, at Ada.

Mrs. Chambers was a nurse's aide at Arbuckle Hospital in Sulphur for 
17 years. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Boatright and husband Don, 
Roff, and Doris Reed and husband Van, Ada; two sons, Andrew Chambers, 
Roff, and Frank Chambers, Davis; a daughter-in-law, Linda Chambers 
Rodorigo, Ada; six grandchildren, Keisha Brewer and husband Randall, 
Kimberly Ward and husband Jeff, Kristy Sagebiel and husband Marc, 
B.J. Anglin and wife Misty, and D'Ann Wyche and husband Dan, and Will

DICK GERSZEWSKI

BYNG - Memorial services for Richard Lucas "Dick" Gerszewski, 59,

Mr. Gerszewski died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008, at his home. He was born 
Oct. 23, 1948, at Milwaukee, Wis., to Magnus Richard and Elaine Helen 
Siewert Gerszewski. 

He married Donna Jean Smith on June 5, 1992, at Allegany, N.Y.

He and his wife moved to this area February 2007 from Fort Adkinson, 
Wis.

Mr. Gerszewski was an electrical engineer for Alliant Tech in 
Janesville, Wis. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the 
Vietnam War as a tank commander. He received a Medal of Valor, 
Service Ribbon, and the Purple Heart. Mr. Gerszewski was a member of 
Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, National Rifle 
Association, a charter member of Vietnam Chapter Marine Corps Tankers 
Association, and Experimental Aircraft Association. He was of the 
Catholic faith.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Gerszewski, of the home; three 
daughters, Jennifer McCourt and husband Robert, Ardmore, Tracy 
Apkarian and husband Jeff, Johnson Creek, Wis., and LaDawn Button and 
husband Al, Janesville, Wis.; a son, Derreck Brown-Gerszewski and 
wife Shannon, San Diego, Calif.; his parents, Magnus and Elaine 
Gerszewski, Milwaukee, Wis.; four brothers, Tom Gerszewski and wife

ELKHORN, Wis. - Services for Bernis Laverne King, 93, Elkhorn, Wis., 
formerly of Ada, Okla., are 2 p.m. Monday at Criswell Funeral Home 
Chapel, Van Newton will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial 
Park Cemetery, Ada.

Mrs. King died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2008 at Elkhorn, Wis. She was born 
Jan. 23, 1915, at Asher, Okla., to Bruce and Martha Butts Current. 

She married Alfred King Jan. 26, 1933. He died Oct. 16, 1979.

Mrs. King was formerly employed with Latta School Cafeteria and was a 
sales clerk at a retail clothing store. She was also a homemaker and 
a longtime active member of the Southwest Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, Jimmy R. King and wife Luvenia, Longview, 
Texas, and Wayne King and wife Glenda, Ada; two daughters, Janet Aday 
and husband Gary, Elkhorn, Wis., and Teresa Ervin and husband Ken, 
Euless, Texas; seven grandchildren, Kim Sharp, Caldwell, Texas, Kelly 
Howry, Ada, Greg King, Plano, Texas, Mike Aday, Bellevue, Wash., 
Chris Aday, Elkhorn, Wis., Dan Ervin, Bedford, Texas, and Lisa 
Glaspell, Bedford, Texas; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a 
granddaughter, Carrie King, and a brother, Maurice Current.

Bearers will be her grandsons, Kolby Howry, Kolton Howry, Mike Aday, 
Chris Aday, Dan Ervin, and Greg King. Honorary bearers will be Keith 
Howry, Ken Ervin, Darrell Sharp, and Gary Aday.

Mr. Lehman died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008, at his residence in Tecumseh 
He was born March 1, 1958, to Bill and Babe Lehman. 

He was a truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Lehman of the home; three sons, 
Levi Lehman and wife Lacy, Shane Jones, and Justin East, all of 
Konawa; one brother, Tommy Lehman and wife, Kay of Konawa; one

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Babe Lehman, and two

ADA - Graveside services for Marie Williamson Ramsey, 90, Ada, are 2 
p.m. Friday at Vamoosa Cemetery, the Rev. Ken Angel will officiate.

