Monticello Republican (Monticello, (Miss.)) 1820-18??: April 01, 1820 March 25, 1820
COMMITTED to the Jail of Lawrence county, Mississippi, on the 20th instant, the
following Deserters, who say they belong to the 8th Regt. U. S. Infantry, viz.
SYLVANUS CHACE, about 27 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, dark hair and
complexion. He has lost the thumb off his right hand.
WILLIAM BAKER, about 20 years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, dark complexion.
JEREMIAH BEAN, about 34 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high; also of a dark
complexion. J. S. MILLER, Jailer. Monticello, March 25, 1820.
