Robert "Wade" Asher

Robert "Wade" Asher of Cherryville, Missouri was born on Thursday, 
September 13, 1962 in St. Louis, Missouri to Robert "Bob" Lee and 
Wanda Faye Dunlap Asher and passed away on Saturday, 
November 16, 2019 at the age of 57 years, 2 months and 3 days.
Wade accepted the Lord when he was 16 years old.  He graduated
from North County Technical School for small engine repair in 
St. Louis, Missouri in 1980 and graduated with a Pastoral Degree 
from Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in 1982.
He married Marsha Deanne Delcour on May 5, 1990 at the Assembly 
of God Church in Steelville, Missouri.
Wade had experience with many jobs including being a prison guard, 
salesman and delivery driver. He was an ordained minister and 
performed the wedding ceremony for his sister Yvonne and her 
husband Rick.
Wade spent the last several years of his life with his fiancˇe 
Tamara "Tami" Sue Strutman. Together they attended Faith Church 
in St. Louis, Missouri.
Wade loved kayaking, swimming, snorkeling or even just wading. He 
loved driving fast cars around curves, riding four-wheelers and 
dirt bikes. Wade was a conversationalist who was always telling 
stories, jokes and making people (and himself) laugh. He traveled 
to many beautiful places with his fiancˇe Tami. Most of all, he was 
crazy about his kids.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Bill and Hazel Asher and 
Herman and Frona Dunlap; mother, Wanda Asher; sister, Pamela Sue 
Asher; and brother-in-law, Jeff Mitchell.
He is survived by his father, Robert "Bob" Asher of Cherryville, 
Missouri; children, Gabrielle (Anthony Rogers) Asher of St. Louis, 
Missouri and Taylor (Brenda) Asher of Jefferson City, Missouri; 
step son, Justin (Barb) Wright of Steelville, Missouri; 
grandchildren, Jack and Grayson Wright of Steelville, Missouri and 
on the way Baby Avery Asher; fiancˇe Tami Strutman of St. Peters, 
Missouri; Tami's children, Max Strutman and Madison Strutman; 
sisters, Tammy (Jim) Smith of Hillsboro, Missouri and Yvonne 
(Rick) Leuthauser of St. James, Missouri; Tami's siblings, Leann 
(Paul) Walters of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Terry (Shari) Stewart of 
Lehigh Acres, Florida; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, 
November 23, 2019 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, 
Missouri.
Celebration of Life immediately followed with Rev. Jerry Beers 
officiating.
The family chose cremation as his final disposition.
Arrangements under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home 
in Steelville, Missouri.


Terry E. Counts

Terry E. Counts of Steelville, Missouri was born on Thursday, 
December 14, 1961 in Franklin County, Missouri to Arthur "Lee" Jr. 
and Mary Ann (Wyatt) Counts and passed away on Saturday, 
November 16, 2019 at the age of 57 years, 11 months and 2 days.
Terry was a lifelong resident of Steelville, Missouri and attended 
Steelville High School.  He accepted the Lord early in life and 
attended the Assembly of God in Steelville, Missouri as a child.
He married Betty Lou Barnicle on Saturday, May 29, 2004 at the 
Slovensky School House in Steelville, Missouri.
Terry worked at Arneson Timber Company in Steelville, Missouri for 
a number of years.  He was a former member of the Crawford County 
Fox Hunters Association.  He loved to drink coffee.  He enjoyed 
the outdoors, especially to hunt and fish.  His kids were his 
world.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Lee Counts Jr. and 
Mary Ann Counts; and brother, Jerry Counts.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Counts of Steelville, Missouri; 
children, Josh (Ashley) Counts, Corey Counts, Carly Counts, all of 
Steelville, Missouri; brothers, Rick (Angie) Counts and Ray (Mary) 
Counts, both of Steelville, Missouri; sisters, Kay (Rick) Wheeler 
of Yankton, South Dakota and Jennifer (friend Kim Myers) Matchell 
of Cuba, Missouri;  sister-in-law, Bobby (Zack) Knox of Liberal, 
Missouri;  mother-in-law, Tammy (Emery) Harmon of Steelville, 
Missouri; two granddaughters; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4:30-6 p.m. on Saturday, 
November 23, 2019 at the Hutson Funeral Home in Steelville, 
Missouri.
Celebration of Life was at 6 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Beers 
officiating.
The family chose cremation as his final disposition.  
Arrangements under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home in 
Steelville, Missouri.