Mrs. Ramsey died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at a local nursing home. She 
was born Sept. 26, 1918, near Sasakwa to Cary Monroe and Martha 
Elizabeth Jones.

She lived in this area most of her life and attended Vamoosa schools. 
Mrs. Ramsey was a cook for J.D.'s Café, retiring after 27 years of 
service.

She married Earl Ramsey Jan. 1, 1963. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include three daughters, Neontha Harrison and husband 
Sonny, Roff, Delores Smith and husband Kenneth, Ada, and Elizabeth 
Horton and husband Earl, Ada; three sons, Bob Williamson, Arkoma, 
Glen Ray Williamson and wife Sharon, Penn Valley, Calif., and Tommy 
Williamson and wife Suzzette, Lone Grove; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-
grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, 
Clifford Jones, Checotah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earl Ramsey, a 
daughter, Joy Williamson, three sisters, Earl Mae Hodges, Ora Adams, 
and Wanda Freeman, and six brothers, Audie Jones, Heral Jones, Cary 
Monroe Jones Jr., Woodrow Jones, Bill Jones and Winfill Jones.

JUNE CRUMB

ALLEN - Services for June Esther Crumb, 86, Allen, are 1 p.m. Monday 
at Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Buddy Drake will officiate. 
Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive 
friends from noon Monday until 1 p.m. Monday.

Mrs. Crumb died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at an Allen nursing home. She 
was born June 27, 1922 near Wetumka to Charles Walter and Ethel Leona 
Caton Clayton.

She attended school in five local school districts, graduating as a 
salutatorian from Hickory High School in 1941 and attended East 
Central State College before going to work at Hazel Atlas Glass 
Company.

She married T.A. Crumb on Oct. 18, 1942, in Denton, Texas. He died 
July 5, 1973.

She and her husband owned and operated Crumb's Auto Service of Ada 
for 17 years. In 1964, she became licensed as a nutritionist at East 
Central and served as director of food services at McCall's Chapel 
for 27 years, retiring in 1990. She was an active member of Free Will 
Baptist Churches in Oakman, Ada and Allen for 74 years. She served as 
a Sunday school and Vacation Bible School teacher for several years 
and worked with the Ladies Missionary Auxiliary.

Survivors include two sons, John Alton Crumb and wife Barb, Canton, 
Ill., and Clay Anthony Crumb, Allen; a daughter, T. Aola Parker and 
husband Mark, Allen; a sister, Evelyn Speake and husband Claude, Fort 
Worth, Texas; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one 
great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, 
Trudy Ann D'Veney of Ada, and a brother, John David Clayton of 
Arlington, Va.

DENTON, Texas - Graveside services for Minta Isabell McNinch, 90, 
Denton, Texas, formerly of Ada, Okla., are 10 a.m. Saturday at 
Rosedale Cemetery, Ada, the Rev. Gary Jamar will officiate. The 
family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Criswell Funeral 
Home.

Mrs. McNinch died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2008, at a Denton, Texas, 
nursing center. She was born Dec. 2, 1917, at Stonewall, Okla., to 
Walter and Nellie Henderson Miller.

She married Leo Ray McNinch. He died Oct. 1, 1996

Mrs. McNinch was a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter, Gayle McNinch Moran and husband Bill, 
Mt. Springs, Texas; and a son, Donald Ray McNinch and wife Brenda, 
Dothan, Ala.; one sister, Essie Oliver, Claremore, Okla.; two 
brothers, Bib Miller, Tulsa, and Loyd Miller, Ada; and three 
grandchildren, Chris Moran and wife Leslie, Sanger, Texas, Shawn 
McNinch and wife Martha, Granite, Okla., and Terri Newman; and nine 
great-grandchildren.
