Smith to Miss Minnie Smith File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Joe Chapman <jchapman@optonline.net> Table of Contents page: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/taylor.htm Georgia Table of Contents: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm From the Butler Herald in Taylor County, Georgia -- week of November 3, 1895, probable publication date was November 6, 1895. Marriage The HERALD being delayed for one day, we take this occasion of mentioning the marriage of Mr. W.E.A.. Smith to Miss Minnie Smith at 4 o’clock this Wednesday afternoon at the residence of Miss Smith’s sister, Mrs. J.C. Sealey. Miss Smith is a most charming and intelligent young lady. Mr. Smith for a long while was in the clothing store of Mr. J.W. McCrary at this place. He is now a thriving merchant at Danville, GA. They will leave on the 6 p.m. train and carry with them the best wishes of scores of friends in Butler. Transcribed by J. Chapman The Smith wedding would have occurred on November 6th, 1895. There appears to be a second A in Mr. Smith’s name, i.e. W.E.A.A. Smith. It may be a dropped letter. ======================== USGENWEB NOTICE: In keeping with our policy of providing free information on the Internet, data may be freely used by non-commercial entities, as long as this message remains on all copied material.
