BASTROP DAILY ENTERPRISE - JANUARY 16, 1975
JOSEPH WELDON RUSHING

Joseph Weldon Rushing, age 64, died Wednesday at approximately 7 p.m. at his 
residence on Lake Drive, Route 3, of an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Golden Funeral 
Home with the Reverend L.H. McCollough officiating. Burial will follow in 
Liberty Cemetery at Haile.

Mr. Rushing had resided in Bastrop since 1967. He was a retired employee of the 
Exxon Oil Company and was a memberof the First Baptist Church here, and also was 
a member of Woodmen of the World.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Helen Rushing of Bastrop; two daughters, Mrs. 
Austin King of Jonesville and Mrs. Rayna Jo Causey, Lafayette; three grandsons 
and one granddaughter.

Named as pallbearers are Hershell Jenny, Harold Chappell, David Ginn, Billy 
Williamson, Douglas Davison and John Pace.
