LAWRENCE, FAYE PREVOST
Faye Prevost Lawrence, 81 years old, of Hammond, passed away on Dec 18, at 
North Oaks Hospital.  She was a wonderful mother, Maw Maw and a thoughtful 
caring friend, who was loved by many.  Survivors include her daughterÕs 
Karen (Charlie) Chandler, Beverly Myers and a son, John L. (Edith). 
Lawrence. Sisters include Dorothy Slade & Nellie Sawyer; Brothers Ken, Don 
& Raymond Prevost.  She had 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John T. Lawrence and 
a son, Tommy Lawrence; her parents, Grace and Fred Prevost; her brothers, 
Brit, Floyd, Ernest, Marvin, Mack, Clarence and Aubrey Prevost; her 
sisters, Bonnie Sherwood, Gladys Newsham, Genievive Robertson & Anna 
Robertson, and twin great grandchildren.  Friends will be received at 
Brandon G. Thompson Funeral home in Ponchatoula from 6 to 9 p.m., Tuesday, 
December 20, and then from 9 - 11 a.m., on Wednesday December 21. Services 
will be led by Rev. Pete Charpentier and Leon Dunn. Interment will follow 
in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Thompson Drive, Hammond.  In lieu of 
flowers donations can be made to Woodland Park Baptist Church building 
fund, 1909 J.W. Davis Dr., Hammond La. 70401.  Condolences and other

LAWRENCE, GRACE THOMAS
Funeral services for Mrs. John B. Lawrence, 68, who died at her home in
Amite on Wednesday, July 26, were held Thursday, July 27, from the McKneely
Funeral Home in Amite.  Interment was in Amite cemetery.  Born April 30, 
1882 in Jacksonville, Ark., she was the former Miss Grace Thomas, and had
been a resident of Amite for the past 53 years.  She is survived by her
husband; one daughter, Mrs. R. P. Norwood of Amite; one son, Thomas 
Lawrence of Amite; one granddaughter, Carolyn Norwood.

JoAnn Reeves Lawrence, 60, Hammond, died July 28, 2009 at 5:40 p.m.  She is
survived by daughter Kenya Lawrence Jackson (Wallace, Jr.) of Hammond.  She
is preceded in death by Dorothy M. Lucien (mother), S.M. Reeves (father)
James A. Reeves (brother), Joseph and Elizabeth Meyers (grandparents)  She
was an educator and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. 
Visitation will be at Greenfield Baptist Church Sunday, August 2, 2009 from
4-8 p.m. Visitation will continue Monday, August 3, from 9-10:45 a.m. The
funeral will follow at 11:00 a.m. It will be conducted by the Rev. Jerry
Hannibel.

LAWRENCE, JOHN THOMAS
John Thomas Lawrence, 90, of Hammond, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 in North
Oaks Medical Center.  He was born on September 13, 1917 in Elberton,
Georgia, son of the late Lewis Lawrence and Daisy Cooley Lawrence Eberhart.
Mr. Lawrence was a long time owner and operator of heavy equipment. He was
instrumental in working on many of the early state drainage projects in the
area, as well as clearing the land for many local subdivisions.  Surviving
are his wife of 54 years, Faye Prevost Lawrence; daughter, Beverly Lawrence
Myers; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Charles Chandler; son and
daughter-in-law, Dr. John and Edith Lawrence; 8 grandchildren and spouses,
Johnette and Joey Ippolito, Mark and Sherry Myers, Paul Myers, Diana and
Lonnie Currier, Cindy and Norman Falk, Dena Rose, Jennifer and Rob Dunn,
and Amy and Bobby Lang; 11 great- grandchildren, Jeremy, Joshua, Rayna,
Luke, Daren, Summer, Samantha, Ella, Christa, Cameron, and Chandler
Madison;1 brother, Gene Lawrence; and 1 sister, Malene Gunter.  He is
preceded in death by his son, Tommy Lawrence; 1 brother, Wilbur Lawrence;
and 2 sisters, Frances Davis and Genell Blume.  Friends will be received at
Harry McKneely & Son in Hammond on Thursday, May 8, 2008 from 6 p.m. until
9 p.m., and after 9 a.m. on Friday. Services will be held in the Funeral
Home Chapel Friday, May 9, 2008 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Pete Charpentier and
Rev. Leon Dunn officiating.  Interment will follow in the Parklawn Memorial

from burns received when her clothes caught fire in her home, were held

LAWRENCE, MILDRED JENKINS 
Mildred Jenkins Lawrence, 83, a retired school teacher for the Tangipahoa 
Parish School System, died Monday, Dec. 1, 2003, at West Jefferson Hospital 
in Marrero after a long illness. She was born in Bagley, Wis., she lived in 
Hammond for more than 53 years. She held a bachelor's degree in education 
from the University of Wisconsin at Plattville and a master's degree in 
education from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and she had 30-
plus hours from Southeastern Louisiana University. She was a member of the 
Daughters of the American Revolution, Decendents of the Mayflower and Les 
Mesdames. She is survived by a sister, Thelma Zipfel of Illinois; three 
children, Christopher Lawrence of Alabama, Jennifer Duplessis of Waggaman 
and Johanna Lawrence of Dunlap, Tenn.; and six grandchildren. Her husband 
was Paul Ralph Lawrence, and her parents were Leslie and Mabel Jenkins, 
all deceased. A memorial service will be held at United Methodist Church 
in Bagley at a later date. Burial will be in Wyalusing, Wis.

Cindy Falk, Robert; a stepdaughter, Debbie Darrow, Xenia, Ohio; four 
stepsons, Nathan, Daniel, Kevin and Bryan Darrow, all of Xenia; a grand-
daughter, Samantha Falk, Robert; a brother, Dr. John L. Lawrence, 
Shreveport; two sisters, Beverly Myers and Karen Chandler, both of Hammond; 
and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to North 
Oaks Hospice or Woodland Park Baptist Church building fund.