Mitchell Farris Jannings

Mitchell Farris Jannings was born June 20, 1997 at St. John's 
Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri to Michael Scott and Shelley Rae 
(Sappington) Jannings and passed away on November 19, 2019 at the 
age of 22 years, 4 months and 29 days.
He was the Samuel to Hannah for Shelley and Mike, a gift from God. 
Together they enjoyed many wonderful family trips. Four-wheeler trips 
to St. Joe State Park, Finger Lakes State Park, Land Between the 
Lakes in Kentucky, Ride Royal Blue in Tennessee, Hatfield and McCoy 
Trails in West Virginia, various trails in Colorado and rides in 
Michigan were the way they spent time together with friends & family, 
including Grandpa and Grandma Bandy on each trip. They also enjoyed 
beach time in Florida, Mexico and Jamaica, as well as fall trips to 
Eureka Springs, camping trips, fishing at Uncle Dean's cabin on the 
Bourbeuse River and road trips with or without destinations.
Every year for Mitchell's birthday there was a grand celebration at 
their home which invariably ended with his dad's famous fireworks 
display.
He grew up attending Cross Roads Baptist Church in Leasburg, 
Missouri which he was baptized into as a member on December 12, 2004. 
For many years, he has been the groundskeeper for the cemetery there 
and has been a trustee since 2016.
From preschool to graduation, he attended Bourbon schools, graduating 
in 2015. He then went to work at Onondaga Cave State Park because he 
loved nature, the outdoors & operating various equipment. Most 
recently, in August of 2019, he was proud to begin work as a 
transport driver with Wallis Oil, after completing commercial 
truck driving courses at Forest Park Community College.
He also enjoyed helping neighbors and others in his spare time.
Mitchell was very proud and vocal about being a Republican. As a 
very young boy, he stayed up late to watch George W. Bush in the 
presidential debates, and was also a proud supporter of President 
Trump, sporting bumper stickers and t-shirts.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Evelyn Jannings, 
Stephen Jannings, Paul Sappington Sr. and Carole Bandy; and his 
great grandparents, Viola Richter, Birdie Sappington and Farris 
Sappington.
He is survived by his parents, Mike and Shelley Jannings; his 
grandfather, James Bandy; grandmother, Diane Sappington; his best 
friend, Craig Lawrence; the love of his life, Makayla Counts; 
other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2019 
t the Calvary Baptist Church in Bourbon, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2019 
at the Cross Roads Baptist Church in Leasburg, Missouri with 
Pastor Jim Huitt officiating.
Interment followed in the Cross Roads Cemetery.
Arrangements under the direction of the Eaton Funeral Home and 
Cremation Center of Sullivan, Missouri.

