Funeral of C.B. Smith

Yesterday morning at the Episcopal church, the
funeral of one of the best and truest citizens that
Griffin has ever known, took place. It was the last
rite over the body of C.B. Smith.

At 8 o'clock the hearse reached the church, the pall
bearers being Messrs. J.D. Boyd, C.H. Westbrook,
M.J. Patrick, J.B. Mills, S.H. Deane and J.P.
Sawtell, all

Masons.

Rev. C. Dowe preached an impressive sermon to a
large congregation. C.B. Smith is dead, but his
memory will ever live in the hearts of the people of
Griffin and Spalding county.
