Elizabeth "Betsy" Cockrum Smith, 51, of Picayune, Miss., passed away Thursday, 
Sept. 30, 2010, in Slidell. 

She was the beloved wife of Glenn C. Smith for the past 34 years; loving mother 
of daughter, Shannon Melissa Smith Boteler and husband Joseph Boteler and son, 
Jason A. Smith; daughter of Dincell C. and Marilyn L. Cockrum of Knob Noster, 
Mo.; and sister of William C. Cockrum and wife Julie of Glenwood, Iowa and 
Rebecca Landkamer and husband Paul of Warrensburg, Mo.

She is also survived by three grandchildren, Michael Boteler, Joseph Boteler IV 
and Madeline Boteler, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was a native of Knob Noster, Mo., a longtime resident of Slidell, and a 
resident of Picayune for the past 6 years. Elizabeth was a member of 
Resurrection Life Church of Picayune, and volunteered with the church often at 
The Pines Nursing Home in Picayune.

All services are being held privately. 

Donations to The Pines Nursing Home, 1201 Kingsway Dr., Picayune, MS 39466 are 
preferred in lieu of flowers.
