OBITUARY
     Mrs. Sue DOWELL BASHAM, age 95 years and 4 month old, died Thursday, June 
1, 1961 at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Mack BROWN of Guston, Ky (Meade 
County).
     Mrs. BASHAM was born in Breckinridge County, the daughter of the late 
Robert and Elizabeth McCOY DOWELL.  She is survived by:
five daughters:
Gola BROWN of Guston, Ky
Carrie SHERLOCK of Lafayette, Indiana (Tippecanoe County)
Bessie GILLION of Louisville, Ky (Jefferson County)
Mary ARTMAN of Louisville, Ky
Eva WRIGHT of Louisville, Ky
two sons:
John BASHAM of Louisville, Ky
William BASHAM of Louisville, Ky
11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren
one sister:
Mrs. Ed HALL of Henderson, Ky (Henderson County)
     Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 3, 1961 from the Wright 
Funeral Home, and burial was in Cap Anderson Cemetery in Brandenburg, Ky 
(Meade County.

     

Additional Comments:
I did not find the parents of Mrs. Sue DOWELL BASHAM ( Robert DOWELL & Elizabeth 
McCOY BASHAM) in the Breckinridge County Cemeteries, volume one, published in 
1991.
