Norma Marie Viator Smith, 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 
2014. 

Born in New Iberia, she resided in Norco most of her life and was the beloved 
wife of the late James Warren Smith, Sr. for 46 years. 
She is survived by her children J.W. Smith, Jr. (Smittie) of Norco, Patricia 
Smith Connell and grandson Landon K. Connell of Tickfaw, along with many nieces 
and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Daphnes 'Fan' and Heloise David Viator, 
along with 3 brothers Raymond 'Tiyo', Daphnes 'Goo Goo' Jr. and Raymond Anthony 
Viator, all of New Iberia, along with son-in-law Frederick L. Connell, Jr.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker who loved cooking, reading, square dancing, was an 
accomplished seamstress and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Norco. She 
enjoyed many cruises and traveling with her family and friends. Family members 
and caring friends will greatly miss 'Sue Sue' and her humor.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Sacred Heart of 
Jesus Catholic Church in Norco, La. on Thursday, April 10, 2014 from 10:00AM 
til 11:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to be followed at 11:00 AM. 

Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Mausoleum in Metairie, La.

Arrangements under the direction of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Norco, LA.
