DEATH OF A VETERAN. -Mr. Frederick Hebert, an old and respected citizen of this 
parish, died on the 7th inst. Mr. Hebert was born in this parish in 1791 and was 
consequently 87 years of age at the time of his death. He was a veteran of 1814-
15, having participated in the battles below New Orleans in Col. Clouet's 
regiment, Capt. Michel Broussard's company, and was honorably discharged from 
service.

Deceased had lived under the rule of three nations and often boasted of having 
been a Spaniard, a Frenchman and an American, without leaving the state.

NOTE: Frederick Severin Hebert is buried in the Saint Anne Cemetery located in 
Youngsville, Lafayette Parish, Louisiana. findagrave memorial # 100013110
