Was surrendered at Citronelle, Alabama after the battle of Fort Blakeley Alabama, imprisoned at Ship Island, Mississippi, paroled at Jackson, Mississippi. He was in St. Joseph, Missouri in 1870. He married Almyra Jane Forsyth and had six children. He served as a private in the 4th MO company M and the 5th MO company G. I am not sure but I believe that he is buried in Fennimore WI. I know for sure that he is burried in Grant Co WI.
