Aaron F. Smith

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Brooks Funeral Directors Chapel in
Canyon with Mike Suiter, pastor of San Jacinto Church of Christ, officiating.
Burial will be in Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon.

Mr. Smith was born Dec. 14, 1930, in Erick, Okla., to Cecil and Mamie
Hamilton Smith. He graduated from Erick High School in 1948 and married
Esther Jean Higgins in Albuquerque, N.M., on March 10, 1953.

He joined the Air Force in 1950 and served during the Korean War. He retired
from Asarco Zinc Smelter after working there for 15 years. He was a member
of San Jacinto Church of Christ.

Survivors include three daughters, Linda Cotter of Canyon and Kathy Davis
and Carol Thaggard, both of Amarillo; two brothers, Hoyt Smith of Amarillo
and Eldon Smith of Pampa; a sister, Yvonne Moler of Pampa; six
grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials be to Amarillo Senior Citizens Association,
1300 S. Polk St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
