FROM THE MCCREARY COUNTY RECORD (last week)

GRACE E. DAVIS, 77, died Tuesday, March 25, 2003 at Stearns, KY. Funeral services 
were held Saturday, March 29, 2003 at Bethel United Baptist Church, Parmleysville, KY 
with Rev. Gilbert Troxell, Rev. Hoyt Davis and Rev. Kelley Tucker officiating. 
Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery, Parmleysville, KY.

She was born December 7,, 1925 at Parmleysville, KY., the daughter of the late 
Kelsey and Alpha Baker Foster. 

She was a homemaker. She  was saved and joined church in 1940. At the time of 
her death she was a member of White Oak Junction United Baptist church. She 
married the Rev. Earl Davis on October 10, 1943. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two grandsons; James Davis 
and Anthony Davis. Two brothers are deceased; Junior Foster and Jim Fuzz Foster 
and four infant sisters are deceased. A daughter-in-law, Betty Davis preceded her 
in death.

Survivors include her children; Earl Davis, Jr. of Lafayett, IN; Jackie Davis 
and wife, Mildred of Beaver Dam, KY., and Jo Kidd and husband, Randall; 
Linna Hill and husband, Kenny and Loretta Thompson and husband, Wayne all of 
Stearns, KY. She is survived by brothers; Bobby Foster and Johnie Foster both of 
Monticello, KY. and David Foster of Lebanon, TN. Her surviving sisters are 
Louise Keeton and Alice Stout of Monticello, KY., and Barbara Russell of 
Coopersville, KY. Ten grandchildren survive; Crinda and Kenny Francke, Randy Kidd, 
Eric Davis, Jarrod and Monica Davis, David Davis, Miranda and Sam Lassinger, 
Jeremy Thompson, Beth and Joe Bryant, Kenny Hill II and Adam Hill. Seven great 
grandchildren survive; Alex and Zachery Francke, Reagan Kidd, Destiny Davis, 
Christian Kassinger, Rosanne and Rraxton King.
    
Pallbearers were Randy Kidd, David Davis, Eric Davis, Jerrod Davis, Jeremy Thompson, 
Kenny Hill II, Adam Hill, Kenneth Hill I, Randall Kidd and Wayne Thompson. Honorary 
pallbearers were Dwight Davis, Ronnie Foster, Ale Daugherty,, Mike Berry, Michael Berry, 
Dwayne Vanover, Willard Burke, Linville Clark, Kenneth Francke, Joe Bryant, 
Sam Kassinger, Bobby Foster, Johnie Foster, David Foster, Dean Davis, Hobert Coffey, 
John Duvall, JR., Bill Laxton, Mike Davis and Robbie Davis.
