P. DUHON DIES IN 8TH WARD AT THE AGE OF 75.

Philogene Duhon died at his home in the Eighth Ward of Lafayette Parish at 11:40 
Monday night, at the age of 75 years, 10 months and five days.

Funeral services were held at 4:30 this afternoon at St. Peter and Paul Catholic 
Church in Scott, followed by interment in the Catholic cemetery there.

Mr. Duhon, retired planter, was a son of the late Joseph Duhon and Marie 
Marcelite Trahan, pioneer settlers of this parish. He is survived by his widow, 
nee Marie Eulalie Duhon; one daughter, Mrs. Clemille Sonnier, Port Neches, 
Texas; four sons, Antoine Duhon, this city, and Ophe, Fernest and Sidney Duhon, 
all of Lafayette parish; 28 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were in charge of Crouchet and Guchereau, with the 
Dauterive Undertaking Co.