Camille Ogden

Camille Ogden (nee Whyte) of Steelville, Missouri was born on 
Monday, November 2, 1925 to Haley Kennon and Maggie Cape Whyte at 
Truxton, Missouri and passed away on November 20, 2019 at the age 
of 94 years and 18 days.
Camille married George R. Ogden on November 25, 1948 in St. Louis, 
Missouri and enjoyed 53 years of marriage until George passed away 
on December 14, 2001.  
After raising their sons, Camille attended Mineral Area College for 
two years and Southwest MO State for two years.  She received a 
Bachelor of Science degree in Education in the field of art.  She 
taught at Cuba High School for 17 years.  She was a member of the 
MO Retired Teachers Association.  She loved working with all ages 
of children including in the youth center at her church and 
tutoring children.
She was a "Round Table" friend, a volunteer at the Steelville 
Chamber of Commerce, a Sunday School teacher, a former Elder 
and Deacon and a Den Mother of Boy Scouts.
She worked with the Adult Literacy Program and also worked at 
the Meramec Music Theater.  In her remaining spare time she 
enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Haley and Maggie Whyte; 
husband, George Ogden; parents-in-law, George  (Lavonne Betty) 
Ogden Sr.; sister, Vivian Mae Whyte; brothers-in-law, Charles Moelm, 
and George Hieken; and sister-in-law, Darlyne (Earl "Bud") Costly.
She is survived by her sons, Glen S. (Rhonda) Ogden of Steelville, 
Missouri and Don W. (Linda) Ogden of Rogers, Arkansas; sisters, 
Clarice Moelm of St. Louis, Missouri and Ruby Jean Hieken of Meramec, 
New Hampshire;  grandchildren, Stephanie Ogden of Conroe, Texas, 
Stacy (friend Ryan Jones) Ogden of Sullivan, Missouri, Summer 
(friend Jeremy Davis) Beeman of Bourbon, Missouri, Michael (Delana) 
Ogden of Pensacola, Florida, Daniel (Cassie) Ogden of Denton, Texas, 
Tabitha (Jerry) Highfill of Gulf Breeze, Florida and Courtney Castor 
of Owensville, Missouri; great grandchildren,  Austin Heath of Arnold, 
Missouri, Lane Heath of Conroy, Texas, Camille Ogden of Denton, Texas, 
Jovia Highfill of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Kyler Ogden-Davis, Kolton 
Davis and Kayden Davis, all of Bourbon, Missouri, Jax and Declan 
Ogden of Denton, Texas;  other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2019 at 
the Hutson Funeral Home in Cuba, Missouri.
Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 
at the Steelville Presbyterian Church in Steelville, Missouri with 
Pastor Wendy Downing officiating.  
Burial was at 1:15 p.m. at the Jefferson Barracks Cemetery, St. Louis, 
Missouri.
Pallbearers were Michael and Daniel Ogden, Jerry Highfill, Ryan Jones, 
Jeremy Davis, Austin and Lane Heath. Honorary pallbearers were Kyler, 
Kolton, Kayden Davis, Declan and Jax Ogden.  
Arrangements under the direction of the Hutson Funeral Home, 
Steelville, Missouri.


Helen Faye Plank

Helen Faye Plank of St. James, Missouri was born on August 10, 1933 
in St. Louis, Missouri to Louie Dillon and Grace Louisa Tomlinson 
Plank and passed away on Sunday November 17, 2019 at the age of 
86 years.
She loved to sew and did sewing for her sisters when they were 
growing up. She was more than a big sister, she was always there 
for them and for the family. She worked for the telephone company 
in St. James, Missouri as the business secretary for many years for 
Jack Bartruff. She then worked for the St. James School for over 
40 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louie Dillon and Grace 
Plank; one brother, Louie Plank; and one niece, Kim Pilger.
She is survived by three sisters, Janet Grace Snelson of St. James, 
Missouri, Patsy Ruth Pilger of St. James, Missouri and Joyce Ann 
Wiseman of Florissant, Missouri; other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, 
November 23, 2019 at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri.
Funeral services were held at noon on Saturday, November 23, 2019 
at the Jones Funeral Home in St. James, Missouri with Stephen 
Brubaker officiating.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
Burial was in the St. James Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home 
in St. James, Missouri.


Deborah Kay "Debbie" Schatz

Deborah Kay "Debbie" Schatz of Cuba, Missouri was born to Kenneth 
and Glendola (Sears) Morse on January 22, 1953 in St. Joseph, 
Missouri and passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the age 
of 66 years.
Debbie was a member of Anointed Faith Tabernacle Church.
She served on the Board of Directors of Disabled Citizens Alliance 
for Independence in Viburnum and helped form Heartland Independent 
Living Center in Owensville. She knew what it was like to be 
disabled and she loved helping others live an independent life.
She always had a great sense of humor and she loved spoiling her 
two dogs Buster and Pooter. She enjoyed working on crossword and 
jigsaw puzzles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Glendola 
Morse; and husband, Jerry Schatz.
She is survived by three children, Sonja Stroup of Cuba, Missouri, 
Gary Freeman of Sullivan, Missouri and Matt Freeman of Cuba, 
Missouri; five grandchildren, Mark and Gary Freeman, Ashley Shade, 
Breanna King and Korrin Schmidtke; three great grandchildren, 
Liam Shade, Oliver and Lillian Downing; six sisters, Patricia 
Paxton of Leavenworth, Kansas, Vicki Vanco of Martinez, Georgia, 
Pamela Lohmeyer, Sandra McCullim, Karen Reynolds and Sharon Morse; 
one brother, Kenneth Morse Jr., all of St, Joseph, Missouri; other 
relatives and friends.
In keeping with her wishes, Debbie was cremated.
Private family services were held.
Arrangements under the direction of the Mizell Funeral Home of 
Cuba, Missouri.
